      its NOT cheap for foreigners (who the hell is a 'foreigner' anyway? do you mean that immigrant worker from Mongolia or Ukraine? Or your local Romanian dealer? oh I see they don't count. Also, Prague isn't expensive for those who actually work in Prague as Prague's income per capita is like 1.5x that of the Czech republic. So your comment is sort of pointless. sorry

    Oh yeah nightlife I miss that so much. In Canada here is kinda no nightlife at all compared to Czech. I wont go out at 6pm wait a line for 2 hours and leave at 1 or 2 am. In the Czech republic we go out for dinner and beer... at 11pm when the restaurants usually close we move to the bars/clubs which are closing at 5am (some of them at 7am) and then we still have non-stop bars :D That means we can start at 8pm and finish whenever we want sometimes at noon next day :D

    • @cokeboypeking9597
      @cokeboypeking9597  Před 5 lety +2

      yea I agree. I'm in Toronto right now and was not use to paying cover anymore vs in Prague. You are right in Czech usually go out early and end late. In Canada I feel most people stay home and drink to only go out for a couple hours before last call

    • @tomastatyrek2838
      @tomastatyrek2838 Před 5 lety +1

      What I have heard Toronto should be more focused and opened for nightlife more than other canadian cities. Exactly people just wait a line for stamp then they go drink home or some cheap place and then return for couple hours till last calls.... its just sad. I live in Vancouver right now and city seems dead after 10pm. Maybe its caused by distance and prices.

      Tomáš Tatýrek thanks a lot for the kind words. Vancouver from what I hear is more or less a retirement place? North Americans can definitely learn a lot from Europeans when it comes to leisure. @orcusdei Před 5 lety +1

      Let's mention the prices. Many Canadians, or generally people from USA, UK, Zealand... many of them do predrinks, cause it's hell of a cheaper thing. You don't need to do predrinks in Czechia. You go all in and you still come home with some decent money. If you do the same in Canada, you come back and eat dirt for the rest of the month :DD

      Depends what do you want to study. Prague schools are about average and sometimes the best you can get in europe for basically no money. The student life is wild in Prague, where you have pubs under colleges/dormitories and schools often even encourage you to drink by making their own party festivals. But sure you can attend some shitty school and try to find a job which is reserved only for czech speaking - than it can suck. So depends on what you are asking about.

    • @cokeboypeking9597
      @cokeboypeking9597  Před 5 lety

    With that location it's not too good because we are shithole and it's common if you fly somewhere you must go to Vienna, Berlin of Warsaw because it doesn't flying from Prague. For exmaple baltic states and other not common destinations. So we are shithole for that air companies. If you want for example to Tallin, only possible way from Prague is to Riga and from Riga to Tallin which cost same like from Prague to Riga so it's bullshit. Ofcourse if you want use bus you can go everywhere, but spend 10+ hours in bus is not traveling, it's punishment. Countries where I can't go by train or direct plane don't exist for me and I really hate traveling in car. :-)

    • @user-pd6bd7ir4z
      @user-pd6bd7ir4z Před 5 lety

      it's not a shit hole. It's just Prague is a relatively small city. Also, if you really insist on direct flights as a definition of a 'shithole city', you can fly all the way to Seoul-Incheon (South Korea) or Shanghai , Beijing etc directly. Also, Bangkok will soon be direct.

    • @magicpanter
      @magicpanter Před 5 lety +2

      Well, if you consider some tourist trap/hipster/snobbish overpriced pubs in centre as average, enjoy your stay there. Btw you really feel good there? Thats how you party? Your life must be fun :) But dotn spread rumors ffs. 99% of people wouldnt pay more than 2 USD for beer. And what I find really insulting is calling pubs with beer cheaper than 2 USD shithole.
      For example, In Cafe Imperial owned by "czech Gordon Ramsay" Zdenek Pohlreich you pay less than 3 USD for Pilsner Urquel - most famous czech beer that usually costs like 50% more than other average czech beers. Wake up dude. Youre not gonna impress anyone paying more than 2 USD for beer lmao

    • @aswler
      @aswler Před 5 lety +1

      Just bcs drinks are cheap somewhere, that place deserves a vulgar description? As said by the previous commentator, not everybody loves and appreciates the overpriced hipster thousand-tap beer "museums" or Dusni street bars...

    • @jirimarsalik4157
      @jirimarsalik4157 Před 5 lety +1

      I did not mean it horribly. Walk through the downtown of Praha and try to visit on randomly choosen street pubs one by one . In 95% of them, beer's price will start be between 40-50 Kc. Maybe more ... maybe starting price will be 45 Kc. Just so it is. Beer under 40 is rare. Over the past 3 years, the prices in pubs have grown strong (not only beers ... e.g. lunch menu too). I do not mean where a cheap beer is it must be a low quality pub, it was exaggeration, but times when beer was for about 1-1.5 USD passed away. this is a negative side when the economy is growing steadily for several years. But agree that beer is still cheaper then in germany, france .... Have a nice weekend
