- According to the Tokyo Fire Department, the road under the Odakyu Line elevated in Yoyogi, Shibuya Ward, was flooded at around 7 p.m. on the 21st due to heavy rain, causing two trucks and a taxi to become stranded and their doors to be unable to open. Each driver then escaped on his own and was uninjured. The area was submerged in water with a depth of 1 meter to 1.5 meters.
A large amount of water accumulated in the underpass near JR Yoyogi Station, and you can see a taxi running into it and floating in the water. The water had accumulated to a height that covered the entire tire of the car, and the person who took the photo said, ``On the way home, there was such a heavy thunderstorm that I couldn't see ahead.

元々、日本は台風による大雨で悩まされて来た歴史があります。
日本の首都圏の地下深くに「地下神殿」と呼ばれる空間があり、大雨となっても、その地下神殿に流れて行くので水がひくのも早いです。
これは「首都圏外郭放水路」と言うもので全長6.3kmにも及び、そこに流れ混んだ水は濾過して河川や海に放水する。これは建設プロジェクトが1992年に開始し10年以上にわたる建設期間を経て 2006年には完成したものです。
基本的には、全国の地方都市で大雨となっても、地下に流れ込み下水処理施設に流れ込む様になっていて、その施設で濾過されて川や海に放される仕組みになっています。
日本人は皆知っているので、心配は必要ありません。
