I can't imagine a debate would not be another dumpster fire. Trump with shout over everything Biden and the moderator say. Biden won't waste time getting in a shouting match with Trump, which is the only way he'll be able to get any points in.
Ideally, the moderator will have the ability to mute Trump, which can only help so much, which could lead to Trump refusing to debate, just like in 2020

This is a fun segment, but another option would just be to say "over estimated", "under estimated", or "about right." It seems like the buy/sell/hold breakdown confuses both people on and listening to the podcast.

This "buy, sale, hold" thing is a bad idea. I actually had to write down what each buy, sale, hold means to keep up with the opinions' of the commentators. It's just confusing and a distraction. I advise you to do away with it and just have them speak directly to the issue at hand.
It's just standard betting terminology because they are using data from the Scottish teens. It's been a thing on the 538 podcast for years (since at least 2019).
I think we will see at least one debate.
But after the way Trump handled debates in 2020,
I wouldn't count on it changing many minds.

Well, we are a long way away from Biden being held accountable from his crimes since our DOJ has refused to bring charges against Democrats for their obvious crimes. The political persecutions against trump are disintegrating, so Trump won't be the one in jail.

Huh. 80% was my hold. I assumed Biden would push for a debate. But on reflection, even if Trump mixed up Nancy Pelosi with Hillary Clinton on stage it wouldn't change any voters' minds. So probably sell is right.
Sort of a sad thing to say about the country though and a measure or where we are.
Biden's handlers will not allow him to debate. They will come up with some BS like "we shouldn't legitimize this man" or something. The reality is Biden can't even read from a teleprompter, much less think on his feet.
I agree it is very sad that we are at a place where our political establishment elite are pushing a corpse because he is easy to control.

It was sell for me because after that last disastrous debate in 2020, they both skipped the usual final debate. Plus Trump has an ego trip thing over the past year where he doesn't think he needs to debate to win (he didn't attend any of the primary debates).
@@funtechu I would buy. I don’t want to watch it, I think it’s bad for Biden, but I think Biden is so wedded to tradition he’s going to do it despite his aides telling him not to. Trump knows it will just reinforce the narrative that Biden is too old and he’s also going to want to do it. I really hope they don’t though.
