Lovely as always! I’m an Interior Designer, and I have a couple of suggestions…1) put a mirror above the fireplace opposite of the bay window to bounce light around the room and to break up all of the art; and 2) add a vintage. Brass candle wall sconce on your wall next to the stairs.

Having one of her pieces was a bucket list item for me. Having a gallery of her work is a dream come true. He did so well! Varied pieces with complimentary framing but not match-matchy.

From a room that was a corridor to other rooms to a warm, cosy and inviting room, where people will hopefully stop to take in all the features that you have added to the room. This room was initially lost, but you have given it a second chance to enthral any guest that enters your home. What a fabulous transformation!!!!! The colours, textures and decor work to balance and complement each other.
This is absolutely beautiful, MaCenna! I completely agree with Romeo that the stair wall looks like it has always been there - amazing job! And, perfect little Kinsley perched on the sofa arm for the opening shot of the reveal is just the sweetest. 🥰
When backing a painting, etc with brown Kraft paper, cut the size, glue down the edges, sprinkle with water droplets then hold a steam iron over it and it will pull the paper taught and wrinkles will disappear. I learned this years ago and gives your craft projects and paintings a professional finish. I love that rug and am glad you're using it. Also, you have not said anything about the living room window. I bet you could DIY a window seat that Kinsley would love to sit on and look out the window.
I'd love to see the previous homeowners' reaction to all the architectural detail you've added to the stair wall, the arches, and the beams. You have such an eye for those details. Most of us wouldn't think to make those changes, but they really do make the room to give it character.
I actually like the darker picture over the fireplace because the dark tones in it mimic the fireplace...plus, the other picture was my favorite feature in your bedroom. It worked so beautifully in there.
If you painted the main living room (the room behind) in Behr’s Black Evergreen paint it would be the perfect backdrop to showcase those arches and brick floors. That living room would be a dark moody tv viewing room, the colour would bring the outdoors in and all the natural light you get would make the room feel as if you’re nestled under the canopy of trees.
My goodness! This was a video that just kept giving! The placement for Kinsley in the gallery wall will be perfect! The stacked art above the entry table brought out the height of that wall so beautifully. The new chairs are absolutely stunning in the space! They look curated and welcoming. And THEN that wall!!!.... Oh my Lanta! Romeo is so correct! It looks so professional and fits the feel of the home so beautifully! And, MaCenna, I can't imagine how much time you must put into filming and editing but the music, the angles, the up close shots, and Kinsley moments... All your efforts truly make a video that I can't stop watching! 🩵

Love all your art! My MIL was an artist so when she framed her work she adhered the craft/brown paper to the frame with craft glue then lightly dampened the paper with a wet sponge. When it dries the paper shrinks and will be wrinkle free 😊
I remember in an earlier video you said that you didn’t know what this rooms purpose was. Seeing you sat there surrounded by frames it’s the perfect Haul vlog spot! It came together so beautifully!

Not sure about your local codes, but in Illinois, the combustible material covering electrical wiring is non compliant with code. The wires are insulated, but in the event the insulation is compromised, the fabric can start a fire. So I’d recommend checking your local code to double check the requirements.

These neutral colors of light and dark with the varied textures have a casual sophistication that feels so curated and comforting..yet so gorgeous.
