"I fucking like weird movies. I like slow burn. This is the kinda thing where it's a no burn movie, it just goes. And it's not burning.... nothing is happening"
-Alex
😂🤣
if you havent seen it, look up 'the lost highway' i still cant understand it lol, great flick
Summed it up well
BEYOND ACCURATE
Its so boring. So so so boring.. the reveal was a nice effect but its so slow.. its so boring and then you get 5 minutes of story
I agree with him even though I liked the movie. These movies heavily depend on their characters and atmosphere. Luckily both were incredibly good. The lamb reveal was a bit disturbing, but man, I was thankful for the skip button.
I think OJ and Alex need their scores put up overlayed on the screen as well. Theyve earned it
I think it's too soon.
@@f.miller801 objection
whos OG. do you mean OJ
I watch these mainly for Alex. I think Joe is a bit of a narcissist.
@@SharpsPanda then you should definitely stop watching it then.
I think Alex was SO pissed at how the spaghetti was prepared, that it just ruined the rest of the film for him.
Now that spaghetti scene would make a really good Italian horror movie
Yeah, he is completely racist
@@moscowvicent831 lol have you watched the TikTok of Italians reacting to people breaking pasta? LOL its pretty funny its kinda like Alex reaction LOL

Only time it’s acceptable to break is for smaller kids. Then it’s a bit fancier than spaghetti O’s 😂😂. But yeah if you’re an adult. FOR SHAME!!
I love how the more movies they've reviewed the more there personalities have come through. It's so nice that they can disagree with each other honestly and not all have the same opinion
Yeah, at the beginning AJ tried to always agree with Joe and Joe tried to pressure him into agreeing with him, but he's evolved into an independent thinker.
Alex is a huge racist
Their* personalities.

17:56 don't think that was a dream sequence. I think he really took the lamb out early in the morning, aimed the gun at her and then changed his mind, decided it's a kid and not an animal. Then hey got back home and fell asleep together and the mom found them like that.
The cat is alive at the end ! Very obviously alive, sitting in a field wondering what the hell is happening. The dog dies defending Ada from her father, otherwise he would have taken her that night, a heroic death.
First Pig, now Lamb. Can't wait for Cow - THATS gonna be epic af! Don't even get me started on Horse, wow...

Honestly Alex seems to give the best review and unbiased thoughts on movies. He always seems to be the one I agree with most of the time.
A lot of people love and hate him
Alex is amazing , he rips everything to shreds, is soo good 😃
No holds baaed amirite? 🐑
I think the fault comes down to the advertising. They shouldn't have said this was a horror. I would of still seen this if it was said drama or idk what this could be haha
The legends say every second Alex talks, Joe's skin turns pinker per second.
😂😂😂
So if Alex were to read his college thesis on manscaping and beard grooming, Joe would essentially turn into Nintendo's Kirby?
It's not a legend tho, it's a well known common fact amongst thousands of us.
His whole demeanor changes and it's such obvious annoyance 😂😂😂
That's true.
The Final Verdict should have all 3 verdicts, not just Joe, when it comes to games and movies I actually prefer Alex's opinion personally
You'd never watch a movie ever again if you just listened to Alex. He literally doesn't like anything

I can't get enough of these movie reviews. Really keeps me entertained while the game reviews are more scarce these days

Does Han Solo's son kill him ?
I know the show is named after him, but I think the rating all 3 of them give should be taken into account instead of Joe’s being the only one that matters. An average of all 3 of the ratings if you will. Just a thought
Did you not fucking hear their rating? Wth you need to see it for?
@@KillerBee300 let me reiterate the point since you seemed to have missed it. The fact Joe is the only one who gets his rating shown gives the impression his rating is the only one that matters and thus the 'final' rating. While showing Alex and OJs rating alongside it would help give other opinion. I kind of disagree with a average since if one disagrees hard it can drag down the rating or raise up the rating.
It isn't named after him LOL. It is his show, and always has been. If OJ and Alex did not matter, then Angry Joe would not bother asking them for their thoughts and opinions.
Moreover, he wouldn't have anyone else on his show to begin with. The show is better with all three of them, but there is a fine line.
@@KillerBee300 Are you okay? Do you need a hug? Consider sitting down and talking to someone because you have issues.
@@Maxrepfitgm The fuck is up with you? Tell me what in my last comment came to your weird ass conclusion? Literally all 3 of them gave their separate scores so if you want to make the average score do the math or you can just follow whoever score you believe in because you know each one of them gave a score.
God bless Alex. That spaghetti rant 10/10.
Damn guys, you need to see Tim Roth's directorial debut from years ago. It's called The War Zone. I watched it high, with popcorns. Oh boy, was I at the wrong place, at the wrong time...
@ 18:00, That was definitely not a dream sequence. He clearly just changed his mind. One scene he's degrading Ada, saying, "It's an animal, not a child." Then after taking her out to be shot, he has a change of heart. And falls asleep with her in his arms.
"I think it was very well shot, I liked the music, I liked the acting but I think this is one of the worst films I've seen in a very long time."
...lol
AKA the story SUX
15:20 They didn't have sex, that sheep was already pregnant (my grandparents had a farm). He did something to her, maybe magic, to change the fetus inside.
I find this movie disappointing. I knew the ending was going to suck because they over extended the plot.
I don't know why it was called a horror film, I'm still waiting the horror tho.
It’s kind of annoying knowing the potential they had to create a very sinister movie with more lore and/or interesting plot. They had a chance to take multiple directions and turn it into a very suspenseful story but instead they just made a movie about a monster banging a sheep having a sheep/human baby then shooting the Man and taking the child back and leaving. Like a kid probably wrote that
We must protect Alex at all cost haha he's so genuine in his thoughts.
I think he doesn't need any protection lol
I like OJ, but he tends to not go against Joe too heavily. His reviews are kinda reiterating what other people have said. Alex though has no problem vehemently going against Angry Joe, and I think that dynamic is what gets me to watch. No Alex, then it becomes like watching a husband and his submissive partner review movies.

Suprised they skipped Green Knight and saw Lamb. Green Knight is one of the best a24 movies to me, and is a big highlight for this type of movie style.
Damn right it is...
Was literally thinking that when I saw this review pop up. Green Knight was amazing, definitely not for everyone tho, would have been interesting to see their opinion
The green knight was terrible and boring, it was just Dev Patel trekking along disgusting, muddy, miserable landscapes for 2 hours just to meet teenage Treebeard. The plot was literally this, Treebeard Jr tells Knights whatever wound they give him, he’ll return the blow. Gawain, being an absolute dipshit, instead hacks Treebeard Jr’s head off. One year later, Treebeard Jr (maybe) chops off dipshits head . All this unfolds over 2 painfully slow hours over miserable landscapes, pretentious garbage.
One of the most boring movies ever so many useless scenes like the giant scene
@@jin-pu2sh read the poem, you’ll enjoy it more
It should not have been martketed as a horror movie. They knew they’d make more money on it this time of year. This is the last A24 movie I will see opening weekend.
I saw this at Karlovy Vary film festival in Czechia. It ended abruptly which I didn’t like but otherwise the film was artistic and original. Pretty damn good. NOT a horror film. More of a weird mystery
I feel as if horror films have dove to deep into the subjective art of directing. Instead of making a relatable character, and putting them into unknown/supernatural and suspenseful suations. There is just body horror and great cinematic shoots, that take up way to much time
Alot of indie horror is slower and more cerebral. If you want traditional horror watch traditional horror movies
@@jolanjakers8380 well that's a very foolish statement and tbh this movie is not very cerebral because there was "no mystery, no solution, and if you consider just questioning and unresolved ending as cerebral well that's just simply lazy from an artistic form unless you're relying all the art on the visuals referring to fancy camera quality with amplified shots of what was supposed to be suspenseful but failed to accomplish as well.
@@rulersofcithog no I consider this movie cerebral because what I would call the top layer. The layer plainly obvious to the viewer doesn't really offer answers. All the mystery and questions go to the second layer the layer hidden behidn subtly, symbolism and metaphor. Do you not wonder about the weird dream ram dreams. The way characters go from wtf is this half lamb thing to oh this is my daughter and the father who is he is he a Demon?
Joe: …this represents nature…
Alex: I wouldn’t call a giant man ram…nature
Me: has Alex ever heard of myths, legends & fairytales. To many ancient humans & dead-religions nature was personified with the supernatural. Early people saw beings & magical creatures as real extensions of the natural world. So yeah….giant man ram is totally nature, comin to kick ass. 🤣
The ending means nothing because they had no clue where ending was going so they just kind of shove some artistic bullshit in there.
lol
Quote from the creators:
What should we take away from the ending?
“I think everyone should decide for themselves,” said Jóhannsson.
“It was interesting, when we shot that ending we didn’t really decide what was going to happen,” said Rapace. “I came running up that hill ... and then we did various shots and takes. For me, I think it’s that life is beautiful somehow. Our willpower and our determination to stand up again and to keep on going is so strong and I think that for me in a strange way there’s hope in the ending. A painful hope.”

Ye ngl this movie is pretty good.
It's a good film
You guys should definitely do a review of Midnight Mass, that show is fuckin’ awesome!
I watched that and it was such a slow build up to something I called in the beginning………you know how the ending was. I’d still give it a 8/10, mainly because it was so much religious stuff in it and it’s slow build but I was satisfied with the ending. I probably would have liked it more as a book. Maybe there is a book but I already watched the show lol.
And the upcoming Night Teeth on Netflix :)
With our luck, we will have to wait for the whole world to see it that way Joe can make a late review again 🤣🤣
It’s alright. The religion and slow build up wasn’t for me. But the brief scares and what not the first half was intriguing. However, when the reveal came out, it was just another V movie.. to each their own.
I predicted the twist but the way it was executed made it worth it regardless. Personally I enjoyed hill house more but this is a close 2nd.

I really like that you say good acting. Hilmir Snær (the husband) is widely regarded as one of our best actors. Good to hear he got respect from you guys.
AJ: I like this movie
Alex and OJ: were going to end this man's whole career.
OJ has been hard on movies lately, it's funny.
OJ living with Alex & his mom has been a bad influence.
When the final for Joe was a 7, Alex’s reaction was priceless. The level of condescension oozing out of Joe, because the film is “open to interpretation” and he gets it, is making me laugh so hard.
Great performances by the sheep, the dog and hell even that creepy ass cat. Bravo
How is this not a horror film? It was horrific. Horror movies don't have to be scary, they have to be horrific. That being said this is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen.
Literally my thoughts, movie was a waste of time, there was no build up, things just happen. It really took someone dying for me to be invested, and then the movie ended
From the trailer, it looked like a similar feel to the movie AntiChrist by Lars Von Trier.

@@GrandpaBarret well yeh, there’s three of them… in that sense someone’s always going to be ‘copying’ someone else as to whether they thought it was good or bad. It’s an odd number and there are only 2 sides 😂

It's a drama/horror film not a thriller and i do agree that horror elements were really downplayed and the third act and ending were unsatisfying but it's a good film.
A film praising the baphomet, training you to accept hybrids.

True. Evil
I watched this movie the other day and honestly you ruin the experience by going into it with expectations. Watching the movie as it is, it’s honestly simple yet intriguing. The atmosphere is there and you’re captivated, but I found myself getting scared unnecessarily at certain parts (especially towards the reveal of ram daddy) so I can see how it can be hard to understand or be interested in lol
I used to have dreams about goat people at my grandpa’s house so I was very intrigued by this movie, I honestly thought it was great, definitely not made for everything tho
@@steektete yes
:) "It isn't all black and white" OJ: "It's all white. The Sheep." LOL! Loved the varied opinions and conflict going on between what you *actually watched* here! From that mix I'm like: So why even make a story where there's an anomaly - in Lambs?! I feel that woman is in an asylum for the insane? Metaphors? Winter and barren landscape is white padded walls! She's confined in a cell for the insane, and well, coping, badly? Alex, hilarious, but clear on the details ;D OJ: "We get that. We just didn't like it!" Great review guys!
I appreciated this film on a technical level and on a character level it's just they didn't push it in the end, maybe that was the point but overall I liked it. Definitely reminded me of an earlier film this year called The Killing of Two Lovers which is far superior at not being a thriller but ends up being one based on the subject matter at hand. Lamb just tried to lean too hard into being off-kilter and having the guise of being a thriller/horror when it's really not. Will say for a directorial debut this was impressive and am curious to see what Valdimar does next.
that honestly is the killer of most movies these days, too many directors play it safe, and don't push the boundaries. So the story ends up suffering for it.
I really liked that they had differing opinions tbh. It gives different reference points when considering a viewing.
I love when you guys disagree and show the different points of view you have with movies, keep it up!
The final verdict should be an average score based on all 3 of your guy's scores.
Huh. Well the marketing is certainly presenting it as another Hereditary or Middsommer.
I think I'm more inclined to believe Alex's warnings than anything. Plus A24 has let me down before.
My trust goes to average score of OJ & Alex. AJ score is pretty pointless to me.
Keep up the great stuff AJS!
I'm five minutes into this review and I must say that Joe is either very easy to scare, or the guy on the far left doesn't consider something a horror film unless its gory and predictable. Haven't seen it, so I can't make judgements for myself.
@@duumzday It sounds to me like it seeks to tap into a subtler form of fear, the kind you don't expect and expect less to understand. I just read that the creator never thought of it as a horror film, but honestly after seeing some scenes and reading a synopsis, I think he's just milking it, no way he didn't think that would frighten some people.
I...KEEP...GETTING..ADS! I don't want to watch a story about a lamb that got violated and created a lamb-human hybrid!?!!?
Bro joes hopes for the beginning of the film crack me up 😂😂 “Demons, Satan visits….” Idk why that cracked me up
From what I've seen, it really reminds me of the amazing film "Witch" from a few years back.
3:14 That moment when you start to wonder what this movie would've been like if it was a comedy.
I felt like the ending made the whole film irrelevant. With that ending, you could have cut everything after the lamb was born and it would be no different in terms of story arc. I was feeling a 7 up to that point. Now its a 6. Still competent and engaging, but ultimately collapses.
Oddly I can agree with all three of these opinions. Weird film. Beautiful scenery though. Half expected to see Norman Reedus carrying packages in the background.
Alex hits the nail on the head with his review. Very articulate guy.
nah, he’s shallow af.
@ZarathrustaTate these dudes have adhd... they need to go out and live on a farm.
I got an ad for the movie while watching your video. 😹 instead of copyright striking you, they should be paying you more money to do these reviews.
Love the nod to that crazy New Zealand dark comedy - Black Sheep. I didn't know what I was missing in life until I saw a were-sheep.
Hereditary if you understand the spiritual aspect and what was really happening and the background is absolutely horrifying, so this is merely perceptive
5 mins of rambling by joe and not once did you say what the hell the film was about.
I think they made the Lamb Child a bit too whimsical and less disturbing than it should have been. It made the film lose its horror element towards the end. The ending itself also felt pretty lackluster and abrupt. I think they should have left more up to the imagination; it would have been more disturbing that way.
You guys are funny.. i appreciate joe trying to find the gold nuggets in the turd too
This was more of a psychologically disturbing horror film . You have an idea of what maybe happened that sticks with you until the finale moments of the film. I enjoyed the what the fuck is going on feeling as much as I was disturbed around the ideas that sprouted every so often with subtle details from the expressions given from the characters. Very original film , can’t believe it took 9years to make though.
Love when you guys disagree, it's interesting to see different perspectives on the movies you watch. 😆👍
I think Joe is trying to make more out if this movie than what it is; Alex makes sense. It's a film with an intriguing premise on the surface, enough to keep your interest for 5 minutes.
This is so often the kind of movie that wins festivals that if I see ANY movie with that cursed palme d'or symbol I immediately give up watching it!!!
THE ENDING MADE ME “ AW HEYELL NAW” LOUDER THAN STEVE HARVEY EVER EVER COULD … maaaaaaannnnnn I want my 2 hrs back so bad I’ll sue for it

I agree with Joe. Don't watch this as you would a movie, but rather admire it for the strange work of art that it is. 10/10 from me, IGN would approve.

A tourist walks into a small pub in Scotland and goes up to the bar and orders a pint.
He takes a look around and sees a lonely looking man sitting in the back by himself.
He asks the bartender what that guy's story is and the the bartender says "him", you need to ask him yourself.
He walks back to the old man, says hello and asks who he is and why he's alone.
The old man says I used to be every one's friend and did great things for the Village.
He says you see that church over there? I built that with these two hands, but do they call me Shamus the Church builder? No.
Did you see the school at the center of town. I worked hard building that up, but do they call me Shamus the school builder? No.

With how Alex described the film I got worried for a second it was directed by Kelly Reichardt. If you ever want to see a "No burn" movie just check out her film "First Cow." It's frustratingly monotonous.
Probably taking Joes word on this one though. I also like slow artsy films and despised Climax.
