You should make the kamikaze robots keep chasing you after entering the activation range because when they stop, it's kinda easy to get rid of them by just not stopping
Maybe they could stop, and then at that moment save the position of the player, then a split second later (and just an instant before they explode) they jump towards that position to explode. So the player is forced to roll away to dodge damage.
Yeah definitely a little too easy. I did some testing with a lot of enemies and it’s a bit easy to miss them, but I can shorten their explosion timers by 90%, that might help

Really cool progress! I'd highly recommend aiming the barrel of the guns along the path of the bullets when shooting, the guns feel extra inaccurate when the barrels aren't aligning! And the Sandevistan trail will also look much cooler if you also make copies of the weapon you're holding in the direction you're aiming.
The Goofy Running animation always reminded me of one of the titans from Attack on Titan in episode 6. Also that sandevistan looks sick, good job, always love seeing how Synty assets can be elevated with a bit of creative elbow grease. 💪

This is looking really cool. Seeing that it’s pretty action heavy, you might try making the upgrade pop up be unobtrusive. Something maybe like keyboard shortcuts along the hot bar, etc. being in action and the game jerking you into upgrade selection may interfere with the super cool fluidity you have going on
Nice! I had a couple ideas for the slow time mode.
1) Change how the color works to have each copy of the body run through the color wheel. Basically the copies would spawn blue, then over their life cycle, change into the other colors you picked.
2) I'd also start fading out the copied actors slowly immediately after they spawned and then deactivate them.
I think both these changes could make the effect look even better.

A quick change that might help accessablity would be to change the shape of enemy bullets (instead of just changing its color). I know its only a 1 month project but still might be cool for the people that want to test that have some sort of color blindness

That running animation is giving me life on the exploder. Hilarious. How ya feeling on finishing this up next week? Do you think you'll continue after to polish it up or put it up as is and maybe fix it up later?
Will have it playable at the end of next week, probably won’t work on it further as I need to get back to my main project

The time system could be a potential problem in the future, it's good to have it abstracted and decoupled as much as you can. But if you don't plan on expanding on it this just might be overkill 😄

nice effect, can you please make a spawn point for your bullets that is at the end of the gun barrel, bullets spawning from the middle of the player bothers me way more than it should :)

Gameplay Idea: What if you had to defend your own trail? If an Enemy touches it, you loose health. If you shoot it yourself by accident, then you're out. Could put an interesting spin on the formula. Maybe the effect get's interrupted when picking up certain Power ups. Just some thoughts on your project - maybe you find them helpful

I'm not sure if someone else already said it, but you can use a Gradient instead of multiple colors.
Instead of implementing object pooling here, using particle effects or VFX effects might be more beneficial. Additionally, instead of using Add Component, it would be better to use Get Component.

Maybe by taking the character as a img and then using that data to generate a trail effect. The trail itself would be faster than yours but how I imagine it, i will need an extra camera and if you plan to add this effect to multiple game objects you would need even more cameras! and if you rotate the camera then everything will look odd for a second on the older parts of the trail. There is also a paid module that does this but idk their implementation so it could be as same as yours.
