- GASOLINE RAINBOW. A rhapsodic portrait of the new generation from Bill and Turner Ross (Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets).
In select US theaters now and streaming globally May 31. A MUBI Release.
With high school in the rearview, five teenagers from small-town Oregon decide to embark on one last adventure. Piling into a van with a busted tail light, their mission is to make it to a place they’ve never been - the Pacific coast, five hundred miles away. Their plan, in full: “Fuck it.”
A South by Southwest and Venice Film Festival selection.

If you know the size of Oregon, the setup is a head scratcher.
What do you mean?
You can cross Oregon South East to Northwest corner in like 9 hours.
You're assuming 1) they have use of a car for the entire trip and 2) they're trying to get to the coast As Quickly As Possible.
Why would you assume these things?
So it is all about verisimilitude. Having lived a huge portion of my life there and crossing the state multiple times, the movie stretches the believability, well at least the trailer raises questions. Like I said, if you’re familiar with Oregon…It is like that movie Long, Dumb Road. If you are taking your time, it is a two day trip on I-10 from Austin to LA.
@@theirvify You sound pretty insufferable. Did you also find Easy Rider to be "a head scratcher" since they should have been able to get from LA to New Orleans in about a day?
Glad I don't have to take a road trip with you.
