- Tonight a first for Colin and Malcolm on #TBWD, The Aultmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12yo released at 46% from the Speyside Region is opened and reviewed. This Aultmore Scotch Whisky release is the first taste of an Aultmore for both the guys and they are impressed with the label statements, ABV, and the overall entire product. With classic Speyside notes, this expression also delivers a bit ‘more’, Ault’more’. Have you had one? Let us know what you think. Cheers!

I still have the last third of my bottle. It's one of my favorites and I think, totally underappreciated. If left in the glass it develops a lovely mineral aroma and taste in the finish. Fabulous stuff that deserves attention and time. Cheers!
Right! This whisky absolutely surprised us with the high quality for an 'unrecognized' brand...We're actively searching for other expressions now. Cheers!
It is always a pleasure to try the “first“ of a region or a distillery or whatever. If I may be so bold as to suggest placing a white paper or white board behind the glass in order to make it easier to determine the colour (spelling for Malcolm) of the whisky. I know it might not be the easiest to do. Just a thought. Cheers!

Aultmore 12 is fabulous, too bad that it looks like is going to be/has been discontinued. At least that’s the word on the street. The 18 is out of this world. Have the 21, but not yet opened it.
It is used by Dewars in its blends.
It was really good, been keeping an eye out for other Aultmore expressions recently...Rumors of discontinuation are all I see too, seems prudent to get another 12yo if I see one though. Cheers!
