    I think it makes sense to always start on the same side, but vary the lengths that you apply. That way, you only have to trim to fit on one side.

    The adhesive, what kind of damage does it do when removed? Why do you start in the center?

    • @elizabethpenton2306
      @elizabethpenton2306 Před 4 lety +1

      Starting in the center and working out is an easy way to make sure it looks good. Walls/ floors are often not perfectly straight and perpendicular, so it helps mask that because the eye will focus on the center if it looks alright.
      Any damage to drywall is relatively cheap and easy to fix if any damage happens, but I highly doubt any would happen

    • @RootsWingsHome
      @RootsWingsHome  Před 4 lety

      I'm going to bet this would damage the dry wall paper when removed. I think it would need to be skim coated again after this was removed. Elizabeth is right - starting in the center allows you to work out, and the irregular or skinny cuts would be at the baseboard and not easily noticed.

    • @dgathome4345
      @dgathome4345 Před 4 lety

      I would prime the walls with a good paint if you think you want to take this off one day. If the adhesive is any good, it will damage the drywall upon removal.

      You sure can! I bought one of those storage cabinets from walmart on sale and its white. It sticks out like a sore thumb in my kitchen LOL! I put it together and happen to see some peel and stick flooring at the Dollar General and it worked out beautiful! I had some glue left from putting down dark hardwood linoleum and used that for extra security LOL! Since this was a food storage cabinet which gets a lot of use i didn't want anything coming apart. Now i did use a sanding bar just to ruff up the surface of the cabinet a little. It's been 4mths it's still looks great! It looks like an expensive hardwood cabinet. My mom thought I bought it from a furniture store lol!
