CLEVELAND BROWNS THERAPY SESSION: How were we so off on our predictions vs. the Texans?

- The entire UCSS panel picked the Cleveland Browns to beat the Houston Texans.
Jason & G picked the Browns to reach the Super Bowl.
The dream ended in catastrophic fashion Saturday when CJ Stroud and the Texans boat raced the Browns out of NRG Stadium, 45-14.
Everything that could have went wrong for Joe Flacco and the Browns, did go wrong.
So how was everyone so wrong? Let's dive into it.
From ESPN's recap:
"As the games get bigger, C.J. Stroud just keeps getting better.
The rookie became the youngest quarterback to win a playoff game after throwing for 274 yards and three touchdowns, and the Houston Texans returned two interceptions by Joe Flacco for scores in a 45-14 rout of the Cleveland Browns in a wild-card matchup Saturday.
“C.J. is the reason why we’re in this position,” coach DeMeco Ryans said. “He’s special, a special young man. Special player. Continues to shine no matter how big the moment is.
"Our whole team is leaning on him and he has the shoulders to carry that weight.”
Stroud, the second overall pick in the draft last April, is also the highest-drafted rookie QB to win in the postseason. He picked apart Cleveland’s vaunted defense, throwing touchdown passes of 15 yards to Nico Collins, 76 to Brevin Jordan and 37 to Dalton Schultz.
“It’s been a heck of a year and I thank God, I can just go another week with my teammates,” Stroud said. “This is like a dream come true.”
At 22 years and 102 days old, Stroud passed Michael Vick, who was 22 years, 192 days old in 2002 when his Falcons beat the Packers.
“I’m super blessed to be considered with a great name like Michael Vick, who was my favorite quarterback growing up,” he said. “And hopefully I can make it two (wins).”
Stroud threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns before halftime as the Texans built a 24-14 lead. The defense took over after that, with Steven Nelson and Christian Harris returning interceptions for touchdowns on consecutive drives in the third quarter to extend the lead to 38-14."

The Texans played with their hair on fire. Confident and ready to kick ass. The Browns looked like they were sleep walking outside of JOK and Hunt.
so what now? keep players who dont give a fck?
as a Texans fan I want Jok and number 6 for sure.
@@davidpitts2766 did you watch the game and just not pay attention ??? JOK is number 6 SMH
Spot on dude! Especially the Miles Garrett comments. He disappears in the big games. Contrast him to TJ Watt. Miles does not deserve mvp.
@RyanKilgore2 I realized what J.O.K stood for after I sent it... Either way I want him and the Tightend
31 out of 32 teams feel this way at the end of the year
But the blowout part was painful.
Thank you for being the only sane person in Cleveland world right now
I totally agree you just can’t lose that way the Browns looked like total frauds
No 31 out of 32 teams don’t feel this way. Many know out the gate what kid of team they have. When is it going to be the Browns time? Suffering since 99.
Well 30 out of 32 have at least won a few playoff games since 99.
@@TK19. yeah honestly good point lmao
JOK is a beast. That dude came to play
Out coached at every step!! Not only did their staff perfectly destabilize and take away our weapons, they continued and made even better adjustments at halftime and they crushed us.
I’m ok with taking a loss. I’m not ok with looking totally unprepared and not being competitive from the first snap.
Next year won’t be any easier. Pittsburgh, Bengals, Jets and the whole AFC will be better.
10 yards per play for the texans, i dont give a fuck who gets fired OFF WITH THEIR HEADS
Exactly and we wont be better. Look how many contracts need satisfied that we cant afford for next year
@@ReginaldFormanI agree that Conklin contract is going to kill us.we might have to eat that one.also I'm all in at going after Derrick Henry
We were fine until the double pick 6s.
@@ReginaldFormanYou are clueless. The core of the team is signed for multiple years.
JOK was only one on defense that came ready to play. Hope the browns can learn from this for next year. Lets get healthy for next year and see where this team can really go with DW4
DW4! Sounds like penetrating oil. LOL. Anywho, the Browns will not go anywhere with Watson. It doesn't take a football genius to know that Watson, or even Robinson for that matter, does not fit Stefanski's offensive system. Flacco is the perfect QB for Stefanski's offensive system. The numbers don't lie. I hope Flacco returns for a full season, and has OTA's and camp with the guys, and Stefanski. He'll be even better.
Considering how many games the Texans have lost in the years,in every horrible loss there is usually one player who plays well.
We don't have to worry about losing Schwartz to a head coaching job.
Now im worried about having schwartz
Schwartz should leave. He's fucking overrated just like our defense. Thanks Andrew Berry
@@dc7150it’s not Schwartz. Or Stefanski . It was the players not executing , that’s it , plain and simple . No pressure , as coverage breakdowns , how can you even say the coach ??? .
Coach calls the play , players make on field adjustments and physically play the game , it ain’t the coach taking the bait and moving forward to just get blown by a bomb pass for a TD … that’s the safety making a bad decision .
Have you even played football ?
@@hadesunderworld4203 I've played football but that's besides the point. So you telling me coaches don't matter. In game adjustments and getting the right personal out there don't matter. We should have kept Joe woods then if that's the case.
@@dc7150 are you completely disregarding the fact that this was the best browns defense since the late 90s? No….some fake ass browns fans will continue to discount what we did at the end of the day. Do you have no hope for the future, or is your expectations so bleak, that you just speak purely out of your ass.
The safety’s are who got carved up. Houston knew we had JANITORS in the safety slots all game. It wasn’t so much on the cornerbacks as much as it was on the safety’s. Our SAFETYS SUCKED ASS. Not having Delpit and McCloud was a HUGE factor in this game. Hickman looked like an undrafted Safety. You guys are shocked that we lost in the playoffs with that many injuries. WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFFS! You need your studs to WIN IN THE PLAYOFFS
I'm not gonna watch any ucss till next year if then. Their takes are so bad and always prime the fan base to turn on someone. It's gonna be non-stop shouldnt have rested the starters in week 18 and no one is going to blame two pick sixes
Garrett was out there and looked like janitor material tbh
The Browns D was dreadful on Away games. The Browns got to play joke QB’s of other teams.
Our studs took the day off.
Newsome …OVERRATED he gave up a lot for yal as well and Ward playin injured did yal no favors
Tunsil had historically locked Garrett up and Fant didn’t start at RT last time they played this was really a different Texans team go look
Facts but browns fans and we didn't have Stroud
I feel like a lot of stats were cherry picked. Lowest yards/game passing on defense. But last in the league in points/game on the road and last in red zone defense. On offense, 300 yards for Joe Flacco every game, but lead the league in turnovers.
For some reason everyone forgot that Flaco will absolutely kill you with turnovers. And always at the worst possible time. Granted there’s never a good time for consecutive pick 6 interceptions haha. Jesus
Exactly people left that out every time they praised him
They just wasn't the same on the road. Need something else to motivate them.
Look. Let's be real here. Joe fit some "social and cultural " dynamics that majority of browns fans identify with. It's the same with them thinking colt Mccoy could play. It's the same reason why Matt delevadova is more loved than lebron. So biases is why they over looked a guy who had 8 int in 5 games (probably should have been 11 if Chicago safeties could catch). He also was comp. 58% comp of his passes. He's only hit 60% once. They overlooked it because he was "one of them". Not realizing he wasn't efficient (Watson analytically was better even though Watson sucked). And he was playing the weakest part of our schedule against teams with a combined losing record. And they still want to keep this dude. I saw this coming a mile away.
@@anthonygraham8122 stop playing the race card. Fact of the matter is, he had a passer rating higher than the $250 million sexual assault QB who has barely seen the field. THE most popular player on the Browns right now is Nick Chubb. I don’t know a fan who wouldn’t say otherwise and the dude is black. 10 years ago, it was Joe Thomas. He is white. What did they have in common? They were great players who did their jobs and THATs what Cleveland sports fans care about.
You people are so funny you guys beat us two weeks ago with some back ups, and now you see what we look like with the starters
do you realize how many back ups the Browns were using ?
This one hurt BIG TIME .
IF You see who we play in 2024,
this team needs some real work and added pices to go beyond the wildcard. Flacco was magical BUT We played defences who were bottom 5 or hurt . We are not in the level of Ravens , Chiefs ect....
Lmao - you are correct ..the team with 26% of its cap on IR and missing key players not on IR is not on the level of healthy chiefs and ravens lol. But if the Browns were healthy? They are the 1 seed and legit one of the best teams in the nfl. They went 11-6 with backups ALL YEAR!
You would not be the 1 seed healthy or not. The ravens are won out and still would have been the one seed. Ravens could say the same. We where extremely unhealthy the first 10 weeks. Probably would be undefeated if we were healthy. So no you would not be the 1 seed
@@JG-ul3oyRavens were never as unhealthy as the browns at sny point in the season so we could say anything the ravens can and more
@@Zayzter not by the end of the year but most certainly first half of the season. Our players just came back. It’s not the oppression Olympics but yea if we were completely healthy during the 3 games we lost sure we would have won those too. So again, no you was never getting the 1 seed or the division Baltimore was better healthy or not.
I've been a Browns for many years..red right 88 the drive the fumble..I feel your pain from this loss right after soo much anticipation it wasn't even close I really appreciate how you expressed your feelings and disappointment your from your heart ❤
The cool thing is that the Browns still have to ship their #1 pick this spring to the team that handed them this whipping…. Worst trade in NFL history?
Yes 🤝😭
What went wrong is none of y’all have been watching the Texans all season. You might have seen some games or caught some highlights…but y’all have not watched them, they heart, their loyalty to each other.
You can see heart and team spirit “on paper”.
Myles Garrett was dominated by Laremy Tunsil and to be quite honest the Texans were just more physical than the Browns.
The Browns gave the middle finger to their fans! They are in the Bahamas spending their big bonus while we are all stressed out!
Good show, smart commentary without the over the top stuff. If I was a Browns fan I'd be hooked into your show. Wish the fans a healthier year next season...you guys are built to win now. JOK is the best LB I've seen this season. He was amazing outside of his one bad play where Singletary had his TD. He is a menace.
No pressure, too passive, Newsome was terrible !!😖
hes gotta go
Newsome just was asked in his press conference how he thought he played. He just said I don’t think I played bad at all. Bro these guys were terrible and they just don’t care. They think everything is fine
@@codymikonsky4772 low IQ
It’s causes from rested the starters from last game to cold ability defense and offense, lack of game plan, and two mistake of turnovers scored.😢
Took two weeks off , then weren't ready !! Lazy play ! Defense was just lazy play !!! Coaches didn't change anything !! Sad day for sure !! We're wrong for not playing starters against Bengals!! We're lazy !! Got beat !! Love you Brownies!!
Andrew Berry needs to look into moving Myles Garrett. Replenish some draft picks and let him go. He doesn't show up in big games
Deal soft Ward too! We could get 45 million off the books and get two number ones in 2024 draft. I’d kick the tires on Belicheck if I were Haslam too! Stefanski is ok but not going to take us to Super Bowl.
It’s okay Mike welcome to Cleveland now you see what we go through on a yearly basis 🙃
Guys here in Houston we thought it looked like the Browns quit when they decided to run the clock out at the end of the first half, at least the coaching staff quit.
In my view, great teams never take their foot off the gas. Starters play every game. It felt like our Browns thought it was going to be a sure thing of going to the next round of the playoffs.
Browns need a NEW STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH. Way to many injuries. Way way to many
Defense didn't show up
Where tf was Myles Garret? Dude is a beast but he's not a Watt, Reggie White, type pass rusher. No way he is not mentioned in THE ENTIRE GAME. Maybe it wouldn't have mattered, Stroud was cookin but...that was a disgrace
The last QB to win a playoff game for the Browns REMAINS Baker Mayfield 👨🍳
When we came out at halftime, the first thing I thought was this another Rams game because how badly the defense played.
Why was no one talking about the browns defensive numbers at home vs away this year?
At home this year they gave up 3, 3, 28, 17, 0, 10, 27, 17, and 20 in 9 games = 13.9 points allowed per game at home
On the road they gave up 26, 38, 24, 31, 29, 36, 22, and 31 in 8 games = 29.6 points allowed per game (31.3 if you factor in the 45 points from the texans).
Why would a defense be so good at home and so bad on the road? I could see the offense having big differences in numbers but the defense? I don't get it.
Because that gets in the way of the "Good Story" and selling those koolaid hoodies.
Lol facts I said the same thing it’s almost like they only watched the browns at home 🙃
They are the worst D on the road but y’all wouldn’t listen
I'm a Houston Texans fan and we was still missing Tank Dell that play like Tyreek Hill. Wait till we get him back next season. Give the Texans respect people.
Tank is a way better route runner
As a Houston fan, I can relate with everything you said today. I've been there.
I believe Houston fans not only were shocked at the Browns play but almost as shocked at how well the Texans performed in that game. I thought Flacco was going to carve up the Texans defense. He DID have some good throws but fell apart for one quarter and the Browns got too far behind. The following week the Ravens had a very much better defense than the Browns.
Gave the Texans a king's ransom for Watson, and two years later the Texans have the better QB - a top 5 QB at that - and a young, ascending roster.
Browns rebuilt the Texans.
And we’re very thankful.. See you at the draft!.. Day 2, of course.. bawahahaha!..
**AMBLE ALERT** 53 Grown men missing---- Last seen in Houston Texas wearing Orange pants and Orange Helmets!!🤣🤣
Because Cj and Texans wanted it more that’s it that’s all browns didn’t seem like the browns we’ve been watching they gave up on so many plays almost like they didn’t want to even play the second half
lazy players
the MAIN THING is that when you played the Texans the first time they were without their starting QB. Further , the only starting reciever was Nico and he had back up QB's trying to complete passes. Another thing was that several of their starting defensive players were missing. That led to misgivings about the rematch...
You didn’t watch the game. Browns lost it. Texans didn’t win it.
Defense played the worst I’ve seen them play. Stroud didn’t do almost anything. His yards were inflated but don’t be fooled. It was yards after catch. He had multiple 1-play, 4-play TDs not because he was great, but because they were so wide open, and one was a DUMPOFF for 2 YARDS that became a TD. Browns defense lost the game.
Then the 2nd half the offense started sputtering. In Texans territory, QB & receiver miscommunication led to a pick six, and nobody tried to tackle except and offensive lineman.
Then a stupid 4th down call, led to another stupid pass.
Browns single handedly lost the game
Wasn’t stroud whatsoever
1. Was Browns Defense literally NO-SHOWING
2. Was Texans Coach Prepping well
Stroud did decent but he really didn’t have to do much at all to win.
Credit to the Texans for taking advantage, but it wasn’t because of Stroud. 😂
@@FandomEditsTrooper Stroud would’ve had higher passing yards if turnover machine Flacco didn’t throw two pick 6s.
The Browns were an overrated team that got exposed by the Texans.
That's why they say opinions are like ass*****, everyone has one.
You say Cleveland lost the game but Houston didn't win it - very strange for a quarterback who received 157 point almost perfect QB rating based on NFL standards.
You got your asses kicked six ways to Sunday. In every imaginable measurement
@@gregorypatrick7097 stroud had a perfect rating. Another example of YOU DIDNT WATCH THE GAME BUDDY. He DIDNT HAVE TO DO ALMOST ANYTHING. 😂
YES WE LOST BUT IT WASNT STROUD
He literally had a perfect DUMPOFF RATING where nobody would even try to tackle. He didn’t do anything more than Davis Mills did in this game. This was a bad showing by the browns, not the “stellar Texans” lol
I'm not getting caught up in all the hoopla next season. Not looking at no training camp, draft, preseason. Not getting worked up anymore. Been doing it since 1978. Think I done ran my course. Had enough fam.
This is why I wanted to play the Jaguars!
Completely feel the same way on this loss. I can accept losing but I can’t accept the complacency, effort, and lack of preparation like we saw Saturday. That’s what makes this loss shitty.
Yes, the Browns D was overvalued all season because they put up so many of their gaudy #'s vs moribund offenses, but it got continually glossed over. Yesterday they played the first good offense and QB they've played since the Rams. And the Flacco thing was always a house of cards, there was so much fan base delusion around all of it.
There really was , glad I wasn’t part of it
This team is missing pieces .
To many Browns fans bought in on how they beat the Texans the first go around.
I can understand that to a certain extent because y'all didnt understand just how good CJ Stroud is.
Hell,I still cant believe how good he is after watching him all season.
He's a generational player that we havent ever seen in the NFL.
Yeah, but you see the way he moves around the pocket and get off throws with ease?.. He’s next level, and getting better..
I gotta disagree with the “nothing in the regular season matters” this isn’t the nba. While the playoffs are different the strides you see from your NFL team during the regular season are huge. The browns have been in playoff games since Joe got there more or less. The game truly was not as lopsided as the score looked. Keep yall heads up. Learn and grow. Go browns
That was a beatdown, whatcha talkin?..
I’m usually very realistic with expectations for this team… even in 2020 I knew we weren’t a super bowl team so I was able to enjoy the playoffs for just being there.
This year felt different. We felt like we had everything we needed. We were rolling at the right time. I allowed myself to believe this team could at the least make it to the afc championship game, and maybe even the super bowl this year…. It literally felt like that kind of year. I should have known better 😢
I knew Texans would win but I didn’t think they would win this decisively. Stroud is a game changer and expecting the same Texans when Keenum QB is asinine. It’s just hilarious that Browns fan were already looking at Baltimore before playing wild card round.😂
❤💙🤍! They counted Texans out. Thought it would be easy work.
for real!! They were thinking of Baltimore instead of paying attention to the game in front of them
What was wrong with your offensive line, no defense, no running game. Flacco was screwed from the get go.
A loss is like your opponent winning by a point in a karate tournament.
This was a late night beatdown and carjacking
Browns D on the road has often gotten sliced up. Not the first time sadly. Offense seemed OK before the pick 6’s but scared/timid
Welcome to Cleveland Browns football guys
Not to mention....a young man from our beloved Buckeyes, orchestrated the dagger!!!
At least we have always have the draft to look forward to!
Who we going to get with our first rounder guys?
I forgot about Hunt he played about as well as he could, our tight ends had moments too but not enough obviously.I don’t think sitting players had anything to with this game Flaco looked ok in the beginning of game .Playoff experience doesn’t mean much if you don’t put pressure on Stroud the QB ,and your team is a lot better.
Last time I checked when the browns played the Texans I think 3 weeks ago they didn't have CJ Stroud they didn't have Will Anderson and Jonathan greenard we didn't have a pass rusher
And Cashman
"browns playing with house money"
"what a magincal season - how did we get this far"
"all these injuries and we are in the playoffs"
Browns lose
"browns suck"
"we are aweful"
"fire everyone"
Stroud consistently got rid of the ball fast, and the Cleveland Pass rush was fine overall, Stroud was just faster. Also, the screens and short passes turned over pursuit against the Defense It must feel terrible to trade for DW, right now. No Way KS should be COTY, that should go to Demeco. Cheers Ya'll
It’s crazy to overlook a PLAYOFF team.
Fool's gold in Joe he played in the easy part of schedule been saying that, DW4 is theQB1 start building around him he show who he is in the Ravens game get him a LT like he had in Texans.
Fool's gold the defense!
We paid a pervert $230 million dollars
This game looked very similar to the Rams & Broncos game.
Ravens fan here, we're gonna crush the Texans next week for ya
I hate the Ravens but gotta give em cred where its due, looks like the Ravens win out they have been good all yr wire 2 wire it'll be a major choke job if they don't win the SB
I'm a Texans fan but I'm aware that next week we could get killed.. That's just football.
THANK -YOU Only honest comment on here!
Many projected the Browns to score in the mid-twenties for the game, and they were on target at the half with 14. Many projected the Texans to score in the low 20s for the game, and they were 24 at the half! Browns were in serious trouble, so Flacco was pressing, and it bit him. Loss is on the defense.
Bro. No one remembers Stefanski and the Vikings against the 49ers? Stefanski was shut down in the playoffs.
I feel bad for you young brothers. I've been there and done that. I haven't lost any sleep over the Browns in more than thirty years. Count yourselves lucky you didn't have to watch them lose THREE AFC Championship Games in four years!
Can we talk about the proverbial "Browns is the Browns" banana peel for a minute?
We thought we had moved past that slogan, thought this team was different, thought the Browns turned the corner as a franchise. But this game single handedly brought us a step back & showed us that no matter if the Browns have a #1 defense, a QB who is lighting it up, a situation where people believe in this team for real...that banana peel is STILL right there to make us look like clowns.
To play that bad & lose like that, after the season we had & everything this team has been through (this season has felt like a 3 year saga haha) just doesn't happen to other teams. A lot of teams would lose that game, but to get completely humiliated in the traditional & traumatic "Browns is the Browns" fashion is just the worst feeling right now.
It was so bad that none of the regular season matters or should be remembered. It's not going to matter if this team goes 17-0 with record setting #1 offense & defense next year; that proverbial banana peel is going to be right there to slip on until they prove that it's not. Unlike any other freaking team in the league.
"The Browns is the Browns" may not mean quite the same thing in years past, but don't think for a second it's not still there. 45-14 vs the Texans after the season this team had is the evidence. Yall go through ALL that, just to lay down when you have an actual opportunity. Ugh. I don't feel bad for any of em right now. But the fans, I sympathize with. We STILL can't trust this team for sh*t.
It is a shame to think that all the records this defense set this year will likely not be talked about in the future. They might be referenced in local Browns discussions. But in the national spotlight, they’ll most likely be forgotten.
@markh8744 at this point they don't deserve to be talked about. It amounted to nothing when it mattered. #1 scary defense in the NFL giving up 24 points in like 15 plays? That has to be one of the worst starts to a playoff game ever by a unit that was widely regarded as elite...man...maybe I'm being a little harsh, but feeling humiliated in that fashion as a fan at the sports bar leaves no sympathy from me. I don't know how much better you can ask any defense to play next year in the regular season, but one thing we do know is that the Browns can fall apart like no one else can.
I think it's strange to think that I was more optimistic about the next season after the 2020 playoff loss in Kansas City. This year we had a defense that got pretty close to hitting its ceiling throughout the year & they still managed to look like a bunch of late round rookies when the ultimate goal was actually within reach. I really don't know how to look forward to next years regular season because it feels like no matter how good they play it won't matter til we see them in the playoffs
Ya'll couldnt do nothin. Mid way thru the 4th qrt, CJ was sittin on the sideline with his flip-flops on 😂🤣
And this loss hurt it sucked big time but it really Hurts. This loss wasn't even equivalent to the loss we had in Kansas City back in 2021 at least we were in the division round and we had a chance to win it in advance to the AFC Championship but this game they Had No Chance At All. And I'm Very Disappointed at Myles Garrett.
Playoff experience is OVERRATED just like our defense
If your front don't get pressure then your secondary gets worked
Once again, Myles disappeared. I don't recall hearing his name called once. JOK only one on defense who brought it. And what I predicted would happen came to pass....Joe Flacco would try to play hero ball and make terrible decisions and throw costly picks. In the end we were also thoroughly out-coached. In our defense, the injuries caught up with us, too.
Respect to the Texans from top to bottom.
Exactly why TJ Watt is top dawg in the league he doesn’t go ghost in big games
I agree I thought Flacco would eventually kill the Browns with picks in a playoff game. The Browns fell in love with his passing ability because of how underwhelming I think Watson, Dorrian Smith, were when really the Browns strength and way to beat teams for last few years has been their running game. But with all that being said, the Browns D was the number one reason for their loss. They went from being the most intimidating D in football earlier in the year, to I think a D with holes going into 2024-2025 .
Well, we might be in the era the Bengals were in from like 2005-2015. We'll see what the future brings, but if DeShawn isn't our Joe Burrow, then we can have good teams and seasons, just no success in the playoffs, lol. I trust the organization will make the best choices they can. Maybe we can play a closer game in next year's Wildcard game
That's pretty funny, my Brothers and I are Bengals fans, and one of my Bros said the Browns are like 10 years behind the Bengals, they're in that phase where you lose in the first round every year if you make the playoffs lol...but I respect my Browns friends fans, I know this was a painful one, it reminds me of the Bengals from basically 1993-2021. But I will say also I think the Browns D looks a little more vulnerable going into 2024-2025, Bengals might finally be able to solve their Defense.
The prior week, the Browns had a game they could take for granted and accordingly didn't dress any of their key players in order to 'rest' them, while the Texans were involved in a close, physical game just to make the Playoffs. According to the pundits, the Browns were the team primed to win 45-14 (the Texans are too worn out and beat up to compete). When you take the last game of the season for granted- and you play accordingly- you are rolling the dice as to whether you can get that momentum back in the Playoffs, where you don't have the luxury of having a bad day
Misguided expectations caused the loss to seem so painful. Outside observers were telling you this for a couple of reasons.
First, the Browns do not have the #1 defense in the league. When you cherry pick certain stats to make your case, you miss the big picture. The only stat that really matters is the points allowed per game. That's why the Ravens are clearly the best defense in the league.
Next, fans/Browns media were way off base on expectations for Joe Flacco. Even while he was putting up numbers in helping the Browns make the playoffs, underneath were obvious negatives that make a difference in the playoffs against better teams. Flacco is a turnover machine and his lack of mobility makes him a sitting target for opposing defenses. It all showed up in the space of a few minutes against the Texans. Flacco was sitting on his couch before the Browns called for a reason. You saw it yesterday.
Finally, coaching/game planning was definitely less than the Texans showed. Everyone should put to rest all the talk about Stefanski should be coach of the year. The better candidate was on the opposite side of the field.
Add it all up and the score of the game yesterday makes perfect sense----partly because the negatives above showed up in even worse form than expected. But they were all there for everyone to observe and the Browns were not the team that people convinced themselves was going to show up.
Enough with coming off the couch talk , not defending Flacco , but that dude probably runs circles around you . Acting like he wasn’t working out everyday …. 😂😂😂😂
@@hadesunderworld4203 If you consider throwing to your father and brother by Flacco working out then more power to you. Most wouldn't. Flacco's record (especially the alarming number of interceptions even before this game) speaks for itself. You convinced yourself that you were seeing the Flacco that won a Super Bowl. The real world saw something different. Sorry.

Different year, same old sht
It’s been next year since Brian Sipe threw the interception
It would have been different if they would have actually lost a good game. But they even brought in their 2nd string 😂😂
For this game, the offensive line was a siv. The Browns offensive line run and pass blocking was just a swing and a miss starting in the 2nd quarter and stayed that way the rest of the game. It is no surprise that we have had to play 4 quarterbacks, 2 of them out for the season, and no running game this year due to poor offensive line play. The Browns offensive needs to add new guard and tackle veteran talent to the roster next year or Watson will be so beat up half way through the season that we will lose him again to injury. The defensive line didn't play much better than the offensive line. The defensive backfield had its worst game this year as well. This off-season, the Browns need to fix these 2 groups to have a shot at winning the NFC and make a run at the Superbowl next year.
Would have like to have Greg Williams yelling at the defense on the sidelines!!!!😂🤔
You fails to realize that in the first game against us we were missing 5 offensive starters including out WB and left tackle, our starting punter, and 3 starters on defense. We also had two more starters on defense leave the game after the first few plays of the game. Our team is simply a better team with those players.
Houston treated it like a playoff game while it seemed that the Browns approached it like a regular game. You're in the playoffs! You're not playing the Jets in the middle of October. You're in the playoffs! You have to step up your game!
We were all fooled
PFF king Myles Garrett going ghost in a big game what’s new?
The man coverage stat on CJ Stroud kind of convoluted. His man coverage qbr was down because Dell missed a lot of games and also Nico Collins and Schultz missed a couple of whole games and parts of others because of injuries.
Browns got off to a decent start but pick six or not that brown def backend was not going to hold for very long anyways having no run game threat was going to catchup to them to
Yall just totally underestimated Stroud. We are a different team when he plays, he is an MVP level player who elevates all 3 phases with his play and leadership abilities. As a lifelong Texans fan, we have never had anyone like this at QB and its hinestly unsettling 😂😂
Stephen A basically said Flacco was the better story. Before the game that is . That's crazy.
Lifelong Texans fan....are you 15yo?? 😐
And still you havent mentioned flacco
Dang guys have y’all found Myles garret ? Did hear nothing about him at all last night.
Defense didn’t play well. But it’s the playoffs and CJ a beast.
What you over hyped was Joe Flacco because he was passing for 300 yards. But you forgot he avg 2 ints a game. Back to back pick 6 is dirty work
Tbh, good job getting in the plsyoffs. But, some good points was made here too. No offense to Joe Flacvo was a better story than QB at this point. Wstson is a duel threat and can extend plays. The defense didnt play up to par either. Its really thst simple.
I still think Newsome is not great. Thet schedule and defensive line is what made the secondary seem elite.
Joe Thomas never played in a playoff game in his whole career😂😂
I feel like "what went wrong" is the wrong point of view. We played our asses off all year. Our team was decimated. I'm pissed off that we lost but I'm also extremely excited knowing our guys will get healthy.
Going to be a long off-season BUT I'm so fucking excited.
Even when they played the 49ers, their two best offensive players were out. McCaffery played 1 qtr and Aiyuk(?) was knocked out on ybe 1st series.
Deebo I think was knocked out
Cleveland will be back STRONG next year.
Then we got a 1st round draft pick in 2024 thanks Cleveland y’all are good!😁
It only hurts because the picks sealed it up so we didn't have a chance to compete
Xavier worthy or ad Mitchell in 2nd round need wr next year they have great value for 2nd Rd.
