Wow, great post mate. I’m having health issues and part of it is damage to my face. Unfortunately it effects people’s perception, judgement etc but my husky came into my life just as it was starting to crumble.
He protects me, watches over me on really ill days, the meds in on can cause vertigo and if I hit the dirt he’ll stand over me protectively then when I’m ready he will physically help me of the ground.
What you said really resonated. He doesn’t judge me, see me different etc and just always makes me feel special. Friends, work colleagues and others one by one turned away from me. Making me feel inadequate etc because it feels like it’s because I’m no longer of any use to them. But not my big lad. If anything he loves me more.He is my best mate and what you said about dogs not caring about how we look , are etc but just loving us for us. So so true mate 👍🏻

Ok the tear flowed when Momma got him home and seeing him with his wheelchair just surprised he could go so fast. Such an amazing woman to take in such amazing creatures no matter what their condition might be animals still need love.
