"A Song of Ice and Fire (commonly abbreviated as ASoIaF) is an ongoing series of epic fantasy novels by American novelist and screenwriter George R. R. Martin. Martin began writing the series in 1991 and the first volume was published in 1996.
The story of A Song of Ice and Fire takes place in a fictional world, primarily on a continent called Westeros but also on a large landmass to the east, known as Essos. Most of the characters are human but as the series progresses others are introduced, such as the cold and menacing supernatural Others from the far North and fire-breathing dragons from the East, both thought to be extinct by the humans of the story. There are three principal story lines in the series: the chronicling of a dynastic civil war for control of Westeros among several competing families; the rising threat of the Others, who dwell beyond an immense wall of ice that forms Westeros' northern border; and the ambition of Daenerys Targaryen, the exiled daughter of a king who was murdered in another civil war fifteen years before, to return to Westeros and claim her rightful throne. As the series progresses, the three story lines become increasingly interwoven and dependent upon each other."
"Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss for HBO. It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin, the first of which is A Game of Thrones. Set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, Game of Thrones has a large ensemble cast and follows several story arcs throughout the course of the show. The first major arc concerns the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros through a web of political conflicts among the noble families either vying to claim the throne or fighting for independence from whoever sits on it. A second focuses on the last descendant of the realm's deposed ruling dynasty, who has been exiled to Essos and is plotting to return and reclaim the throne. The third follows the Night's Watch, a military order defending the realm against threats from beyond Westeros's northern border."

Blackfyre Rebellions
Everything else apart, Tywin Lannister wiping out the second most powerful house in the Westerlands to the last man woman and child and then making a famous song flexing about them being wiped out and making it a personal theme song has got to be the most gangster thing I’ve ever heard.
Rains will be heard for centuries to come.
Tywin is basically immortalized
It’s pretty fuckin gangster 😎
He didn't make it, a singer came to court and was HANDSOMELY rewarded for it
The most gangsta shit in recent Westerosi history for damn sure!
Tywin Lannister. The true og drill rapper
Every couple of years Westeros inevitably gets a "knock knock. It's the Blackfyre Rebellions"
Aegon totally not a blackfire targaryen: hey guys what's up ?
Nobody expects the Blackfyre inquisition
@@georged7059the black dragon aint goin nowhere son! 😅
What happens to rain when it goes to the north of Westeros? That's right, it freezes into snow. Jon and Ramsay secret Reynes confirmed.
All we need now is a secret Tarbeck
Based
sanest game of thrones theorist
You sonofa.... I'm in agreement with this theory
Honestly, that’s still less schizo than 90% of the “X is actually from Y family” theories I hear.
The Stepstones must’ve inspired Tywin’s future love of war crimes…
A video on the Yronwoods would be cool! There's so much stuff that happens in Dorne that is kind of glossed over a by a lot of people.
Good idea 👀

The animation: *three 2d drawings switching and moving left and right.*
Me: "That's the most beautiful thing i have ever seen."
Seriously, it fills me with unreasonable amount of happiness to see that animation.
:D
Wait wait wait, you’re telling me that Rohanne Weber from dunk and egg is Tywins grandmother?
Yep! Rohanne actually briefly mentions Gerold Lannister courting her in the Sworn Sword iirc
Yep, and she was also very influential in choosing Egg as king
Yep!
@@Flipdip32 yeah I do remember that, only read them recently, I just didn’t think she’d end up with him
Surprised the hell out of me too! Found out when I first saw the Lannister family tree in TWOIAF. I would have sworn that Tywin’s grandmother would have been an Arryn or a Targaryen
And this is why Tywin was named TyWIN not TyLoss
Good one 😂
Would love to see him face Unwin
I wish we knew more about Tygett Lannister. He was apparently a very good sword fighter
On the one hand, I will hand it to Tywin for making it VERY clear not to mess with him. On the other hand, going to war without his father/liege lord's permission over a matter said lord had already forgiven and then exterminating two entire families instead of just taking hostages/land/executing the leaders or letting them take the black was an insanely massive overreach he only got away with because Casterly Rock is nigh impossible to siege and Aerys shortly thereafter named him hand of the king. And that while these actions made people personally fear Tywin they also started the decline of trust and respect for the Lannisters as a whole by other noble families AND directly lead to no one wanting to surrender to him in later conflicts thereby ensuring the Riverlords would join the Northern Lords in the whole King in the North thing in the books. It's almost like being a brutal tyrant was able to get Tywin short term results and personal a "Oh shit" reputation while actively harming him and his family in the long run!
And this why I side with you on the "Tywin isn't some political genius. He's a competent administrator who's also a sadistic brute." Literally Gregor Clegane but more intelligent, refined and hands off.
That being said, can you imagine how much worse he'd be if Ellyn had seduced Tytos and been his mum?
That Ellyn comment made me think... It's a shame we barely know anything about Jeyne Marbrand
if he didn't over reach no depts will be paid and Lannisters lose money, and had he spared them they would likely just plot again. the only reason he won was because they were off guard, tytos made a very hard problem to solve that have very restricted out comes. I'd say he did well.
@@mesa577 That is not how things work in a feudal society. You can't just murder an entire lineage without repercussions. Doubly so when Tytos, the actual lord, had said to forget things. Tywin, by that time, had already gotten most of the Lannister's vassals to repay their debts. Yes, the Reynes and the Tarbecks might cause more trouble down the line...but THAT'S when you go for them. And even then you go for the lord, maybe strip them of lands and titles. Maybe an execution or two of the ringleaders. What Tywin did? That's how you ensure that anyone who does oppose in you the future opposes you to the hilt.
Nope, U r way off in ur assessment bro.
1. Tywin being Brutal, Cunning and Smart is the exact and only reason Aerys became friends with him and appointed him as Hand...
2. Only after Tywin, the respect, fear and trust of the Lannisers are increased bro. Not the other way around... Now, Everybody in the realm knows never to f*ck with the Lannisters especially while Tywin is around... And his reputation of being the Man of his Word also speaks for itself, Eg. The Iron Bank of Braavos's Trust in him...
3. Bro, Tywin is the definition of Political Genious lol. I dont know what yall talking about, If Tywin is not a Political Genious, then noone in the World is too lol...
@mesa577 I don't necessarily agree with this. If Tywin opted to take hostages/wards (ie: Theon becoming a ward of Eddard Stark) then the the Reynes would be dissuaded to Rebel. This case would be furthered if several of the key male figures of the house were sent to the Wall as the family would be too spread thin to actually formulate another rebellion without severe cost. Frankly, I only think Roger Reyne and his Co-Conspirators needed to put to the sword tbh. That would have been a enough of a show of force to show that House Lannister wasn't weak and also wouldn't make Tywin look like a complete nutjob.
‘But now the rains, weep o’er his hall and not a soul to hear’
Tytos Lannister is the definition of that meme where the guy is crying while wearing a mask.
Reynes and Tarbecks: (Resist Arrest)
Tywin Lannister: “Then pay with your blood!”
It was a Reyny day back then
Tywin continues to be my favorite character in the entirety of Game of Thrones. His short son is pretty great, but Tywin steals the show every time he's on screen and, from what I've seen of the books, he's no less of a madlad there as well.
You're a genius for using the CK3AGOT interpretation of Casterly Rock's throneroom
Glad someone noticed 👀
It'd be neat if there was a season in House of the Dragon about the rebellion. Fun fact: Tytos is inspired by Henry III of England and the sigil for Ryne was taken from the sigil of Simon DeMonfort who rose up aganist Henry III before Simon was killed in a battle with Edward I who became King of England. It's known as the Second Baron's War and the events are similar.
Reynes & Tarbecks: The Lannisters more like the Lame-annisters right LOLZ!!!
Tytos: HO HO HO YOU GUYS ARE FUNNY!!!
Tywin: I"m about to end these guys careers... and HOUSES!!!
This would be a great spinoff series on HBO
They won't make it cuz this is mostly a war story.
"Run that shi back"

I think an interesting video idea would be of how the Starks took over the North.
Or maybe explain the histories of vassal houses who were once kings in their own right, ie the Boltons, Hightowers, etc.
They wiped out the power base of the blackwoods causing them to flee to the Riverlands. They then put up the glovers in their place as vassals. They also conquered the rills and the barrows.
The only part that'd really be interesting is the long history of wars with the Boltons and how they subdued the greywater marsh
Just imagine if Tytos was able to get it up that one fateful time then maybe both the Reynes and Tarbecks might still be alive in the story. I loved the video, I was looking forward to a mention of Lord Gerold's wife, Lady Rohanne. Also, this video taught me a few details I was unaware of. One being the rumor of the last Lord Tarbeck escaping to Essos and becoming a bard. Excellent upload
Thanks
Most fans: What Tywin did to Tysha and his son was his moral event horizon
Me: Tywin going "war crimes go brr" here was his moral event horizon
I knew there was a reason I liked Tywin so much.
Awesome vid pal!!
Thanks!
It was a pretty boring day then Fantasy Haven dropped and everything changed
I love the animations you do for your videos! Along with superb analysis and informative breakdowns, the animated characters add such a cute touch to such a bleak universe. Keep up the outstanding work good ser!
I'd enjoy a video on House Reed.
I would love a video on the Stormlands
Good idea! Any specific House or event?
@@fantasyhaven1 I was thinking the Storm Kings from Durran up to conquest. You've done videos really relevant to the Dance, so maybe summarise that part and then House Baratheon and their vassals after the Dance until Robert. Think you'd be interested?
I'm definitely interested in going through the different eras of Westeros... Not sure if I should divide them up by region or group them all together
Is it just men or does Ellyn Reyne sound like a Cersei No. 1.
Day 1 of asking for The Blackfyre Rebellion video
Well done. That was a good one!
Amazing video!
Ah, Ser Amory Lorch, when you need a child out of the picture, just call the manticore.
The Kidkiller Chronicles

Great video, man. One on the War of the Ninepenny Kings would be incredible!
Gonna do a whole Blackfyre series in the future
@@fantasyhaven1 awesome, can't wait!

Tywin is the most gangsta GoT player. One of my guilty pleasures is GoT watching parties, and even though everyone hates the Red Wedding, no one blames Tywin. They always see his POV and hate Walder Frey for this.
Could you do a video about the secret siege of Maegors holdfast and surrounding political Intrige?
very nice
fav asoiaf channel m8
I wanna see a video about house Bolton if there is enough info on them.
Good suggestion
How about a video on the history & theories on House Florent, the foxes of the south. They have an interesting backstory & being the backbone of Stannis Baratheon's forces who continue to support him literally amidst enemy lands.
The Reynes are unironically one of my favorite houses
Suggestion: History of The Valyrian Freehold
I'd love this to be a flashback episode from Tywin's POV if we ever get a Roberts Rebellion show.
Could you make a video on the houses of the Crownlands
Could you make video about the underground world of Westeros? There are so many places that have a network of underground tunnels, crypts and caverns. I'm sure it would make Preston Jacobs happy and it Reminds me a lot of the Depths in Tears of the Kingdom.
You even kind of already started in this video with the drowned mines of Castamere.
Cool idea!

The Rains of Castamere is great. I have a couple of versions of it from iTunes.
Those idiots F***ED UP when they messed with Tywin. This cemented his SAVAGE status. Honestly, I respect how Tywin handled it. His useless father made the family a mockery. After Tywin, they were feared
Could you make a video on Jon Connington + The Golden Company
also better thumbnail xd respect
Hey are you planning on doing some videos on other Fantasy settings?
Now this would be a good spin off show
how about an animated video on all the Targaryen dragons and their riders?
Bro theres million of content about Targaryens (including a entire book), theyre not that interesting
What would the Reynes and Tarbecks even do afterwards anyway? They're practically surrounded by the might of the Iron Throne. They're bound to be punished or destroyed even if they succeed in their localized conflict.
I think they would have made their case to the king the House Lannister was being out of control so they had to deal with them themselves
video on the Brackens and Blackwoods?
Maybe you should do a full history of the Targaryen kings (Aegon the Conqueror- Aerys II)
Would be quite long, but could be very interesting.
I'd also be interested in Game of Thrones what if content, if you ever wanted to do that
I like the idea of What If content 👀
@@fantasyhaven1 A few ideas I had, if you have any interest
- What if Tywin Lannister never became the Lord of Casterly Rock (namely, what if Tywald or Tion became Lord instead)
- What if Stannis won the Battle of Blackwater Bay (or just the WOTFK generally, say he is given Storms End before the series starts, or has a few sons as well as Shireen)
- What if the Blackfyres won the Iron Throne?
- What if Rhaegar wed Cersei?
- What if Khal Drogo survives and invaded Westeros?
- What if the dragons never died out?
- What if Balon died before the War of the Five Kings?
- What if Rhanerya and Aegon II married?
- What if Aerion Brightflame became king?
Those are just a few... there are probably a lot more
@@fantasyhaven1what if tywin & joanna had a second daughter after the twins? why did they not have more kids before tyrion anyway
Heck yeah! Don't forget to turn your notifications on, kids. I missed this release by four whole hours 😢.
Maybe a video about the andal invasion
video pica pra krl continue com o excelente trabalho 🦆
4:37 I always wondered why the daughter of the lord of Casterly Rock would be married off to a member of House Frey. That makes sense now hahaha
And not even the heir to house Frey, a second son who would inherit nothing.
You should cover the first blackfyre rebellion
i think you should make a video about boltons history
You could do a video on the blackfyre rebellions
Algormancy!
And now the rains weep over his halls, with no one there to hear.
Tragic story but good Song
Is it ever mentioned whether/how Houses Reyne and Lannister are related? Their arms are reversed, both in colour and in facing, both of which are common ways of displaying bastardy or cadetship. My guess would be that House Reyne of the intriguingly named 'Castamere' is somehow indirectly descended from the original House Casterly that Lann the Clever is supposed to have stolen the Rock from (which would give an extra motive to their grudge against House Lannister) and that Lann himself was a Casterly bastard (which is a suitable starting point for a Trickster Hero myth).
Young griff is actually a secret tarbeck confirmed????
What would be Bloodraven’s course of action when he finally gets wind of a Blackfyre (fAegon) trying to take the throne?! 👀
Considering he's part tree probably nothing.
I think Brynden probably sees the bigger picture that the Blackfyres are the least of his worries with the Others invading
@@thatoneblackdude3333 but he’s a greenseer? He can probably do something, even a little bit 👀

Tywin is a beast.
1:33 can we all deep the fact that house peake have killed a targaryen king and somehow weren’t completely wiped out of existence
I think the first actual explanation of the Raynes is actually in TWoIAF

Yeah i just got it.Its fortress under Seige right?
I doubt if anyone here knows about that game but im glad atleast u know abt it.✌️✌️
And who are you the proud lord said
Can you do a video of the house of the undying?
Erectile dysfunction kills folks.
7:50 most likely Bronn
House Reyne is my favorite sigil
if you have given birth to TYWIN LANNISTER you have won war of the wombs
Tywin took pains to reign in the Reynes , becoming their bane. Shoulda stayed in their lane...
Isn't it kinda odd how no one else intervened? Like why wouldn't the Tyrells for example intervene? Picking a side to favour as the new wardens of the west, or the king, or anybody....
Because they seen the reports of what was happening and maybe told themselves that this young Lannister is not to be f***** with
I fell bad for lord tarbeck
Damb Amory lorch was killing kids even back then??
Which is why I cheer when I read the chapter in A Clash of Kings where he's thrown into the bear pit at Harrenhal
😮 Power for sake of power
What if some Reynes survived and they play a part in future ASOIAF books?... naah
When the backstory of a theme song (Rains of Castamere) from ASOIAF has more depth and plot than these modern anime called as *pEaK fIcTiOn🤡* 🤣.
First of all, I can't really blame Tywin for being a cold, calculating and ruthless person. He grew up under a weak amiable father who caused House Lannister to be a laughing stock and whom was defied(even mocked) openly by his very own bannermen. Tywin's father was such a weak and ineffectual Lord, that every one of his bannermen took advantages that were overstepping their boundaries as vassal houses. Especially House Reyne and Tarbeck. House Reyne grew very powerful and rich under the weak rule of Tytos Lannister and House Tarbeck also profited greatly. As the Eldest of Tyto's sons, Tywin saw personally upfront on how everyone mocked his father and their utter disrespect towards House Lannister. He grew cold and calculating because of this, and mistrusted laughter as people often laughed at his father. To be honest, no one and certainly not I can blame Tywin for becoming who he became, as he was placed with a heavy burden from the day he was born. Not to mention he was slighted numerous times by Aerys II and rightfully, he had the right to not like the Targaryens much less support them. Tywin worked hard all his life to make House Lannister great again and Aerys who had formerly been his friend, lost his support when he kept making advances towards Joanna(Twyin's wife) and publicly humiliated him, by refusing the betrothal between his daughter Cersei and Rhaegar,, saying that his lineage were not worthy to marry into theirs because they were "Servants". To top it all off, Aerys took away Jaimie who was Tywin's Heir and this was the straw that broke his back.
tytos was just his generations tommen, poor lad
Honestly? Based.
Tywin was just being based
Do remember that the rains of castamere is inspired by the lannisters
If you are a reyne supporter it might not be how it really happened
The Reynes were based and they had the better banner! If the AGOT mod ever get's a Dance of the Dragon startdate, I'll use that just to play as the Reynes.
Terrible fate for an old and wealthy house Robb Reyne was a good warrior and loyal to the Real Royal Family House Blackfyre
Reyne and tarbecks wasn’t strong houses at all didn’t even put up a fight this shouldn’t even be talked about
Bro what?? They were the second most powerful houses in the west, easily on par with houses like the Freys, Darrys, Manderlys, and even Boltons in their respective regions
It was Ellen all along
Asoiaf fans: Genocide is badass!
only a couple hundred dead mostly thanks to the stupidity and arrogance of thier own lord war crime sure genocide no
Tywin was not the lord of the westerlanders, literally everything he did was illegal. The reynes and tarbecks were right to rebel because tywin has no power over them.
Well no stopped him hell he even got rewarded as hand of the king guess those families didn't matter as much as they thought they did
