    The Strid at Bolton Abbey is probably completely submerged on both sides with little to not rock visible. Whoever built that bridge must have drilled down deep into the bedrock and put a lot of anchors in. That concrete support is doing a wonderful job.

    Let’s all be the horses ass we were born as, and go stand on the bridge whilst the river floors, and see how close we can get to death because, life if just a theme park and we are immortal.

      Happens most years and has done since the bridge was built. The probability of something happening to that bridge when stood on it during this particular flood is extremely low, much lower than something untoward happening to you, in a car, for example.

    That's just normal high water. If it were a flood those trees and buildings would be getting wet and that bridge would be underwater.
