    yo, AFR employee here. It's true, the enforcers have a stock style deck thickness. They are are assembled with the same parts as the renegade heads- including USA made springs and assembled in California alongside all the other products. The alloy used is the same as factory VW/Honda/Toyota heads, and is covered by the same warrantee as the renegade and eliminator product lines, 💯

      So a slightly upgraded stock head with little bigger springs and arp rocker studs? I almost feel like using a set of stock sbc vortec heads with better springs is about the same outcome besides the obvious aluminum vs cast iron

    • @SpeedyCheeze
      @SpeedyCheeze Před 3 lety

      @@jjmccloud The enforcer heads have larger valves and flow more than vortec, they also fit both center bolt and perimeter bolt valve covers and both vortec and non vortec manifolds

      @@SpeedyCheeze i think gonna try the 195 enforcers and dual plane intake on my daily with a decent cam and carb conversion on my 98 k1500 with the 5.7 vortec. I feel like AFR has to much reputation on the line to just put out worthless crap and I feel like if it wasn't up to par they wouldn't sale it. At least this is what im hoping for 😅 if not I'm only out the $1000 for the heads and learned a lesson but I think I'll be happy. Besides its not a drag truck just a daily to play around in

    I run the sve heads with great success. On a 302 with a tfs1 cam trick flow r carb intake, 650dp Holley and a 200shot of nitrous car runs 10.20 1/4. Ive been running it for 2 yrs now. No issues.

    I'm looking at BBF heads. If it was that close of a deal, I would go with better heads. Cheap heads are 1000, brand name heads are 2200+. But you can bolt on name brand heads and make more power and better average power than ported cheap heads from what I have found. Do you actually save money after porting/polishing and possibly using bigger valves and of course better sprigs depending on cam, to make up the power lost on cheaper heads? That's what I have been trying to figure out.

    • @jjmccloud
      @jjmccloud Před 3 lety +1

      Well no if u can afford to go out and do all that to a set of cheap heads then its obviously best to spend it on the good heads lol buying the cheap heads is usually because they can't afford to buy thr better head else most would just buy thr best right off the jump instead of buying cheap and doing all out on upgrading them

    I don’t see an issue? Don’t make it seem like it’s something it’s not. It’s a cheap head that flows better than almost any other cheap head, with more than premium valve train that comes with pushrod guide plates. Simply don’t run boost or a lot of it at least with these heads, and if you’re running boost I hope you have enough money to buy the good heads $800 away so the deck thickness doesn’t become an issue. They are stellar IMO for the price.

    • @SN95Power

      I agree, if u have the money to run boost and build up a bottom end to take it then don't skimp out on your heads and spend the extra $800-$1000 on the better heads. These have their place though for sure and if your looking to just upgrade your daily or build a little weekend toy to play in these will get u there, keeping in mind u don't wanna run boost or run them with 12:1 compression lol they'll do fine

    flow and quality of TFS Track Heats vs Enforcers is not even comparable.. take them both out of the box and put them side by side and you will see. TFS base head is excellent entry level head. Miles above china enforcer... Power and quality is totally in TFS corner....

  • @jjmccloud
    @jjmccloud Před 3 lety

    I mean they are called their "entry level heads" they have their place and Noone is advertising them for pro stock builds or turbo and super charged applications. If u know their limits and it fits your build then there good for that just don't run them everyday with 20psi boost lol upgraded stock engine on a daily driver or weekend toy to play in is the perfect setup for these if u wanna drag race or something buy the next step or 2 up lol

      For $400 more dollars you can get tfs 170. But if you spend $1400 why not spend $1600 for the best sbf head out here, 11r's. I think you sum it up perfectly. They are a good entry level head.

    Watch David Visard review of these heads. The comment about these heads not flowing properly is simply not true. David puts the entire valve train to the test before doing a flow test live on his channel. These heads are very well made and performed amazingly. This guy can't even tell you what kind of springs the heads come with. Before you make a decision about whether or not these are worth the money go to David Visard's channel and get a review from someone with 50 years of experience and took the time to actually do the proper research.

      Please watch Mr. Visard video and buy and read some of his books also. I've learned a lot from reading his books. I also put my money where my mouth and comments were and bought these heads. At time of this video I was going by what my machinist was telling me. Nobody had any information on CZcams for a sbf application at the time. So I decided to buy, review and install heads , which nobody on CZcams did at that time. So I was very happy when Mr. Visard got his hands on these heads to get real data instead of my install and driving impression. Thanks for watching

    • @SN95Power
      @SN95Power  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks for watching and the comments. 1st off, I'm not sure if you're aware of this but in the sbf community, iron gt40 Ford explorer heads have been one of the most popular bolt ons at least the last 10 years. Those heads are all over eBay, marketplace and junkyards. 2nd point. The pic of that spring is clearly a double spring and I thought they came with bee hive springs. Lastly your edited comment about popping heads gaskets on a thick deck aluminum head. How much boost have you been able to run on these heads without sealing issues? I have a video coming showing how these heads work on my boosted application. Hope you hang around because I disassemble head and do a full review. Thanks again for watching.

Next, yes promaxx and skip white has a better valve package but do you disagree about the deck thickness? Which was one of my main points. How much boost have you had on those heads and for how many years without issues? Lastly would you not spend around $300 more for a set of TFS 170 which out performs any of those heads.
