I plan to replace the filter (and fluid) in 1000 miles, I first wanted to remove as much of the old fluid as possible before installing the new filter, as the OEM ZF filter is quite expensive.

No slips (before and after). Still daily driving the car, and going strong with buttery smooth shifting.
I would have dropped the pan and clean the inside and magnets
