I kinda have been nostalgic and just started watching old ff 14 guides and videos again.... Damn times were different back then yet at the same time not that much has actually changed.
And im still in love with this game even after so many years :D
Me and my friends decided to do this as an undersized unsynced party and blind. We thought "well our item levels are 205+ and this was when the highest was 70/80 how hard can it be?"
This fucking lizard clowned us. We kept wiping at the dreadknight phase and we kept dropping the neurolinks dead center to mark where to go in the dives (very scary sliding to a foot away from the edge then scrambling to the middle again). This is why you need to know the mechanics!

cleared it as a light party unsynched, with 3 blind players.
have to admit, i used my own theory as a strategie to avoid wiping at divebombs.
and it worked, we made it.
and i helped 3 newbs to proceed to coil 2.
Oh we all went in blind on this one. The diving was terrifying. And we took a break and I looked at this guide and we got it again on the first try. Coils was more of a whim tbh.
the coils used to be a challenge before heavensward, and before they decided to nerf them a little.
its been a good while now, though.
your guides are very effective , efficient and become our FC favourite when decided to tackle a raid (and/or new dungeon) , kudos to you !

Yes, i absolutely agree. Mr. Happy became my backup guide once I found this channel. Short, sweet, straight to the point, and no trash discussion like other vids. ***** I don't think the OP's comment was as much about him "having a boner," because it's a "girl's voice;" but more about this guide being clear, concise, and to the point, and him being appreciative.
Mr. Happy (while I like him and watch all his content) tends to go on and on. He also has be a bit entertaining, as he works with Curse and subs are important for someone in his position.
I understand your grievance when deviant comments are plastered all over a female CZcamsr's video; but, if you're going to attack someone, attack the guys who are "actually" acting like that. Don't attack someone for simply praising a content provider for their work. It makes no sense. I mean nothing personal towards you; but I hope you understand where I'm coming from.
I'm a guy too, and I prefer this guide for the reasons I listed above. I'm certainly not coming here because it's a "girl's voice." If I need something to get myself off to, there is porn for that. I respect any legit female content provider here, as much as I would a legit male content provider. Not all of us have ill intent behind our praise of the opposite gender, I assure you.
PyrofrostTheJRPGamer Yeah, it's not at all about her voice in this it's just that she explains everything in as few words as possible while making it very clear. She's working from a great script and reads it clearly. The video is very clear, too, showing the important things twice just to make sure they're conveyed properly.
***** it only drags as he never cuts his videos short anymore. he wants people to watch everything and covers all the details throughout the entire fight. also he prefers being able to show you the realistic timings of the fight.
Disjointed random comments in 30 min videos that never show relavent footage...plus he shows things from a bards point of view which I don't think is very good at showing the fight anyway

Haven't progressed as fast as HC gamers since I'm married with 2 careers, but after gearing above 85 I finally feel now ready for T5 w/o TS. I have a feeling Mr Happy doesn't script his videos, because he goes on LOOOOOOOOONG ass tangents.
Mizzteq sums things up much more simply and efficiently, she says in one paragraph what Mr Happy says in an entire thesis. It makes the fights a lot more easy to understand.

I remember doing this and finishing it when it was still hard and people were flocking to do it. It didn't take me long to finish it though, and I really love this fight.

One other way to do conflags is set up a "soak party" made up of off tank, SMN and SCH egi's on the left side on twin
Whoever gets Fireball runs to the soak team to make it easier on the healers.
It also means everyone on the right side can spread out a bit more making it easier to see who has the blue conflag circle above their head.

Part of what I love about your videos is the calming music and voicework, as well as the smooth pacing. Combined with a simple and effective explanation, it really makes the fights seem more manageable. I have a question though! My group has been trying to down Twin, and we're stuck on the snakes. We haven't managed to kill Asclepius yet before Twin comes back down, and the tanks might be taking too many debuffs. I noticed that you stagger the debuff on Asclepius by killing the two snakes early -- how does this affect the second set of snakes? If I remember correctly the debuff stacks on Asc., so killing them at the same time would make each GCD more effective. It feels like you would prefer that in a DPS race. But as a healer, having two less snakes around would make the second set much more manageable. I guess what I'm asking is, what made your group switch to killing the two snakes right away instead of all at once later?
We had the same problem before we switched to staggering the add kills. By waiting for all four adds to spawn, you're doing 0 bonus damage to Asclepius in that time and by the time the 4th debuff goes up, Asclepius is only at about 85%-90% (depending on your overall raid damage) - seems a little like a waste of precious time, no?
Switching to the staggered method, we apply 1 debuff to Asclepius almost immediately, giving us a boost on him from the very beginning. You just have to be VERY careful not to let his debuff fall off. By the time the last two add spawns, Asclepius should already be down to 60-70%...and once the 4th debuff you should only have about 50% of his life left to kill - plenty of time to get him down before Twin returns!
Staggering also allows your tanks and melee the opportunity to dodge the explosions - if you get hit by one or two explosions you'll still live, but if you misjudge all 4 explosions and end up with 4 debuffs at her ultimate, you will die. It takes a little more brainpower/coordination to stagger the kills but overall we found it MUCH EASIER to deal with Asclepius in the end :) Hope this helps! GL

My FC raid group attempted this the other week and failed at the snakes, Asclepius was the part that they got stuck with. So I found this video and shared it with them. We're going to attempt it again sometime this week and I hope to god it bloody works.
The only part that worries me at this point is the LH's on phase 5 as some of our team members can't dodge at all or are too slow to react so by the time they do they get hit.
So fingers crossed for this one
Hello, player from future - the fight is still extremely hard, especially the bomb phase - but just keep practicing.. i think we did it on like 14 pulls, also with our bigger number, dont be suprised if you kill snakes too fast, just heal it up, and go hide into puddles - it will take around 10-25 seconds for the boss to land, after that dont forget to move immediately until he cast twister

Ahh, back in the day when breaking 1K damage on a single ability was impressive. Heh, whenever the Duty Roulette puts me into ARR content, I always think to myself, "Man, seven years ago people would've absolutely lost their minds, seeing the kind of damage I'm doing." LOL
That summoner must hate Garuda to have her get punted by dive bombs each time. Someone pls report them for Egi cruelty. Also, no jokes or puns in this vid? Turn 5 must be serious business.
if Garuda is getting hit by divebombs, there are more serious problems than that.

If you are OT and liquid hell drops on you in the last phase just stay there and rotate CDs I got hit by me and just chilled underneath
Also if you focus target on twintania at the beginning of the fight, when she flys into the air it will disappear but will reappear when she starts her dive bomb
Another tell to help if the dive bombs are your problem
Ok, so after basically going through this guide like the upteenth time now, I can beat every mechanic but the damn knight. I'm trying to solo all the coils for completions sake since literally no one ques for Coils anymore, I'm not kidding, I let my char stay in que, then dozed off, woke up 4 hours later, char was still in que. So good so far, but I can't kill the knight if it stuns me, I really hate these mechanics that are a sure kill unless you have another person with you.

A lot of confusion during dive-bomb phase (at least in EU) is due to latency. Basically people know what to do, but they hesitate--and stop, as I first did, when they see they're the only one moving. But this is entirely normal due to animation lag! If you're moving at the same time as others, you're actually too late! So feel confident the next when you're the only one moving first.

Hi I enjoy the way you do your guids and think they are great for people that are about to do that specific content or are struggling with it. So I though of giving few things that I noticed in my t5 kills that may turn out to be hanndy for people trying to clear twin. First you said there is no indication on liquid hell of the 3 adds well that's not quit true you got the cast bar and they turn to there target(at least they used to before the last small pach) second the dregd/twister phase drege only targets 3-8 person in the agro list so nr1 and nr2 will not get locked in by dregnikhts often MT and OT(unles off tank dies and a dps becomes nr 2 then it has to be carefull) next the IMPORTANT part that not manny people know of or care to notice there actually is the fact that there is a VISUAL indicator of when dredknights will come and that is twin making a head movment (she puts her head down then looks at the ceiling(up)) I play MNK and once I noticed that visual indicator it helped me to predict the dregnights spawns and it's enough time for me to run away for when he pops and get into position to burst him without losing my stacks.
LONG story short: liquids hell got a cast bar and offten turn to the target it hits, drege can not target nr1 and nr2 in agro list, there is a animation visual quo to when a dregknight will spawn.
Holy shit. Here I was thinking, I'll just ran around and heal like I usually do. I guess not. Fuck me... Know wonder the group I tried to do it with last night was saying, "watch some videos" and disbanded.
SE: Oh yeah we recommend you doing our old quest no one's going to do before 6.0!

I have a unique situation. I have an inherent issue of having both tunnel vision and a lack of depth perception playing Realm Reborn which has often gotten me killed either the most or the only death in a boss duel that I get into. This proved true in my own YT playthrough of A Realm Reborn and when I had my first try at Turn 5. I got outted due to my aforementioned inherent tunnel vision and lack of depth perception. Because if it, I always got caught in Conflagration and thus far, I have never gotten past Phase 2. Is there any advice that you could offer as a way for me to minimize my own personal situation?
Actually, I have to wonder...were divebombs modified in a patch or something? When I did this fight, ti would appear the divebomb usually happened from the centre, not the edge, hitting everyone in the process. Were we using the wrong pit? It was the one closest to the entrance...
so much to remember, my brain hurts thinking about it :s

Coming from 2020 and Blue Mage stuff, it’s honestly hard to believe how hard stuff other than Twisters and maybe Dreadknights were. Gear scaling really didn’t do this fight any favors either, if you go in without minimum ilvl and are a semi-competent group, you can kill her in like 5 minutes or less.
Min ilvl is the bare minimum (lol) to experience the fights properly. This is because Shadowbringers buffed everyone's damage output greatly, so earlier content was indirectly and universally nerfed.
This might be moot because i want to try it soon, easier to go through as a SCH healer or a Bard DPS?
Attempted this just tonight...I can see why many really hate it.
A couple of points. Great video and you have a great voice; I like listening to you in your videos. As for turn 5 your strategy is valid; but it's not used. Have you thought to redo the video with the new strategy? At the dive-bombs/snake phase, we been focus our attention only on Asclepius and patiently wait until the second wave of dive-bombs. When this happen OT gets the other snake adds. Both MT and OT simultaneously brings the their snakes to the center arena and use LB to kill the snake adds. After LB, if done correctly, Asclepius is almost dead and the group is on to the last phase. A very quick fight @ 10-minutes.
fianally cleared T5 on Min Ilvl and no ehco after 6 days of wiping
So fcking hard without a good team :(
And having bad accuracy lol my BLM has that problem right now trying to get my acc to the cap for t5 before I attempt this again

I just started playing ffxiv. I'm almost trough the main quest story of ARR and it's been a lot of fun. I'm guessing this is the first raid you unlock after completing ARR MSQ?. And i have to say it is very overwhelming. I feel like i'll never be able to not mess up these raids :s
