  • EASY Deer Water Hole Maintenance. Today its all about deer water holes. Deer water holes can be a great attraction in the summer but mainly in the fall when green vegetation is lacking and bucks are starting to chase during the deer rut. Water holes need a little maintenance each year to help them last and attract deer.

have you ever used the Mosquito Dunks? If not, highly recommend!
They are 100% completely safe and organic and kill mosquito eggs and all. We have a huge issue with them here in the woods in our county so have to use them on standing water during the summer months.

going to put in my first water hole this year .would it work just as well with a large kids type pool or would you go ahead and buy a water tank like from tractor supply !!

I’ve seen guys try that and it just doesn’t work out well. I would personally buy the one from tractor supply most times the 110 gallon tanks for fine. That’s all I ever used

Dumb question-- Does this just naturally fill up, or did you manually put water in each tank?

Guess I should have mentioned that lol. So when I first put them in I fill them up. I have a 50 gallon tank I use on a mini trailer and pull with my atv. Once filled “typically” I never have to fill them again. Burried below the ground level with the rain they will self fill.
