    Defense gives up 31 UGLY points and you blame Flacco. Your defense forced him into the position to make those bad throws because he knew you couldn't stop their offense.

      Blame the OL partly. But Flacco threw bad passes under duress which turned the momentum with consecutive pick 6s. Kinda Will Anderson and companies fault.

      Browns “rested” their players. I said it was a HUGE mistake it was. The defense lost the game. The offense didn’t protect their QB very well either. When Joe saw they were not producing he tried to force the ball and that’s when the wheels always fall off the cart .

    • @kcorpora1
      @kcorpora1 Před 5 měsíci +4

      Thank you for knowing football and the game. Obviously others don't. That defense was pathetic and punks. They let Flacco down. They were all huddle up discussing because they let Houston run a 74 yard Td on a freaking screen play. Stroud missed a guy open when he burned the defender. They let Flacco down.

    • @m_chupon5131
      @m_chupon5131 Před 5 měsíci +1

      The offense worked until now because the great defense allowed Flacco to take risks and be aggressive. If the defense sucks, suddenly the entire gameplan stops making any sense. Especially with so much pressure getting through the OLine there was no way we were gonna win a pure gunslinging match here. Flacco wasn't "bad", great game by Njoku and JOK.. and that's about it.

    • @thomaspruchinski385

    Flacco throws picks when he has to gamble. Stefanski couldn’t get the receivers open all night. The tight ends played good because they were either quick slants or check downs. Stefanski didn’t trust his tackles so he pulled the tight end in to protect a lot this game and took away a receiver to push down the field taking a target away from Flacco. You have to be able to scheme your protection and make adjustments without compromising your offense. Only having 3 receivers isn’t going to win you games. The entire coaching staff and players fell on their face. Even if Flacco doesn’t throw those 2 picks and they score touchdowns the score is still 31-28. Stefanski had a stale gameplan. Outside of Lamar the Browns didn’t really see any good top 10 QB’s until today.

No running game, Flacco under constant pressure all they could do was cross their fingers and throw in the second half. Cant blame Flacco for trying to do it on his own. Flacco was a turnover machine but because he was throwing 50+ times a game people were impressed with the 300+ yard games. They became way too one dimensional with the inability to run the ball, really ever since the Chubb injury. The final piece is no team can survive that amount of injuries. The wheels were bound to fall off. I am shocked they got blown out tho, didn’t think they would get nuked by 31 points.

      Yes I agree. Well put and a good assessment of the team leading up to this debacle.. I never thought this was even a remote chance that they would get crushed like this.. but I did fear of them trying to keep up and getting behind mainly because of the rust vs rest question regarding last week's game. Looks like that definitely proved to be the case ..rust won out... Ugh. Us poor Browns fans and what we have endured. Another year gone again. 😞

      I've been a Texans fan since day 1. I was a Browns fan since 94 but found the Watson ordeal repugnant as a Texans fan and could not continue to support a team that mortgages their future away for Watson and treat a guy like Mayfield the way they did. So, I walked away from the Browns the day they traded for Watson. The Texans are doing everything right for the first time since their inception and its well deserved for Texans fans to circle the wagons right now.

Thought they would keep within 10 or less points and still be in it in the 4th qtr ...wtf the whole team thought each other would pick up the slack and played like it didn't count... They thought they were still to be resting... Newsome played pathetically... Flacco's picks were a desperate effort to get something going because the defense couldn't stop them. Only great player on defense was JOK... I'm still down thinking what a horror of a game and embarrassment we had to endure...wish I could think we'll get here next year again but the experts are saying we have one of the toughest schedules...this year ours was one of the leagues easiest. It was insane to me to see you guys all claim on UCSS that Myles still deserves the DPOY award after totally disappearing for the last THIRD of the season. His play didn't "drop off" from where he was playing for the first 2/3s of the season...HE FELL OFF A CLIFF AND DISAPPEARED INTO THE ABYSS! And yet you guys just kept making the excuse that he was "still impacting the game even without getting the 'flashy' sack numbers". No he wasn't. PERIOD! He disappeared completely and it was obvious. The only question is whether that drop-off happened because he has a legitimate, serious injury that he was playing through, or is this just more of the same from him?
    This isn't something new. This has literally been the trend over his entire career. Absolutely dominant for the first half or so of a season, then a huge drop-off for the second half or so. The difference this season was that he was playing at an Aaron Donald/HOF level prior to his yearly disappearance five or six weeks ago. The way he played earlier in this season was ALL-TIME GREAT! Dude was literally blocking field goals as a DE, and he was single-handedly wrecking games...which is exactly what all of us fans said we've been hoping to see from him for the first few years of his NFL career. We all said that we felt like he had "another level" that he could attain. And it turns out, we were right. He reached that level for the first half of this season. Then he played some of the worst football OF HIS ENTIRE CAREER for the second half (or so). Yet again, he was a total non-factor in this game.
    The only silver lining for me is that I had a legitimately bad feeling going into this game, so the loss wasn't all that surprising or devastating to me. I never believed that a team that can't run the ball AT ALL and is playing their 4th and 5th Tackles and a 4th string QB was going to go to and/or win the Super Bowl this year. Flacco saved the (regular) season for this team...without a doubt...but IMO this team was getting high on their own hype over the last few weeks. All of the media coverage nationwide has been about how "incredible" Flacco and the Browns as a team were.
    As a lifelong Browns, that kind of national praise coupled with the way you guys talked about this game on UCSS and the way fans were reacting to Flacco and how the team was playing all instantly sent up red flags for me. While I love G Bush, that BS he said about the Texans earlier this week was just stupid. And while I don't believe the rest of the fanbase had that same level of cockiness, it was close to that level.
    Finally, as much as I generally can't stand listening to him, McNuggets was 100% correct when he said he was worried about resting our starters for the last week of the season and throwing off their momentum. HOWEVER...I also believe that Stefanski did the right thing and really had no other choice. This team desperately needed a week off to heal up (which is exactly why that snake Goodell gave us a week 4 or 5 bye in the first place), and with literally nothing to play for in the final game, it would've been insane for Stefanski to start all of these crucial players in an entirely meaningless game and risk one (or more) of them getting a season-ending injury. He would've been crucified if that happened.
    But it's pretty obvious that the week off was a disaster for this team and NOT a benefit. Every single player not named Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah looked like they were out there playing in slow motion. JOK was literally the ONLY guy who showed up and played with elite intensity. He was unstoppable. And if the rest of the defense played at even an average level, his unstoppable play maybe could've changed the course of the game. But the rest of this defense didn't play at an "average" level. They played like an AFL team, and one Linebacker wasn't going to be able to overcome all of that by himself.
    But hey...at least we aren't going to have to hear one single word about a "QB controversy" between Watson and Flacco ever again!!! And maybe this game opened the door to Flacco staying here in Cleveland as our 2nd string QB next year! I certainly hope so, because he can absolutely win this team games if Watson...God forbid...misses A FEW next season.

There are a couple options with what to do with Watson. See if another team is dumb enough to take on his contract, or just make him the most expensive back up QB ever. I highly doubt it, but maybe Watson will restructure his contract to free up some funds so Stefanski can build around Flacco more. Can you imagine spreading $130 Million around Flacco, Njoku, Moore, Chubb, and Ford with some other major talent? The Browns offense would be unstoppable.
