Mango Pudding | No Gelatin, No Agar-Agar | Quick & Easy Mango Dessert

- A Mango is an incredible fruit all by itself, no doubt, but it can also do so much more when paired with other ingredients. Here's an easy Mango Pudding recipe, made in a similar fashion as my coconut pudding, but with some changes. It's similar because of the use of corn flour, and different because of the fruit and milk used. Also, I like to consider the Lime juice as significant, for the tartness it provides elevating the taste of the mango further :)
Ingredients:
Pulp of 2 Ripe Mangoes (I've used Alphonso; use as preferred)
1 & 1/4 Cups Milk + 1/4 Cup Milk (you may use non-dairy milks)
1/2 Cup Sugar (adjust as per sweetness of the Mango)
2 Pinches of Salt
1/4 Cup Corn flour
Juice of Half a Lime*
[1 cup=240 ml]
*Lime juice provides an acidity that balances the sweetness and enriches the flavour of the Mangoes. IT IS TO BE ADDED AT THE VERY END, or else the milk will curdle.

Hello folks!
Some recipe notes:
•Use good quality, sweet, ripe mangoes, not sour ones; this will prevent curdling.
•Upon adding the corn flour, cook the mixture well, for 4-5 minutes. [Quarter cup=4 Tbsp] Taste the mixture to check for flavour; if the cornflour taste persists, continue cooking. The lime juice added at the end gives a lovely flavour, and since the milk is already thickened by cornflour, it doesn't split.
•Setting of the pudding depends on the proper quantity of corn flour and cooking of the mixture.
•After pouring into moulds, cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 Hours (do not freeze)
•If no moulds are available, just pour it into glasses, cool, chill, and enjoy.
I haven't tried substitutes for cornflour.

I made the same but instead of cornflour I added vanilla custard powder which gave an amazing taste. ❤️
I think the aim here is to make everything natural.
I wouldn't add vanilla because it doesn't go well wit mango.
Custard powder is starch too, but has colours and chemicals in it...
@@samlsd9711 like any recipe the aim is to share it with people for them to do with it what they want (which is why she's not the only person to comment that they've done this).
Also vanilla & mango ice cream exists, along with places that make vanilla & mango smoothies & believe it or not there are even recipes online for muffins, cakes, slices & even a mango vanilla custard, so I'd hazard a guess that most people, like myself, actually find vanilla & mango extremely compatible.
Custard powder is starch too, but those "colours and chemicals" are as natural as you or I, the yellow is tartrazine which is just a salt. The vanilla flavouring will either be from actual vanilla or derived from a few types of tree bark.

I came here not because I am going make the pudding 🍮 but bcoz the pudding 🍮 was looking beautiful.... I have make it but I have whisk it with hand and I have given so much sugar so it taste was very sweet .and I have not given lemon juice at last because it was not available that time. And it was like pudding only. But I have make it in steel bowl.And before poring the mixture I have forgotten to grease oil 🤣😅

I want to share that it became good in look but in taste there is taste of cornflour so while putting cornflour in it firstly heat the milk and cornflour mixture in separate container after that u mix with mangoes ...

@@aceblackwell7676 You have to heat the milk and corn flour mixture for a few minutes in separate container before mixing it with the mango container to get rid of the corn flour taste. Or you can just add more mangoes!
