    Brilliant mind and prophet... God forgive me because i didnt see value of this man while he was Pope. I listened to stupid medias while they were mocking him as conservative as something old and bad, i was foolish, my knowledge and faith were weak. When he resigned i started to read his books and discovered how great this man is. Thank you for giving him to us, what a gift!

    • @musiclover148
      @musiclover148 Před 6 lety +3

      The current pontiff receives plaudits from secular critics of the Catholic church and from liberal dissenters within the church. That fact alone might present enough reason to look at him suspiciously. On the other hand, such observers sometimes misconstrue things Francis says, but doesn't quite mean, and then run off half-cocked with breathless stories about a pope with whom non-Christians can finally feel comfortable. Then again, the vigilant faithful sometimes attack him unfairly, before they analyze the meaning and intent his statements had in context. To make a long story shorter, I hesitate to overgeneralize about the pope, since I find it difficult to get an accurate read on him. He brings this controversy on himself, however, because the man does not think or speak coherently. Perhaps his leftist worldview and politics have addled his brain. My greatest concern is that he has surrounded himself with a Curia and other advisors who all think alike and who take their cues from the attitudes and values of atheist European culture and media, as well as from globalist elites. I believe they would feel more at home with a godless, Bible-disdaining university professor or a Jew-hating Muslim than they would with a solid, traditional, mass-attending communicant of the church in the American Midwest or the Philippines. As an outsider and non-expert on the Vatican, I want to stay cautious and don't want to offend folks who adore this pontiff, who is likely a dear man in some respects. Still, I listen skeptically to whatever he and his aides say. If he isn't a moral fool, he does a good impression of one.

    • @musiclover148
      @musiclover148 Před 5 lety +1

      God's Word says, "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." It does not say, "If you are received by men into a particular institution, you will be saved." The Holy Spirit, speaking through John the Apostle, also says, "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah has become a child of God." He does not say, "Everyone who is baptized into the Pope's church has become a child of God." The Scripture continues, "And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God's Son does not have life." Again, notice that Scripture does not say, "He has given us eternal life, and this life is in His earthly, institutional church. Whoever enlists in His earthly church has life; whoever does not enlist in His earthly church does not have life." The Church, the body of Christ, is taught in the Bible to be made up of those redeemed souls for whom Christ gave His life as a ransom and atonement, who place their trust in His finished, saving work and who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Bid, one of your own great saints - St. Jerome - said, "Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ." I could go on and on, proving my contention just from the verses I know by heart. Followers of the church headquartered in the Vatican may or may not be born-again members of God's family, depending on their relationship with God through Christ. Many are, I have no doubt. However, they definitely do not comprise the Church, exclusively.

      Music Lover that is protestant B.S. Crap put out by Luther to justify heresy. What Christ clearly told us. is: Tu est Petrus et Hanc Petram Edificabo Ecclesia Meum. He also said: Hanc est Corpus Meum. Outside the One True Church there is no connection to Christ and no salvation ---- so you remain a protestant you risk the same fate as all the pagans and atheists before you.

    To me pope Benedict XVI is one of the great liberal theologian pope with strong conservative catholicism views, prefect for the congregation of faith, but the great deadly mistake he did is to step down, when God appoints you to do his mission it has to be undertaken and there is no way you can abandon, retreat or escape from it, have a look at Yona, so far when Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross he asked God if possible that cup of suffering to avoid him after overwhelming passion & agony unfortunately it couldn’t be until when the job done, likewise Benedict regardless of the complex situation he was going through, he was not supposed to resign unless health problem was a genuine reason for his resignation!. Otherwise he is a great pope whom I admire most!.

    Reading this makes his stepping down more inexplicable . He's definitely prophetic . In 1969 he was saying that the church of the political cult which we have today was already dead ; so i guess you could say if you believe his words that we have a kind of kabuki church until the Church is renewed with this new spirit he points to .

      @PatrickStPaul-sw9op Před 6 lety

      On June 18, 1968, Bp. Giovanni Battista Montini - then the head of the Vatican II Sect and known as “Pope” Paul VI - signed an “apostolic constitution” to change the Roman Catholic rite of ordination. These changes touched not only some of the more peripheral ceremonies but the very substance of the sacrament itself. The very words which Pope Pius XII, in 1947, had definitively decreed were necessary for the validity of the sacrament of holy orders, were changed by Paul VI in such a way as to render the ordination of priests doubtful and the consecration of bishops definitely invalid.
      So Ratzinger was never a bishop or cardinal after 1969 either.

    Im thinking the same exact thing about the church being started anew although it might become small because of the secularism but it will be much much much or many times more solid than the previous one in which it is run politically, but the church will become much more spiritual and the faith will ever become deeper. Its during those times that when you look at the church, it will become love and it will become a home. Its hard to explain cause im not a scholar by any means or something. But what Papst Bednedikt xvi said does make sense with the way things are going on right now. Soooo no need to be afraid, for it Jesus Sacred heart that will triumph in the end alongside with the immaculate heart of Mary. Viva Cristo Rey!

    It is "unbelievable" our just he was. We are living those days.
    I'm seeing churches there and there, as one near my home, priests getting older, the edifice (the church) as well, exterior walls falling apart. Promoters Buyers who want to buy for the land, meaning destroying the church, under the pretext that it would cost 5 millions to rebuilt or "secure" the edifice.
    On the other side, "freedom" taking places of the enrichment of the "Faith"...
    "Pope Benedict" had a vision, a prophecy. This is what we're living today. Such prophecy is in line with, "living in the Holy Spirit".
    We have to pray through the easiness of today to not loose our Faith, our desire of God, our heritage, our Catholic knowledge.
    God bless!

I remember reading an excerpt from one of the first books of his that I read, that spoke of the “...Smaller but more devout Church of the future...)Paraphrase), and found it most compelling even then. Clearly he is a Prophet in our times, as much maligned as the Prophets of old. I have always loved him dearly. There was such a deep peace I always felt while reading him-and I am what might be called a “voracious reader.” At least that is what I’m told. May God keep him with us for a while longer. And then may he be given the Heavenly crown he deserves. Thanks Patrick.

    "Undoubtedly, the Church will discover new forms of ministry and will ordain to the priesthood approved Christians who pursue some profession. In many smaller congregations or in many self-contained social groups, pastoral care will normally be provided in this fashion.
    Alongside this, the full-time ministry of the priesthood will be indispensible as formerly. But in all of the changes at which one might guess, the Church will find her essence afresh and with full conviction in that which was always her center: faith in the triune God, in Jesus Christ, the Son of God made man."
    - Fr. Joseph Ratzinger (1969) on "approved Christians" (viri probati) ordained in "new forms of ministry" in the priesthood that serve "alongside this, the full-time ministry of the priesthood"
    Sounds like a 'part-time' married priesthood, the way 'part-time' permanent deacons serve while in a profession. A worker priest is someone who lives like the laity in their every day work, family, etc. And B16 did bring about married priests with the Ordinariate, a new form of ministry in the priesthood. Viri Probati in the Amazon will most likely be next.
    I blog more of this, aligned with the Magisterium, at www.MarriedRomanCatholicPriesthood.blogspot.com

I saw enemy planes overhead, civil war, aliens that are really demons (told to pray) and saw myself in prison waiting for guillotine. Churches are fasting and praying. Trump has given us a window of peace through the grace of God. Catholics must be onward Christian soldiers holding our Rosaries and be ready for living out the book of Revelation. Our faith may be tested. I believe in the power of prayer and the love of God.

      @Collins Anosike, these religions recognize Abraham, but that does not mean they are the same religion. Catholics understand that truth matters and attributing false revelation from God is heresy and a serious offense. Islam and Judaism falsely believe there is spiritual benefit from having a physical connection to Abraham. Catholics believe that through Holy communion we are connected to God. Catholics believe this connection, if rejected, excludes one from eternal salvation.

Like those brilliant examples of Christian perfection and wisdom to whom We have just referred, he seemed to have been sent especially by God to contend against the heresies begotten by the [Protestant] Reformation. It is in these heresies that we discover the beginnings of that apostasy of mankind from the Church, the sad and disastrous effects of which are deplored, even to the present hour, by every fair mind.”
