- In celebration of the 60th Anniversary!
I was going for a title sequence that merged all the best parts of modern Doctor Who titles; having the Tardis lead the journey through time and space, becoming directionless when it's gone. And finally, when entering the Tardis, there's the classic diamond vortex from the 70s.

Steve Martin

I feel like I automatically put likes when see black and orange fan titles for Ncuti. Those colors look astonishing together!
The added bit of William Hartnell/David Bradley smiling at Ncuti Gatwa with the knowledge that the TARDIS will be in good hands for years to come really makes this opening more powerful than it already is.
No lie, 0:47 to 1:02 is one of the most creative approaches to the theme I've heard. The vocals overlaid with the original theme was beautiful. Excellent work.
This is one of the best fan titles sequences I think I've ever seen! Stranger Things meets Doctor Who meets future and past and everything inbetween! So great - well done!
never thought a synthwave dw theme would work but it does
1:22
Oh my god! That transition from 2D to 3D was SUPERB!
I am not joking when I say this is one of the cleanest most creative title sequences ive seen made!! The music is so brilliant!! It has that older style tune to it but is also so new and absolutely beautiful. It would be amazing if they used this animation and music one day !!!!
Thank you! And yeah I have to agree, the music is brilliant. So different yet the same old Doctor Who
The Animation Does Too!
@@user-ux4hv7ee4vthe animation is AMAZING ,, absolutely stunning, and so so beautiful!!!!!!!
DUDE, this is AWESOME! I absolutely love your approach to Doctor Who title sequences!! It's well composed and gorgeously rendered. The planet sequence was superb! Keep up the amazing work! I really hope the BBC recognizes you.
I feel like this would work well for a movie. Love the gold and black vortex.
Even though I'm not a fan of the theme used here, the visuals are STUNNING!
This is a different spin on the titles and I love it! Great references to past title sequences even reminded me a bit of Peter Cushing's titles! Well done! 💙
The music at first had me feeling Mysterious Cities of Gold... :) But then wham it's WHO and - that was beautiful. Well done.
Go check out Steve Martins channel in the description just below my channel name, I’m sure you’ll appreciate his other there work too.
He also collaborates with the Waveform channel, also linked in the description.
Okay, that's actually good. Not just self-referential, but also clearly a start of a new era.
But what is Torchwood's Susie is doing here :D
This is BY FAR the best concept titles I have ever seen, the music, the graphics, it is incredible. You my friend have earned a subscriber.
This is an absolute masterpiece and it used my favourite fan theme
I really like and feel more connected to the Doctor now ❤. The fact that they and William Hartnell in the opening sequence. Wow what a special way to honor the 60 year's of one of the greatest shows on TV today. Well though the last 60 year's. I just wished we could watch more of the 1st Doctor's time.
One Fan's Opinion.
Sadly most of them are lost
Brilliant work. I love the credits, and the theme tune is brilliant 👏 👏👏
Most excellent, LK!
Long Time Whovian here....And you got me with this!! 👍👍
1:08 to the end could work for another sci-fi tv show
That was amazing, just amazing!
This is incredible work, well done!
If they were to make another doctor who movie, this is the intro that should be used
I love the idea of bcc having a one time long ass intro for his first ep. "bbc presents.... doctor who" sounds so awesome
Just brilliant! Id like to see something in that style with the previous incarnations!
it's recognisable but has a sense of mystery and fantasy to it!
This is gorgeous!
Having an extra long title sequence like this is NEEDED. Plus orange and black works sooooo well with his Doctor Who
Well... that was impressive!!
Absolutely brilliant.
Amazing amazing, loved that theme especially the part with the actors names it’s so so good. I think it’d be good to also add tardis noises
Splendid!
That bit of music at the start damn
That was gorgeous ❤❤🔥🔥🔥
Way better than the actual series
Very interesting and different..I Definitely liked it!!❤
Awesome!
EPIC!
Really chill music for doctor who
goes hard!
Wicked! They should use this tune for DR Who! Reminds me of Tron
yoooo this is dope
We need this as atleast the season 1 title sequence!
I would love this for like a special Doctor who episode.
Lovely, just lovely. Cut 1/3 of it out (no shame, it's just how things go) and it could really go in the show.
OOOOOHHHHHHHMMMMMMYYYYYYGOOOOOOOD!!!!!! I’m mind blown 😮😮😮
Its like im watching movie intro
Me getting flashbacks to marvel
How did you achieve the outer cloud layer of the tunnel, is it a volumetric? The whole thing looks absolutely beautiful!!
Pretty much everything for the space tunnel is volumetrics, same for the nebula's in space. Thank you greatly!
would i be able to make a cover of this theme? it's absolutely beautiful!
Sorry I don’t own the music. You’d have to contact Steve Martin
oh man, i hope you turn out like john smith and get hired by the bbc, because this IN my very very strong opinion, is much better than the actual sequence
Although I'm no where near his level, even being compared to John Smith is highly appreciated; I adored his work in the show.
I trust him,
WOW!!!!!!
Neat. Theme was clearly Stranger Things-inspired, and I like some of the ideas here.
Wait, how does it sound stranger things inspired?
I really like this theme, it's imaginative, sounds original but fits well. There's nothing wrong with the 2023 theme as such but it's just the same old approach. Not what I expected from what is essentially a soft reboot.
hi!! can you give me a tutorial for time vortex from blender? I really appreciate this one! I can buy the model for you if it suits you!
Hey, I don’t really do tutorials but I’d recommend playing around with volumetrics in blender. You can use the gradient node to create the initial tunnel and then use other nodes to shape that gradient into a nice texture.
It's good, like really good but i dont like it too much but its still very good
Is this fan made? Bc this wasn’t in the 60th specials.
I need the end credits aswell
I appreciate the enthusiasm however I don’t really plan on making the credits, sorry.
Do you work for the BBC because you should
Just think, somewhere on a cutting room floor, Mat Smith is crying. If this is actually real the BBC is incredibly CHEEP.
This isn’t real
would i be able to use this theme in a short film?
Strictly no sorry.
@@lennykiss-digitalartist2597 would I be able to make a cover of it?
No, sorry.
Hey Lenny Kiss! Did You See The Word Says "NOT FOR USE"?
No need to worry, I obtained the rights to the music.
@@lennykiss-digitalartist2597 Well, You Didn't See The Word Says "[THEME IS NOT FOR USE OR RE-UPLOAD]" On Hadal Zone.
I have permission from the creator to use the theme.
@@lennykiss-digitalartist2597 What About Age 13-17?
I can confirm he's got permission. I asked waveform about it and they gave permission to them. He's also credited waveform at the end
Disney Money Baby
My hairs stood on end watching this. If the rumours are true that Gatwa's season is essentially a soft reboot, this would be a phenomenal intro to a new era. Well done
Thank you so much - was exactly what I was going for
You do know he will have the same one as Tennant same as the tardis there not gonna make an into for just 3 specials it’s unrealistic
That’s not really gonna stop me from making these although I do hope they change the titles for gatwa
This ia incredible! Can i use this theme in a video if thats ok with you? Crediting you ofc.
No. The theme is not for reuse. It is also not mine. Check out Steve Martin and waveform for more content in the description!
@@lennykiss-digitalartist2597 fair enough. Thanks for letting me know.
Without theoriginal title music it ceases to be doctor Who. It might become something else, but it is not the beloved timelord of Gsllifrey
But he ceased to be that at the chrismas special allready.
Call it American DDr.Disney, but it has nothing to do with the real doctor.
This is better than the actual 60th title sequence
It really isn't
I guess you can say that
In retrospect this comment is a bit harsh. This title sequence is certainly better directed than the new one. When it comes to the rendering, particularly with the nebula the 60th is obviously far superior.
I hate this marvel style shit so much. I mean, it's nicely enough realised, but I absolutely hate it.
May I ask what makes you think this is Marvel style?
Thats just awful
