Do you feel like there are advantages and disadvantages going through the work book yourself front to back before introducing the lesson content with children? introducing it and learning with the child lesson by lesson?

Hi Kiki, thank you for this very very helpful vid! I have a question..
I am begining at age 10 and I'm wondering how to use the body to make the forms which are more complex... I absolutely love the integration of body and mind (and spirit), focusing on wholeness is something that has been lacking in our lives and I'd love to understand more about bringing the body into the more complex forms...

      Hi Laura,
At 10 form drawing is more of a geometry class. If you feel your child needs more body mind integration, I would take it back to some simpler forms and teach those first. You can go at an accelerated rate to move through the forms towards the more complex forms. Hope that helps x

Thank you for your review of the books. I was looking at them on amazon but there were no previews of the inside. I'm very grateful. I'm new to Waldorf and so is my 11 year old daughter. She's been in a regular public and private school since pre-K. She is starting 6th grade with a Waldorf homeschool curriculum. How can I transition her into form drawing? Can I just start with the geometry lessons from the curriculum we're using (earthschooling), or do you recommend we do one of these drawing books?

I'm so glad you found it helpful 😊 Because Waldorf works on aligning lesson content with age, I would just start her off on the Earthschool geometry lessons and see how she goes. If she is finding it difficult to the point she is getting really frustrated or not wanting to do the lesson, then look at picking up book 2 to use as an extra lesson for a little while. Good luck with homeschooling! It can take a while to settle in to a new way of learning but it is so much fun once you do x
