Have a clean surface. Use your longest, sharpest knife. Have trashcan / compost bin nearby. Have storage containers nearby. Lop off each end. Slice in half in two easy 1/2 cuts. Slice of rind of first half in sections. CLEAN AS YOU GO! (makes it much easier) Slice skimmed half into 1/2” slices. Slice these slices into 1/2” sticks. Slice these sticks into 1/2” cubes. For the 2nd half:: Grab your nicest, biggest platter. Stand melon half on its open, wide end. Quarter it into 4 long wedges. Slice each quarter into 1/2” slices. Arrange on platter. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
