- A quick video of me putting the budget Magnusson Lazer level through some tests and giving some more details about the product.
I picked this up from Screwfix for £25 on offer, it's usually around £50. Find it here:
www.screwfix.com/p/magnusson-...
To put it through some of the tests I used a tripod which I bought off amazon:

Excellent video. Thank you 😊
You're welcome,.thanks for the positive feedback
Great video, thanks. Im guessing the reason why you cant turn it off in self-leveling mode is so that the lasers are locked in place when the unit is off and they dont get damaged.
Thanks for the positive feedback. Yeah I believe that would be the reason. seems to be the same on my other one that's a different brand
Many thanks for this video - helped me make the decision to go for it and save some dosh. Thank you - very helpful.
Glad youve found it useful! Hope you get on well with it. It works really well with the tripod mentioned too!

Great video, really helpful
Glad it was helpful!
I'm wanting one of these for bricklaying, I want to use it to level across from one corner to another. What's the measurement from the ground to the laser line (if the laser is placed on the floor) eg I build 6 blocks up on a corner place the level on the top block and measure down to see the other corner.
Hi sorry for the slow reply, a friend had borrowed it and I've only just got it back.
I've placed the lazer level on the floor and measured the height of the Lazer, it was around 5.5cm above the floor
Hey bud, how is the laser level outdoors? I want to set some posts for my deck and wondered what it’s like outside during the daytime?
I've done a video testing this along side a more expensive level and have done some outside tests if you want to check that out. Should be in the playlist.
@@thedoitalldad Thanks
Nice.
Thanks!
How to change the battery, can you please demonstrate
It's a fairly new and clever feature, it charges using microwave radiation. Simply put it in a 700 watt microwave for 12 minutes ( 10 minutes in a 900 watt ) and you're good to go. Charge lasts for 3 full months.

Great video mate, really helpful…. I wish all CZcams videos would be as informative as this one.
Cheers 👍🏻
Glad you've found it useful 👍🏻
Hi, i just got one of these and got a question, the self leveling works fine but when i move the switch to the locked position the horizontal line moves up, i thought it would lock out the levelled lines..is this correct or faulty.
Hi, I think mine also jumps a little when I click it across into the locked position. I think it's just how the mechanism must work
I must be using mine wrong but it's kind of pointless for me. Surely the idea of self level is exactly that. I can only ever get one point of level and when I move it the self level won't adjust. Just flashes until I return it to the only point
Although it's self leveling it can only be so many mm off for it to work. So you have to get it as close as possible then it will do the rest
Have you got a link for the tripod
Hi, yes sorry. I've just added the links in the description 👍🏻
Are you a caretaker?
