@@ogre1890 I understand the money part,I think it is also because of the different styles of play. South America in General style is very different from Europe. France has a clean style of play everything needs to be perfect and meticulous. Spain likes to pass a lot. they are playing a geometrical football at all times. England got that American vibe Big guys and all about pace. South America to me seems all over the place like a free-style type of play with tremendous talent. The UCL winners have won the last 9 times but it doesn't really put it into perspective how a lot of times they really suffer against the not so known teams
Take for example the edition between flamengo and Liverpool, where flamengo put a really good fight against a Liverpool that was bodying every team they were playing, Liverpool won with a single goal on the 100th minute of extra time, flamengo had a lot of chances including a open goal miss by a academy player meaning it could've very well went to penalties.
Or the palmeiras and Chelsea where Chelsea won 2x1 with a penalty on the 117th minute
In the last 30 years europeans Vs brazilians they faced each other 12 times, 7 european X 5 brazilian wins
For europeans the club world cup may not mean so much, but every time they lose it shows that football outside of europe can be on par with them even with the huge disparity in money( Flamengo which was the most valuable on this edition squad is worth less than Hoffenheim, so imagine that, a club that is 14th in the bundesliga having a close game with Liverpool, it is insane)

    My opinion:
Keep the tournament in every 4 years but you should sacrifice one champions league season of Asia, Europe and south America
There should be 8 different groups
First four groups should contain the ucl winnes ,Asia cl winner's, African champions league winners and liberatores winners
Last four groups should be like play offs
There should be decider matches between last 4 pl winners ,last 4 Bundesliga winners , last four serie a winners and la liga winners and then ligue 1 decider winner should face Bundesliga decider winner
So after that playoff , every team should be in one group and the same system should apply to the other teas outside of Europe
Then make a tournament between the top 3 finishers
So 8 teams will finish in 3rd of their group so there should be 2 groups ,the top 2 of the two groups should face the top 2 of other group
    So remains only two teams
Make a final between them to decide the Winner, then a super cup type match

There should be larger global cup, il Europe would dominate but the smaller clubs need that kind of competition in order to succeed.
I propose that 1 club out of each country that played in the WC get selected and it's basically like the world cup.
