Though I have to say that this channel is different and I could watch them all day as I have many times before and when I first found them, but in general I agree with your statement. It would be cool if they did some competition type videos that were just a little bit longer though. Like all these guys made their style of breakfast and Josh and Ollie tasted each one to see who's is better..

Giving viewers the option to watch the uncut version on a second channel/VOD channel would be much appreciated. I never understood the issue of watching a longer video. It just means I have more content to consume and so what if the video is 45-60+ minutes and I only have 20 minutes for a break? That's what the pause button is for. I've happily paused midway through an anime or videogame playlist and returned when I have time again. There's no obligation to watch the full video in one sitting.

It’s so surreal seeing JOLLY in SortedFood’s kitchen!! SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS COLLAB!
In the mid 1980's, my wife and I, both from rural mid-America, had an opportunity to spend a week in England. We stayed at the Russell Hotel in London and took the option of a full breakfast every morning. Honestly, it was one of the biggest highlights of our stay and remained a fond memory we spoke of for decades. You definitely know what your doing there!
The fact that I am a long time fan of both Sortedfood and Jolly (the 2 best British run CZcams channels of all time might I add), and watch both channels DAILY... this is the greatest collab ever.
Which basically amounts to "A majority of it IS animal products." Even the beans they debated on likely had been cooked with bacon or some kind of pork. You could make something similar, but it wouldn't be a Full English Breakfast. It is as much a symbol as a anything else.
Ben mentioned on your last collab that Korea is on his hit list, will you guys ever take them on a tour through all of Josh’s favorite Korean foods?

I’m American, but I went to a program at Oxford University four times. They put us up in a sort of housing, with a dining hall with wonderful food. Every morning we got a buffet for breakfast with cereal, fruit, and also all the elements of a full English breakfast (you could pick and choose), but since they were on buffet steam table, we only had scrambled eggs. We had the triangular hash browns, the English non-streaky bacon (which I love but can’t get over here, the baked beans, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and probably some other things I can’t remember. I would take some of most of these things, and I loved it. I never bothered with the cereal option, and I’m not fond of baked beans, and only occasionally had any of whatever fruit was on offer, but I loved the other offerings and ate too much of it. Good memories.
I'm in the US and here the back bacon can be found under the name buck board bacon. It is hard to find anywhere that still makes it tho.
I get bored as an exchef and tend to go in wild kicks of making stuff.
I debone a whole pork butt(with the fat cap if I can find it) and then put some curing salts on for a week then smoke it its good homemade. Like a grand mix of streaky bacon and salty ham lol
Here is the US, back bacon tends to be called "Canadian Bacon," although there are other terms.
Which college in Oxford? Ours was truly awful, even at "formal hall". Great wine though.

As an American, I tried a full English when I was traveling. I was nervous about the black pudding, but it was absolutely delicious!

@@dallashunter5012 Kind of meaty, a little salty, with a texture kind of similar to a soft salami. There are onions and usually some sort of cereal (like oatmeal) and spices.
That's is probably the best sunny side up yolk I have ever seen 😋😋😋
During lockdown and panic buying, we started going to a local farmer for our eggs. Now things have returned to normal we still go to the farmer. I've had 10 out of 30 eggs in a tray be double yolks. Beautiful.
Except that it's red.
@@Puddleford free range chickens tend to produce darker yolk due to actually eating insects and other shit they should be eating. Weak yellow yolks indicate bad diet.
@@andycopland3179 yeah I know, I have many neighbors that raise chickens more free than what is usually termed free range, great eggs, but the yolks aren't red.

The whole baked bean debacle was the best thing I’ve seen today 💀. That’s exactly the argument my family uses when they say they’d rather have boxed cake over my homemade cake. I’m on the wizard’s side here lol
Cake is different. Heinz baked beans are iconic to every British person, that’s what everyone eats. I live in New Zealand and we don’t really have Heinz here but my parents go out of their way to buy only Heinz baked beans. Cake is obviously homemade all the way.

Ben's gasp over beans is a top 10 sorted moment now.
Potential video, personal top 10 or top 5 moments surprising the rest of the crew by recreating the dish I know upgrades on dishes have been happening. It should be part of that.
Ben is a bean lover. He probably slaved over those for hours only to be outdone by a tin.
But Ben's commercial background made him forget that the setting of a morning fry-up.
Since he is used to putting forth more effort in the kitchen than a home cook. He might not have as issue the extra time involved in making a pot of baked beans. In a commercial setting, someone else on the kitchen staff would likely have that task or making it and having it ready, or there would be a spot in the walk-in for a pot of beans made specifically for the breakfast shift.
I would love to see Sorted Food brought to Korea. Ben would have a great time with Josh and Ollie as guides.
I had no idea there was this much going into a full English breakfast, and people were so passionate about what can and cannot go into it! Love it.
A full English is a thing of beauty. Some may be confused by it, if they haven't grown up with it. Part of the pleasure is the nostalgia, memories of sitting around the table as a family, and I'm sure all families have their own version. But anyone can enjoy a full English, you just have to be open to it, and by gosh does it help a hangover!!! 😁

My wife is American so didn't understand beans for breakfast, until she tried them. American style beans tend to have a smoky bbq flavour, nothing like our baked beans.

This is the first time that I have seen Ben so offended that he took food that he made away from the others trying to eat it. Ben's homemade baked beans looked delicious and probably tasted wonderful.
I think it might have gone differently if the choice had been " For the beans we have this pot of homemade ones we already have or you can open a tin?"
Homemade baked beans are labor and time intensive enough that there is a reason most people open a tin. To me, it kind of implied that after getting up and deciding on breakfast, your first step is to take as much time making one component as the entire rest of breakfast would take.
Man I needed that, made me laugh. Josh looks like he's away go to a Korean sauna/bathhouse. Olly is just so naturally funny but Im sure he's well aware that Gordon Ramsay has just opened a burger restaurant in Seoul 😂😂😂😂😂
I realized why I love this ep a bit more.
Usually when Ollie makes comment like Gordon Ramsey and the burger resturant, I would only see Josh reacting to it (sometimes their other ftiends but they used to it). It is refreshing seeing other people I am familiar with reacting to Ollie's ment.
Here's hoping that Gordon finds out about this and responds to Ollie with a Gordon Ramsey burger and his signature vitriol.

Here from Sorted. As a non-meat eater, I can attest that no vegan Full English I've had has ever quite hit the mark in the way the traditional one does, but veggie sausages, hash browns, baked beans, fried bread, mushroom and tomatoes, plus eggs for non-vegans is still pretty great.
could you tell me which brand of veggie sausages you get? all the ones iv'e tried weren't the best. (aka actually inedible)
@@jikoos OMG yes. I'm a meat eater, but doing my occasional best to eat less, and every non-meat sausage i've tried has been flavourless drek. I don't need it to taste like meat, but i need it to be more than a sausage shaped texture.

You can bicker about additions and alterations all you want, but keep in mind the tradition of full English breakfast is a lot older that the Brits' knowledge of baked beans ;p at some point someone added baked beans, and everyone probably went mad over it. And now it's an essential element of the full brekkie! So, I'd say, adopt, adapt, accept, and love the brekkie in whatever shape or form it comes 😁

I used to eat those, absolutely fantastic.
Fun side note: these are also called a "Full Monty" after Field Marshall Sir Bernard Montgomery. While on campaign in World War 2, he would start every morning with a full english breakfast (although most times they would substitute spam for the traditional ham and/or sausages - supply issues in the desert limited what items were on hand). After eating that amount of food, he was ready to go the entire day without having to eat again, or very little, which enabled him to focus on his work and planning and so forth.
This is the jolly and sorted that I waited for! The video on sorted bit too serious for their personality altogether. So hilarious

Gorgeous fried eggs and extremely entertaining. You should do a lot more collaborations like this, where you take dishes and discuss options and make it with the choices agreed upon.

Both of the videos have been fun collaborations, everybody meshes well!
Few things missing from the breakfast plate though. Partly because different parts of the UK do it their way, so you get a Full Scottish, A Full Welsh & a Full Irish.
For the Scottish I like to add in a slice of fried clootie dumpling, slice of fried haggis, some "square/Lorne sausage", fried tattie scones & a side of kedgeree made with Arbroath smokies.
For the Welsh part add laverbread, with cockles & as a nod to the vegetarians a Glamorgan sausage.
For the Irish some toasted soda bread & some bubble & squeak.
For the large Asian community in the UK I like some sautéed Bombay potatoes & curried beans.
Some additions just for me are devilled kidneys, fried liver & a "fried slice". Sometimes the addition of a pork chop is good too. Though I love tomatoes the only way they should be on the breakfast table is in a "Bloody Mary"
It all has to be washed down with a pot of tea [Breakfast or Empress Grey] though a Masala Chai is good too.
Lastly is a lie down & a short nap.
As you can imagine we need large plates when we do this at home or I serve it up buffet style & folks help themselves.
I don’t know what most of the food is you’re talking about. I’m Scottish and I don’t even know what half of those things are lol
If you're going to add hashbrowns to an English breakfast, then streaky bacon should be allowed too.

@@MKR5210 Prezactly! Hash browns are an American thing that has crept into catering establishments' breakfasts in England. They are the grey squirrel of breakfast.
I would love to see you two go on a "field trip" to Korea with the SortedFood team for another collaboration and you could help them with some translation and the best things to see, do and of course, most importantly, eat while there.

Not sure about the rest of the nordic countries, but black pudding is known to Danes - mainly eaten during Christmas (depending who you are) - fried on a pan with some brown sugar. My mom loved it. It's been yrs since I had it.
In Poland you can also find something similar. We often take black pudding (kaszanka) on the grill with onions.
They have black pudding in other countries too? Is this like a Viking thing?
