Best use of a picnic table cloth ever
I would eat some picnic on THAT table...
Yes sir
Absolutely gorgeous
Like Kentucky fried Chicken finger licking Good 😁
*I DOUBT VERY MUCH THAT A TABLE CLOTH WAS USED TO NAKE THAT DRESS!*
A stylish and talented guy, actor and singer. He added a layer of class to the late 80s and early 90s.
I only watch this clip over and over to hear Swayze say “right boot”. His weapon detection senses are off the charts
🤣🤣 I literally searched this up for that scene
Maybe. But maybe the knife on the boot thing is an old trick. Just sayin' ...
@@basilmarasco1975 ya could be

Yeah, he was probably a victim of that right boot trick once, THAT would make anybodies weapon detection off the charts lol.....
Hard to believe this movie is 33 years old! Where has all the time gone?
Indeed. Where? 🥴

She most certainly did, good Sir!
Well I know her wearing that dress certainly did me a favor.... lol!

I like the light glistening off the boot blade like in a cartoon.
Yeah, it screams: "I am sharp and dangerous!!!". I'm fine with that. This film doesn't have any intentions to be anything but what it is: good old testosterone drenched fun, cheesy FX and all.
How long did it take, do you think, for them to angle a light JUST right so that the camera caught the glint like that? Nowadays they'd do it in 5 minutes with CGI.
@@Bazookatone1 It was a special effect.
Man do I miss Patrick Swayze.

Yes, that was one of life's cruel blows.
His career never really went anywhere.
@@eazye519 What about "Dirty Dancing"? What about "Ghost"? Both of those films were huge successes.
A very underrated movie. Yeah, the subject matter isn’t exactly Masterpiece Theater, but the execution is top-notch all the way through. And Swayze, Sam Elliott, and Ben Gazzara all give tremendous performances.
This movie isn’t underrated
Not among ppl who know about it, sure. But among the general public… yes, yes it is underrated. Closer to a ‘cult classic’ than anything else.
Nttawwt.
Between VHS, DVD, Blu-ray and Streaming service sales, 'Road House' has grossed over $203 million, including its original box office of $61 million. I wouldn't call that underrated. .
As you say, only about $60 million of that was on release… which is ‘pretty decent’ not great. But the COOL thing is, over time, many ppl have discovered the movie … hence the ‘cult classic’ status and the eventual $200 million. 👍
Btw, underrated can also refer to *reviews.* Road House currently has 41 percent at Rotten Tomatoes.
So yeah… *UNDERRATED.*
Not exactly Shakespeare, Dickens, or Twain.
The thing I like about this is how all three of them immediately drag them outside to not start a fight in the bar. Rule number 1 being fully adhered to. And it shows it works.
Bouncer rule number one: Party on Wayne... Never interrupt the party if the party need not be interrupted. If it must, interrupt it only for as long as necessary... Party on garth.
Take it outside was rule number 2. Expect the unexpected was rule number 1.
@@stargazer7644 You never went to barber school obviously
"You can be the biggest guy in the world, you smash his knee, he'll drop like a stone" and the guy listening is like "wait a minute, that'd be me!"
As a guy with 2 blown knee's I can attest to that. Mine were self inflicted tho..
As a big guy, that is making a very risky assumption. That the "big guy" in question, isn't going to start with your knee. Movies really do not prepare people for the real world. Being 6'5", and 280lbs, on average for my adult life, at times over the years, in random conversations, shorter guys always tell me, they don't care how big I am, they will just "kick me in the balls", or kick the knee... like that was the secret to dropping all large adversaries, no muss no fuss.
When the light reflected off that boot blade I half expected a "Shwing!" sound.
sshhhiinggg
God bless Patrick Swayze. I lost my mom when I was 27. She passed at just 58. She and Patrick both gone way too soon......
1:19 That's a smart way to set up a head kick that let the stunt guy block it. Some decent choreography in a movie made over 3 decades ago

His star burned very bright. The female love interest in Road House seemed flat (although she was pretty) because his charisma was so great.
This movie is an enigma. It is both the best and worst movie ever made.
It transcends its ridiculousness and becomes a cult classic.
Interesting observation. I understand what you mean. It's no godfather part 1, but probably more entertaining than any movie ever made.

I miss Patrick Swayze.
I have photo of him, when he came to London. I missed him.
We all do.
I’M Miss Swayze!
Only a few famous deaths I was shocked with: F. Mercury, W. Houston and Swayze. Swayze had a character to be missed, those other two had voices of angels. All missed.
We're all headed there. The question is, when we face God, will be right with God for a lifetime of sinning and whether or not we accepted the free gift of salvation that we simply receive by faith, not by works or by a religion.
*Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;*
Titus 3 / 5-6
*For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.*
Ephesians 2 / 8-9
*And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.*
Acts 2/ 21
I implore people to re-read the gospels yet again and forget what any religion / church / denomination claims they say.

One of my all time favorite Cheezy movies RIP Patrick Swayze...
I absolutely adore seeing "bad guy list" actors show up in different stuff haha I'm pretty sure the boot-guy was in multiple episodes of "the a team" and "highlander" as the villain.
Like James Remar, who played "Gans" in "48 Hours" and about half a dozen other bad guys.

Always liked this movie. Patrick Swayze a really cool actor RIP!!!
I love this film.....if I could make just one tiny criticism it would be this: If I had made the film it would be almost exactly the same, but I would never have killed off Wade Garrett...he deserved so much more than that. Beat up? yep...in a hospital bed? fine....but I would have loved to of seen him return at the end for the big fight scene to help Dalton..and then after, rode off into the sunset on his bike. It would still have been a brilliant movie.....
“...I would have loved to HAVE seen...”
I fixed it for you.
No such thing as to OF.
It doesn’t make sense.
I have noticed that a lot as well in the last few years.
Mixing up "have" with "of"
But look at dialogue these days:
Simple mistake.
Not being mean. Honestly.
And I don't think that D L was trying to be mean either.
I agree, he shouldn't have been killed off. I would've had Dalton find him there clinging to life, and call an ambulance. I also would've added a final scene at the end, with Garrett all healed up, and saying so long to "Mijo".
Better that he died more character motivation
@@loganxman I can see that. I think that having Dalton find Wade the way he did, but barely alive, with a slim chance of survival would work.

But it did. Watch it again.
Legend has it, the boot was found by a homeless man who climbed up on the roof to escape a flash flood, after the DD closed down. The boot helped the homeless guy get back on his feet, and finish his degree. Now, both the man and the boot are smart enough, and are constantly having a good time.
