I discuss how difficult it is to get tenure at a R1 university in the United States. In this video, or use my own experiences of getting tenure recently and share the different factors behind getting tenure at a large university.
Then I discussed some of the reasons not to get tenure at the university as a professor. I discuss things like your research productivity, the prestige that you have within the greater academia, and whether other universities of comparable prestige will hire you and believe in the things that you are believing in.
This is part of a larger series on getting tenure in the different things you go through when you get tenure as a professor.
These videos are meant for people that are in graduate school were thinking of becoming an academic, and as well for the greater public if they’re interested in the different factors behind tenure.

David Maslach is a research professor of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business strategy, I discuss topics, such as behavioral science, strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and apply these to my new peer proofreading and editing platform. Topics include the sharing economy, altruism, investing in technology, starting a business, and bounded rationality. My favorite videos pertain to incentives, goal setting, and learning from failure to drive behaviors such as weight loss, stopping telemarketers, creating novel technologies, and creating new movements.
r3ciprocity.com: Peer proofreading and editing platform
A new platform where you can earn credits by editing other people's documents. Use these credits to have your own work edited. If you do a good enough job, you can convert these credits to money.
The goal of the platform is to get people to 'pay it forward' and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.

I just think that it's crazy that at the K-12 level, all I need to do is work at my district for 5 years and occasionally get observed. Every college professor I know in my area has to go through a much more rigorous process in order to build a portfolio and makes relatively close to the same amount as a K-12 teacher with a lower degree with worse health benefits and retirement.

Sir, thank you very much for sharing such valuable informations.
I have some question and it will be really helpful if you can guide me with these. Apart from academic scores- TOEFL score, what are the other factors which increases the chance of an applicant to get admission in a Ph.D program, from a good US university? What are the other things that they check in the application? I want to pursue Ph.D in accounting & commerce, Iam an international student. I have done my Masters(specialization in Accounting & Finance), we didn't have any research paper in our Masters. Is it mandatory to have publications to get into a Ph.D program? Is GMAT required for Ph.D in commerce?? What are the other things which I can do to increase the acceptance level?
