    Damn, this riff is sooooo hard. Especcially tremolo while bending.

      I could see it. That song reminds me of something from After The Burial. We're all just connected to the Astral polygons.

    Definitely show us how. I've used Hydra for a few years and don't have it sounding as good as you do.

      The settings in kontkat are pretty default but tone wise. Absolutely, I could run through my current setup. A lot more goes into it mix wise and it all blends together but I can show it. Don't know what I'm doing but I like how it sounds

    Awesome riff, I was wondering if there were any quality Guitar VSTs out there! Is this easy to use with reaper where I can just drop a guitar pro file and it will accurately play articulations from gp? Appreciate the reply in advance thanks!

    • @ChristianSandviknes
      @ChristianSandviknes Před 5 měsíci +1

      It has it's own articulations from keyswitches, so it won't translate from guitar pro; you need to edit it yourself. On the plus side I found this one quite easy to work with, so I can still recommend it. (It's "Shreddage 3 - Hydra", btw - that's the name of the VSTi)

    Great ! Have you used shreddage with a guitar like a midi controller ? Using jam origin as midi interface ?

    • @HollowHeart-Studio
      @HollowHeart-Studio  Před 5 měsíci

      No, never, haha. Buying a midi guitar is so expensive and I'm not sure it would do me any better than just using one of my real guitars

      @@HollowHeart-Studiohow to get this guitar tone and drum sound

    • @HollowHeart-Studio
      @HollowHeart-Studio  Před 6 měsíci +3

      @secondrox Oh, I see. Never considered myself to be much of a producer. Just doing it because I can't afford someone that gives a better mix haha. The past year I've been trying to learn how to actually mix music so maybe at some point I can walk through it. I'm definitely not qualified to explain the reason behind anything I do or how to get good sounds. I honestly don't know what I'm doing. I've consumed many of the tutorial videos from bigger channels to get an understanding of what's going on.

    • @HollowHeart-Studio
      @HollowHeart-Studio  Před 5 měsíci

      I haven't recorded with a 6 string in ages, brother. I'd probably use the same tone I use for everything else but give the bass a little more mid lows if the guitar is tuned higher than drop B

    How did you get this guitar midi? Most of these cost like hundreds 😢

    • @HollowHeart-Studio
      @HollowHeart-Studio  Před 6 měsíci

      I bought it on sale quite some time ago. I think the $150 price tag isn't too bad for what you get. Unfortunately, full virtual instruments are going to be around 100-200 normally. Not nearly as bad as what I paid for my real instruments, haha.

    • @HollowHeart-Studio
      @HollowHeart-Studio  Před 6 měsíci

      @anormalperson2679 haha understandable. I worked with mostly free and super cheap gear for a while actually. I'd say 6 of 10 years into production was all free or under $50 plugins. When I finally got a good job, I decided to upgrade quite a bit. I highly reccomend shreddafe. Cheaper than buying an 8 string or paying someone to write multiple songs for you at a high quality.
      Thank you so much!

      @@HollowHeart-Studio I was thinking about buying a drop tune pedal but then realised that I don’t have a 700$ mic to record all of it lol… thanks, I’ll see to check out your recommendation

    • @HollowHeart-Studio
      @HollowHeart-Studio  Před 6 měsíci

      @anormalperson2679 I always use a stock DAW pitch shifter to automate my pitch changes. I highly reccomend the website zzounds for any music gear that you can't afford up front. I bought my mic from them years ago when I didn't have hundreds at once, but I had like 50 a month. For plugins, a lot of times there are really good free alternatives to mix. I invested all of my funds into virtual and real instruments to start with :) then worry about mixing down the road haha.
