- #192. The BIGGEST Shift For RESIN ART!... A Video by Daniel Cooper
Here is a Resin Art video which I think changes a lot for resin art! I know this can be done with nail polish but I have never seen it done in this way with UV Resin and would ultimately be much cheaper than nail polish in the long run!
You could potentially pre make any color and store away for future use, again, this is still in the experimental phase, I will make some and store it away to see if it is 100% usable after storage, I can't see why it would not work! THIS IS EPIC!!!
Please do NOT experiment with products which may be dangerous if mixed with resin!

Again, this isn't about the flower, it's about the resin 😊 I know this has been done with Nail Polish but not like this 😊
Also I was thinking that when we need a domming resin, we could make it thicker by adding the glue. Awesome sauce!
@@Ali-H3444 Everyone is guessing my next planned vids on this 🙈😂 I taught you all well 😂🤣
@daniel..cooper lol 😆 yes you have Daniel ❤️ it was nice to see your face this time. I just love your personality and your God given artistic talent and ingenuity.
@@Ali-H3444 Thanks so much 🥰🥰
I AGREE WITH @Ali-H3444, all the way!
Daniel, it was great seeing you in this video instead of just hearing your voice. You are the mad scientist of the resin world. This was amazing.
Wow, thank you! 😊
Amazing! You are definitely the resin king! Can you imagine a tree of life done this way? Awesome! 👍☺️🇬🇧
Thanks Sue 😊 Could make lots with this 😊
“It’s not my kind of thing, dipping resin, but… it could be now.” 💕😊 Thank you, this experiment was _absolutely fantastic!_
You are so welcome! Thanks so much 😊
I need to try this with the jewelry I make. This is a huge difference in my jewelry designs.
Not…….”this is totally not my thing. I don’t know what I am doing.” Who speaks the untruth sir? You 🫵🏽 because you are creatively amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Whoa, I’ve always wanted to try dipping resin. Incredible discovery…. using a micro dot of clear Elmer’s changed uv resin into a dipping resin. Daniel you are brilliant. Thank you for sharing your finds 💛🧡❤️🤍🤎
Thanks Maddie 😊 pretty amazing what such a small dab can do 😊😊
Does it have to be clear? Can you use regular too?
You're a friggin genius ☺️!
Dan I just watched " pouring your heart out" and you were given credit for the lotion etching. I noticed some people mentioned you in the comments. Wonderful!
Thanks Lee 😊 Will have a look shortly 😊
If you get green florist tape, you can just wrap them all at once, then it won’t be so bulky. When using the tape you pull slightly on it and it becomes tacky and sticks to itself. Great idea.
Wow that was amazing! The saving of the pennies could be great, not having to have so many types of resin. Well done you!
Thank you 😊
My mind's off in the direction of miniature stained glass windows. Love what you've achieved here making dipping resin a much more attainable possibility with own supplies!! Thank you!! :)
Such a lovely little flower. It makes me happy.
Dipping resin is hard to come by (at least here in the US). You've just expanded the availability of this technique now!
Thank you 😊
I've never even heard of dipping resin. Definitely some cool possibilities here.
What an amazing accidental discovery
Cute
That’s amazing that glue worked that way. Mind blown.
How generous of you to share this ❤
My pleasure 😊
I used to do wire dipped flowers back in the 70's The dipping stuff was colored and came in metal cans the looked like pint sized paint cans. I think you can still buy the stuff from china. But i used to buy it at craft stores here in the US. You would take the wire shaped like petals and dipp it, then when dry and wrap the green tape around them and a large gauge wire for a stem. I used to make them for my mother. She loved how they looked.
I so love your childlike curiosity in working with this medium. And I love your little giggles as well! Not to mention how amazing your experiments turn out! You are "breaking the mold" in working with resin! Thank you!
You are so welcome! Thank you so much 🥰
Ive been trying to do this for months and nothing worked, but now, just a lil school glue and BAM! Theres a company that makes "Dipping Resin" but its $35 for about 6 fluid ounces (no thank you) Ive googled it and found nothing. So, You have changed the world for the better without profiting. NOW i Have to be a Patreon, youve saved lots of time and money! Ive been making roses and the only other way is with that weird green tape that doesnt stick to anything especially wire and just makes a big mess. Thank You Sir, Youre my new Hero
So glad it helped 😊🥰
I’ve been using a curing lamp for over a decade doing resin nail art. I have a thin styrofoam that I’ve covered in a sheet of foil. This cures both sides at the same time as it causes the UV rays to bounce around.
Great tip 😊😊😊😊😊 thank you 😊
@@daniel..cooperI grow stuff and can tell you that mirrors do not diffuse light. If they did, agriculture would use them. If anything, it concentrates the light to a single point. Think of ancient weaponry. Better to use something that is plain white.
I was worried that adding colour might change it too much and it wouldn't work.
Amazing! This makes so much sense, as I know you can make a form of self drying dipping resin with clear polymer glue and alcohol. I saw it on sandrartes channel and it works well. I tried it once but am just not patient enough to wait for it to dry 🤣I really like the instant results of UV 😊
Thank you 😊
You amaze me with what you discover! I looked into those dipping resins and they cost a fortune. Now we can do this without spending the money. Thank you for sharing your experiments, Daniel. You are awesome! 😁👏🏻😃
You are so welcome! Thank you 😊
Did the white school glue work also?
You cant beat a happy accident. Amazing x
Nice to see the face behind the voice.
Game changing experiment, every thing you share with us is incredible, can’t wait to see your what’s next 💕
More to come! 😊😊 thank you 😊
Amazing how you can find an easy way to keep us from spending extra money! This is a money saver! Thanks Daniel!☺️😊☺️
Thanks Deb 😊 This will save lots of pennies 😊🥰
Fantastic thanks Dan 😊
For not all heroes wear capes! You are the best
Who woulda thought, well done once again Daniel.
Sophie and Toffee have had dipping resin as part of their kits for a few years. Seeing your process is pretty neat.
Thank you 😊
I did this back in 1970. At the time resin art was a big hippie thing. Those chunky wood slab coffee tables were a thing.
What an absolute treat you gave us by showing us the handsome face that goes with the wonderful voice! You sir are a great teacher! Thank you so very much!🎉❤
Thanks so much Laureen 😊 🙏
Great idea, thank you. Experimenting pays off, sometimes. Huggs from Romania! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Daniel. The Professor has done it again.
You are welcome! Thank you 😊 🥰
I don't know where you get your ideas but you always amaze and that is a cute flower of the cuff.
Anyone remember whimsy dip ? My Aunt bought me a kit when I was 10 and you made pedals with this thin wire then dipped it into this substance and it made see through film . Then you arranged the pedals into a flower.
You need a resin Nobel prize for this, seriously. This is amazing! I haven't tried dipping resin yet, because it isn't easy to get here, but school glue I already have. ❤
Wow, thank you! 😊
Stop it. This is incredible. Nice to see you in person. I saw a dipping video but thought they were too expensive. Now I can dip to my hearts content. When my orders arrive from Amazon my first words are well that’s bigger than I thought or that’s smaller than I expected 😂😂😂😂😂😂 glad it’s not just me.
We can now all dip as much as we want 😂🤣
You have single-handedly killed the sales of dipping resin 🤣
Oops 😂
Great experiment!❤
Thank you 🤗
😂 you reminded me of my teenage years! (62 now 😮) when you dipped into with the wire petal.. there used to be a plastic type product that you dipped wire petals, it dried and made super thin flower type petals. Then you wired them together to make flower! 😂
Cool outcome you created!❤
Daniel, you do realise the dipping resin manufacturers are going to send the lads round, don't you? Loved the flower.
😂😂😂 Thanks Andrew 😊🥰
😲I have no words. How you come up with these genius ideas I haven't clue.
Nice to put a face to the hands and voice 😄, these look beautiful
Thank you 😊
Daniel, you are nothing short of amazing! I don’t know if you realize how you inspire, how you have such a positive influence on the resin community! All I can say is thank you and do all I can do to support your channel. I hope everyone that benefits from your experiments, teaching and inspiration will do the same!
Wow, thank you! That means a lot Vonnie 🥰
You should try the Elmers glow in the dark glue and see if the resin takes on the glowing properties. 😉
I used the old fashioned stuff when i was a kid and have been searching for a dupe for YEARS... thankfully that search is over!!! Thank you so much!!!
So very welcome 😊😊
super cool! the force of serendipity seems to be with you once again
Wow Daniel you are quite the handsome devil 😉. As usual another genius idea.
Mr cooper your an amazing teacher , your experiments so again amazing ! I so love watching and have for a bit now so i'm all ,, Inn 😅❤
Very kewl
great to see the face behind the voice at last. and you work just keeps improving :)
This is so cool. Peter Brown tried regular resin coloured with glitter glue.... And made resin slime. It was really weird
Whoooaaaaa... what is this sorcery?!?! Absolutely amazing experiment! You're a complete legend!
Thank you so much 😊
I love when other folks experiment and then tells us the results. This is brilliant and I THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR PASSING ON THE KNOWLEDGE. I’m sorry for yelling but I’m excited beyond belief. 🎉😮
Very welcome 😊😊😊😊😊
What an amazing thing!! First time commenting… Just a thought on assembling. If you twist off both wires of each petal then cut one off so you only have one wire to work with, it would be easier to streamline the stem. My mind is going mad with the possibilities. Love the ‘Tree of Life’ comment above. Just imagine that in autumn colours 😍
That glue bottle is going to last for centuries.
I know it's not about the flower, but instead of having double strands of wire, you only need a couple of turns at the top, and the rest of the stem can be a single wire. This will result in a stem that's less than half the thickness. If you wrap the wires in the same direction, they will tend to nestle together. That is, the second wire goes in the gaps between the first wire's turns. Keep the winding quite open to leave room for the other wires and you won't get that bunching. You could finish off by dipping the stem in some green resin.
I've done this with the white glue and it works the same... but i make my own clear bezels with this technique and it works amazingly.
Awesome 😊 What did you use? 😀
Nice to see you, not only hear your voice 😊. About experiment it’s amazing, I use tape before
Thank you 😊
Daniel, just when I want to say that you outdid yourself, you come up with something like this. Great job, and thanks for sharing. You're truly the mad scientist of resin!!!
Thanks Jimmy 😊
I'm always watching your experiments love your channel
Thank you! 🥰
I was saying to my Fiance yesterday that one of the things I love about you is your no fear approach to testing things....
I love this as I used to make these as a kid in school... as an adult I learnt it was with geletine and I am raw vegan so couldn't do that.... These are beautiful. Thankyou for making these childhood memories real again!! You inspire me!
Thank you so much 🥰
Off to Amazon I gooooo.
Amazing discovery, you’re like the Fleming of crafts ❤️
Wow, thank you! 😊
My jaw is still on the floor!!😮
Nice to see you and your handsomeness in front of the camera. Like so many of us I thought dipping resin was not only hard to find but so expensive. Bet the manufacturers of it have loved your discovery😮😅!!!
Head blowing experiment my mind is buzzing.. headache coming on from it!! 😅Thankyou so much for sharing your experiments and the time to film n edit n upload to your channel. Appreciate the time and effort taken to bring us along in your boundary pushing art/crafting journey. ❤
Thanks so much 😊🥰🥰
Me and my girls used to make flowers with glue and wire food coloring and floral tape great upgrade craft ❤❤❤
In 1971-1972 , I use to play with a resin that did the same thing. No lamp is needed. I ALSO MADE FLOWERS , much larger than what you have. The color was dark purple. Enjoy. !
Awesome 😊
"this is his better half"...I have tried several times to make a dipping project and could never get it to work. I have added the glue to my shopping list, I will take your advice and not get a HUGE bottle. 🙂 I just love watching your videos and all the new stuff you come up with. So excited to see what you come up with next. I really love the flower you did it turned out so pretty.
Thanks so much 😊
Keep doing these experiments!!! You are changing the resin game for everyone!
This one is a GAME CHANGER!🎉 Going to get clear glue as we speak.
Thank you 😊 Will do 😊😊
Daniel home bargains for Elmer’s glue so cheap this is amazing
Yes, it was a Sunday and was past closing times so had to Amazon order 😂
If only I could ❤ this video a hundred times!! I feel like I always say.. Amazing! Bravo!! So today I will just say Mind Blown!! 🤯 off to Amazon now!! (ps.. You're costing me a small fortune 🤣) 💕 great job Daniel! Thanks for experimenting and sharing your results!
Thanks Cindy 😊😊😊
I bought some dipping resin but haven’t used yet, but this is a money saving game changer, thank you Daniel!
So much fun...who woulda thought that tiny bit of elmers would do that?
Well done you!!! ❤😊
😊 thank you Cheryl 😊
I am dying to do dipping resin, was about to start and see what my normal resin would do, so thank you, I’m one of those people who wants to do 1000 hobbies but I can’t be buying everything involved, so this is great, now back to my crochet 😂
Daniel, I think you have enough clear glue you could package a dab in drinking straws and sell it to spring artists! Great new technique!!
😂😂😂
Again you have amazed me I have left the dipping resin alone because it’s so expensive. This solved that problem. Thank you so much.
Thanks Toni 😊😊
The flower is very pretty!! It is great to put your face with your voice. I love the flower! Now I have to get some wire 😊 The resin King does it again!
Thanks so much 😊
That is brilliant! How on earth you discovered that is beyond me but thank you for sharing
amazon shopping shush we never admit we didnt read the sizes hahahaha thank you for another awesome video :)
Genius! You just saved us resin artists a ton of money!
🥰🥰 thank you 😊 Glad it helps 😊😊
Daniel, have you thought to try vinegar in the resin? I don’t have any right now or I might try it. I’m just gathering all my supplies I need and I have to sneak them in or the husband will know! Thanks for your videos.
OH MY GOODNESS MIND BLOWN!! I tried getting the dip resin but they don’t ship overseas without you having to add ingredients once received. THANK YOU DANIEL! 😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤
Thanks Tammy 😊 Glad I solved that problem then 😊😊😊
Just mind blowing results
ayo Elmer's glue?! Great discovery. Very nice to see this channel continue to innovate.
Thank you very much! 😊
Now that’s Impressive!
Thank you 😊
Awesome. Your experiments are money saving. You can imagine what dipping resin goes for. You are the bees knees. Just make your petals, and leaves at the top of the wire, the you only have the single wire to wrap, instead of how you were doing it. I watch a few channels that do this type of resin art. Very pretty.
Thank you 😊 Yes, I need lots more practice but will definitely wrap them next time 😊😊
The dipping resin people aren't going to like this😂😅😁, but I love it❤❤❤. I was on the fence about purchasing the dipping resin to make some dragonflies, but hesitated. I know I can be a one and done crafter. This is definitely doable. BIG THANKS MR. COOPER!
Thanks so much 😊 Maybe they will drop their prices then 😂
Daniel you amaze me with every new experiment. And your laugh makes a bad day better😊😊😊
Thank you 😊🥰
It is just amazing.
And how Nice to see who’s behind The screen.😊😊
Lots of love from Denmark
Thank you so much 😀
I've seen these types of flowers made by a woman on a CZcams video. Hers were much more elaborate but it's nice to know how to make dipping resin.
😊😊😊😊
DUDE WTF WOW YOU MADE ME SO HAPPY
Really pretty. I make fairy wings and this will be perfect. Thank you again
You Sir, are Genius!!! I'm so excited about this! I'm shouting you a beer to celebrate 🍺💯👌
Thank you so much 🥰
This is so awesome. The results look look really smooth and shimmering. The Elmers glue will last you 20 years !!
I think so too! 😂
All I can say is WOW! WOW! WOW! This is a really big game changer, it is going to save me so much money! Thanks so much for sharing this. It was great to see your face.
You are so welcome! Thanks Ruth 😊
❤ Been wanting to try dipping resin, but, when I can find it, it's pricey. Thank you🙌 for discovering this!
Wow, this is the first time I’ve seen your face after months of watching your videos!
It's a rare thing 😂 I think it only happened once before on here 😂
That's Beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing your discoveries with us all!!♥️
Wow! Just wow! How has one of these resin companies not hired you yet?
They can't afford me 😉😂🤣
Daniel, you are amazing!!! And handsome, too. 😉
Thanks Judy 😊☺️😂
Artsy madwoman has done a uv resin flower simular to this as well... very cool 😊
Daniel I have said time and again I really would love to be in your mind, waiting to see what you are going to come up with! This is fantastic and You are a master creator! Love it. Thank you for showing us what can be achieved with imagination 🤗💕💙💯
Thanks so much as always 😊🥰
Always look forward to the next surprise...😊❤
Thank you 😊
