VHF Cache 3

This cache is in addition to my other 2 VHF kits. This makes 3 VHF kits with 6 radios in each.
This kit includes 1 xts5000 model 1 and 5 xts1500.
I also have gang chargers that can be deployed with these.
The reason for the 1 xts5000 is so that each kit will have an equal number of radios.

Im working on getting a UHF R2 XTS1500 rental fleet set up. its very expensive.

eBay and swap meets are my friend. On the two xts5000 kits, my expenses came out to equal the amount I made from reselling the stuff that didn’t work.
I’m gonna be in a similar situation on the project I’m working on with the TK-7180’s. I’m in the beginning stages of building out a box with a 7180 and 8180 that will act as a base station and cross band repeater to link my vhf and uhf kits.

You should really consider a metal ammo can, file the top lip, and use the rubber seal to press heavy duty aluminum foil sheets against the bare metal lip you made. (Sand lip so it's not sharp) you'll have a emp/solar flare proof box. Would be a shame to loose that expensive kit when you need it most. Check continuity. You could seal your phone in it and try calling it for proof of concept. Store water. ;)

Thanks for the suggestion. My goal for this kit is more for pre planned events, not emcomm. Although it can be used in an emergency situation if needed, that is not my focus with this kit.
