I’m so happy for you to hear that you are more healthier while living in Laos. It’s true that almost everything is fresh in most markets in Laos. I’m just wondering if you have any children, I didn’t see them in any of your videos. Hope one day that I can retire in Laos too.

Hi Joe! Yes - can definitely tell the difference with all the organic, fresh food. You’re very observant! Fon and I do not have children of our own…but we do spend much of our time on the farm caring for our “grand-kids.” Our niece and nephews are grown…we have one grand-nephew that stays with us on weekends, and another that stays full time on the farm. You’ll see more of them in upcoming videos…Thanks for watching!

Hang in there, it gets better! It can be hard to filter out all the noise of daily life, but trust that all that slips away in time. I try to focus only on what I can control, and don’t worry about any of the rest. Thanks for watching!

I think one can do whatever you are doing in Laos in the US too. You can buy 100+ acres of emptied land in the mid-west and disconnect from the grid and live freely while still enjoying the abundance of services and convenience of living in the US. Cost of living might be the biggest reason one wants to move back to Laos/Thailand/Vietnam.

Good point. One of our biggest reasons was being closer to my wife’s family.

The land is a lot cheaper than America. You can start fresh and build a nice homestead. Grow your own food and raise chickens for meat. Solar power for electricity. Install air conditioning.

Size of land is about 1.5 hectares, and original asking price ~10 years ago was about $35K USD. Prices for land now are all over…depends on location, proximity to utilities/roads, etc…
