I do love them when they are trimmed nice and skinned. They look good mixed in with other plams and tropicals. They are a lot of work, but worth it to me.
Thanks for your video. I was trying to determine if I had a fan palm or a Mexican palm growing in my backyard. It's a small Mexican palm, so I'm tearing it out tomorrow. Too bad, it sure was growing nice and hardy. I do have a few mature wind mill palms that I was hoping this would be. Thanks again.

I appreciate your insights! I have 2 Mexican Palms planted next to a pool here in Sacramento. 8 feet now - anyway to slow growth? Look great but the nursery substituted these for dwarf palm😅
No, don’t do that, he is my coolest neighbor here and you won’t believe this, I came back to the property after being gone two weeks and all of those palms are magically gone. He cut them all down. He left two nice queen palms which are always welcome. I never said a word to him nor would I have because I hate when people do that to me.
Personally I think the Robusta shown in the distance are trimmed too much…😅

Mexicans brought them back to California.
They were here before the ice age killed them.
