    As far as drops go, I think Cannibal does a better job. I've only ridden Takabisha once, and I do remember enjoying the drop more than I thought I would. I assumed from the POV that the holding brake killed the pacing of it, but you do get some nice airtime. However, I think Cannibal has a better overall drop experience. It definitely has more of the element of surprise, not to mention the fact that Cannibal is taller than Takabisha.

    As someone who speaks Japanese, allow me to translate the name for you, because it's actually really interesting.
    The name 高飛車 (Takabisha) is actually what's called an 'adjectival noun', and it basically means "to be on a high horse". It represents the feeling of being higher or better than those around you, but the kanji characters also have a meaning unto themselves. 高 (Taka) means "Tall" 飛 (Bi) means "to fly" or "scatter", and 車 (Sha) refers to a vehicle of some kind. So to your typical Japanese person, the name of this ride will bring to mind a high-flying ride that the park takes great pride in.

      Inverted coaster? Euro Fighters aren't inverted coasters. Did you mean inverting?

  • @austincauley8395
    @austincauley8395 Před 4 lety

    Am I missing something? Cause based on my count, if the banana roll counts as 2 inversions, this thing actually has 8 inversions...
    Barrel Roll in the dark, Corkscrew, Banana Roll, Corkscrew, Dive Loop, Inverted top hat or cutback whatever you wanna call it, and then the Immelman.
    Edit. According to rcdb, a banana roll is only 1 inversion which would mean that Steel Curtain only has 8 inversions not 9 like they advertised.

    I don't know. When drops get that steep it feels more like you're exiting a loop rather than it does feel like a drop.

    I unfortunately wasn't a fan of it as the restraints of eurofighters tend to be quite uncomfortable on my shoulders but the layout and rest of the ride experience was good.

    How does this drop compare to the drop on Cannibal? I get that Cannibal is taller and Takabisha is slightly steeper. But do you think one is overall better or more enjoyable? Does Takabisha's drop feel that much steeper than Cannibal's?

    • @CoasterStudios
      @CoasterStudios  Před 5 lety

      Zac G it’s very similar, the main difference is the slant you get on Takabisha. It doesn’t feel that much steeper of a drop though than Cannibals, because you roll over more on Cannibal to reach that descent.
