She was concerned but stayed out of the way, she let her husband who’s also a first responder, help the man. She also did a good job by not panicking and she kept the public calm. Definitely, as a nurse I'll assist and give report but then move out of the way... also my husband was a police officer and told me, "so many ( 2nd traffic accidents )happen AFTER the initial accident because of looky-loos. Sad but very true

I think Kate’s reaction was appropriate. She knew that there are many who have stepped up to help the man including her husband. No need to further crowd the area and it’s obvious that the officer was okay. No need to further embarrass the man by crowding him. I have always been a casual observer of her and Prince William, but I think they are both doing an amazing job as young royals, as well as parents. They have a quiet strength and dignity about them.

Well, considering you're own safety is an important part of first response. You can't help something if something bad happens to you, that just creates more issues for other responders to deal with.

As someone who served in the Army for ten years on active service and who has participated in innumerable ceremonies, I can attest that this occurs frequently. Dehydration, excessive heat, illness, or locking your legs out are a few causes. I've witnessed it frequently. It is really challenging to remain at attention for an extended amount of time. When I was stationed in Hawaii, I recall that the ceremony for changing the command lasted for more than three hours. It was 89 degrees outside when we had to stand in formation in a field without any shade. awfully horrible

M Scott true there does seem to be an obsession with Diana even after 20 years people are still grieving, however there has to be a reason why she seems to still be able to have a strong influence in people's minds when it comes to her children. Maybe because she simply was at the end of the day, a normal person who showed her flaws and was just a mother and a good one at that.
