  • WI V. DAHMER (1992) - Milwaukee police Officer Joseph Gabrish & Lt. Kenneth Meuler take the stand. Joseph Gabrish and John Balcerzak were the two Milwaukee police officers who handed a naked, bleeding Konerak Sinthasomphone, 14, over to serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer.
Dahmer’s neighbor Glenda Cleveland, and other witnesses at the scene tried to stop them. Sinthasomphone was murdered by Dahmer shortly thereafter.

As for the truth about Konerak that night the answer is simple. They did not CARE for it. Arrogance & incompetence is what those type of cops are fueled by. For them to actually show a lick of concern of the welfare of the "asian male" who be just too much of an ask. They wouldn't even listen to the women who told those cops that she had more information about what was going on... basically he just "shoed & shushed" her away .Unfortunately this arrogance & incompetence led directly to the demise of Konerak ... or the "asian male. I do hope that young Konerak's soul and the memory of it haunts those guys for all of their days. No Excuses. Poor Police work. Even poorer human work. I hate to candy coat it.

unfortunately, i doubt it. it’s been 31 years since jeffery was arrested, and 30 years since his murders went to trial. these officers have likely retired by this point, and even if they have gone on to live with the guilt of what they’ve done, it would be unlikely that there is anything that the american justice system can do to bring these men to justice. they’ve both likely lived a life of privilege as officers.
if you want to do something, support the families of the victims by NOT watching the new netflix documentary, because one of the families-the isbells-have come out against it for its reenactment of rita isbell’s emotional breakdown in court. there are so many other documentaries about dahmer that you can watch that do not reenact the horrible crimes he committed or the aftermath of them, and other documentaries that have the blessings of families of the victims.

It was actually Glenda's niece, Nicole Childress, who saw Konerak fleeing from the building, bloodied and bruised, which she explains in this interview. While waiting for the police, Dahmer approached her, and whent he officers arrived, they never asked Childress for any details of what had occurred, instead focusing on Dahmer. While they were asking questions, Childress went to get Cleveland, but when they came back, everyone was gone. We know that tragically, Konerak was murdered by Dahmer not long after this. Dhamer was sloppy! His murderous ways were so frequent it could not be contained with what he did with the bodies and the need to keep them.

But If they would have arrested Dahmer on the basis of the investigation they did do, THEY would have been breaking the law....there was no probable cause.
That is why they got their jobs back.
Dahmer DUPED them, just liked he duped other police, a judge, his parole officer, his family, his victims...
Do people really expect these police to have thought that in the house there were dead body parts, severed heads in fridges, etc.? No one would expect that!
They simply thought it was 2 extremely drunk lovers who got into a quarrel and Dahmer provided evidence that they were a couple. They looked into his room and saw nothing. There was no evidence of the young child being hurt except for a small knee injury. How were they to know he was drilled in the head? Or do people walk around a lot with holes drilled in their heads?
If the police are too intrusive, then everyone says they are overstepping the line and infringing on our rights.
Instead of blaming the police, blame Dahmer for causing all of this.

Could you imagine being drugged, a hole drilled into your skull by a serial killer. But you somehow manage to escape & even get the police to come. You can't speak & clearly need help, but the officers let the killer carry you back into the place you were just violated, & he finishes killing you.
I'm absolutely dumbfounded as to why & how this was able to happen! Disgusted isn't even remotely close to the feelings I feel right now.
That poor 14 yr old boy was almost out of it, & these incompetent so called officers, simply places him back into the place where he would take his last breath. What the actual FAWK!!!???

This guy was just a waste, they saw a white man, believed what he said and turned Konerack back over to the monster. Konerack had no pubic hairs , yet he thought he was a 19 or 20 year old man Tina told me he had NO HAIR on his genitals, and threatened to arrest her if she didn't move around. Couldn't stand this dude
