    Probably the best airgun show.. On you tube
    In the 70s airguns were just like the 70s cars okay but not really up to the job..
    Now the range and quality are amazing reliable easy to shoot...
    I am in my 60s now and I have owned most makes of airguns.. The game changer for me was the hw35.. The trigger was amazing I could shoot playing cards in half at 25 yards with a 3x32 scope the good thing about the early years was learning how to shoot rubbish guns I still own my 1st rifle a relum tele and when I get ahead of my skills I drop back and try to shoot groups using the same setup... Its great fun...

      It's a shame re 1970's airguns, obviously the accountants started to flex their influence.
      The Webley MK3 was king prior till then

    Good video Guys! Would be good to make a video on basic maintenance of an air rifle. Include cleaning the barrel demonstration as part of the video 🙂

    Great informative content guy's as you say not everyone has deep pockets 😊. Looking forward to the night vision episode especially entry level options. I myself just require to shoot rat's out to 20yds max not record the outcome, the record facility to me just ups the price but if that's what you want fare play. I've been looking at the Base Optics NV90 at £150 ish but the two places that sell them have sold out.

    Watched an American shooting the Gamo GX40 (Urban in the USA) against his FX Wildcat at 30yds - no difference in accuracy but the Gamo is now nearly £1,000 cheaper! Not a one off either, seen several examples of how good the Gamos are, surprised to see you've ignored this BSA made range which for young'uns especially are a great lightweight- and small hands option. Maybe you should try them as a stock item?

    • @hotair4269
      @hotair4269  Před 8 měsíci

      Hi Mike, at the shop we sell Gamo and BSA, Gamo being the company that bought out BSA some years ago.
      I agree that Gamo & BSA are both superbly well made air rifles and there is an episode in the pipeline for BSA’s.
      The Phox is one of my best sellers.

      Thanks for your instant response. I really enjoyed your video and agree 100% with your sentiments on the HW35. I restored one neglected for years in an ex coal place, fitting a 'Tinbum' Delrin kit and refinishing the stock. She looks beautiful now. I love it nearly as much as my Walther LGV Pro, a Rolls-Royce of spring guns. Looking forward to more interesting presentations from you guys, all the best, Mike@@hotair4269

    Another great video guys don’t apologise for your voice every man goes through puberty eventually! 😂
    Can I recommend some shelves in the background to make the scene a little less sterile or some rifle mounts and a display of a couple of rifles on the wall which you can change periodically maybe sneak a rare air gun in and see if people notice it?

    Lads I’m looking to get a pcp what do think of the walther r.m 8 compact. And sort price should I pay for rifle scope and pump. Regards thanks 😊😊

    • @hotair4269
      @hotair4269  Před 8 měsíci

      Hello Shirley, Yes there a decent rifle to be fair and not a lot of money for a good amount of kit. The rifle will stand you between £450 & £499 depending on retailer and if your buying in store or online, online you’ll get a package deal i would think. Scope wise, you can get a relatively good scope, like the Hawke Fastmount, ranging from £49 to £79 again depending on retailer and model you choose, id say a 3-9x40 is ideal for the rifle you have short listed. Pump, tricky one this, i always recommend Hills, purely because they’ve been around a long time and they last and work well & also there safe, some of the cheaper “ bargain “ pumps aren’t as robust and don’t do the job. These are £200 approx.
      The Gamo Boxer is another i would say have a look at, similar price bracket and similarly well made.
      Hope that helps :)

    It’s lense quality that draws more light rather than lense size and tube size, my 1” 40mm leupold is infinitely better than my old hawke sport hd 50mm.
    Tube size gives you more adjustment.

    • @hotair4269
      @hotair4269  Před 9 měsíci

      But then we’re in the higher brackets where we wanted to give budget options.
      But your also correct lense quality can have a great impact

    • @hotair4269
      @hotair4269  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi Andy, lens quality, fixed mag and bigger aperture can all make for a better light drawing scope. My leupold being one of the finest I’ve ever seen. As Gareth said we are trying to cover budgets from low to high, keep an eye out for the optics only episode due out in the not so distant future. Would love to get some ideas for what you and other viewers would like to see :)

    Really? The 100? Not one of those lasted in our club. Why? They are the most pellet fussy PCP according to our members who have owed them.

    • @hotair4269
      @hotair4269  Před 8 měsíci

      Hi Rob, thanks for your comment. They can be pellet fussy, however I don’t know of many PCP air rifles that don’t like a particular brand or weight or batch of pellet. The video and our opinion is that the HW100 is one of the best PCP air rifles out there.
      We have a Predator in the shop, only 20 ever made and it will only get along with Bisley Magnums, doesn’t make it any less of a great rifle :)

    Just bought myself the hawke airmax 30 sf compact to put on my hw77, might swap it out with the mtc viper pro tactical I've got on my hw98.
    The mtc is quite long and is a tight fit on a break barrel. Havent had chance to get out yet, waiting for the rain to stop. Cant wait😅
