You know, after Costa Rica lost to spain I felt so humiliated I didn’t want to watch th World Cup anymore, but nearly every game was so entertaining that I kept coming back for more, and then we won against Japan and I felt even happier, and then we fought valiantly against Germany even though we certainly were one of the worst teams in the whole cup. This World Cup is already my second favorite (2014 will never be dethroned for obvious reasons.)
I feel the same way. At least we gave it our all in the end!
I'm Moroccan and we weren't qualified for wc 2014 but watching and cheering for that 2014 Costa Rica team was the highlight of that wc for me
2014 Costa Rica was amazing. How they emerged from a group that contained Uruguay, England and Italy, beat Greece in round of 16 and nearly went to semi final against Holland is beyond me.

No, in both matches Australia won, they fought really hard despite the fact that technically, Australia was the worst team in the World Cup in terms of skill. The only luck I can think the Socceroos had was when Denmark almost got a penalty but the linesman had already waved his flag for offside. So ok, THAT you can say luck but it's still not the major reason why Australia won the match.
As some said here, this was the group stage of surprises. Who thought Uruguay, Belgium, Denmark, and Germany would be eliminated early.
Plus, Australia, Marroco, USA, South Korea, Senegal as well as Japan were the revelation in this phase which still that fact amazes me.
Also, Richarlison and Salem's goals are still the top-notch of this WC.
I can't wait to see the knockouts. This's gonna be a blast.

As a German, I want to be angry with Spain, but since we could not win against Japan either, it is probably fair. Plus our defense was pretty horrible. The lack of class defenders is nothing new. Kind of crazy when I think of my youth when we had awesome defenders and strikers, but the middle was kind of wonky and now it is the complete opposite.

I'm not just a Latina, I'm Chicana, so even before Brazil, I have Mexico (and yes I do go blind and deaf whenever US and Mexican fans try to kill each other), so that 2018 business was incredible. And 2010 was the first World Cup I really remember (apart from the 2006 final) and I've had a deep and abiding hatred of Uruguay, Luiz Suarez in particular ever since. So in my eyes, South Korea's really doing God's work out there

Sometimes it helps to see historic results, even though the teams are diferent than past teams. England has never beat the US in any world cup. Brazil had never beat Switzerlans in wc (this one was a first).

Hey bro love your videos but just wanted to point out a quick error at 13:00 you're talking about Brazil's group but have Portugals on the screen
Hey Maqwell, i have an idea. I propose an International Invitational Cup. It would run a few weeks before the WC and would include teams not in the WC. A Europa League sort of. 24 teams using fifa rankings/specific number of slots for the conferences/and WC playoff games (as in losers qualify for the IIC). If the IIC would be held this year the slots would follow as, Intercontinental Losers (2), 2 slots for CONCACAF, 3 for AFC, 5 for CAF, 8 for UEFA, and 4 for CONMEBOL. Of course this can change from year to year. And the winners of the intercontinental play offs would not effect the conferences slot. This would also allow the WC to stay at 32 teams.
I think you could’ve dwelt on the Canadian second half against Morocco a little bit longer with Canada pressing hard for their first World Cup draw/win, and almost equalizing thanks to the head of Atiba Hutchinson in what is possible to be his last game for the CMNT in his 101st cap, only to have it cruelly bounce or the line millimetres short of crossing the line…and the ref blowing the full time whistle four seconds early…you know…a lot happened in that half. Aside from that, great work as always! Enjoyable and engaging content I’ve come to expect and smiles I need in the wake of a disappointing World Cup!
