- This is a draft video from around a month after "The Star Beast" aired which I've had unlisted for quite some time hence why there is some issues. It was just intended to be a fun mock up of an alterative 'what if' opening for the first 60th special which I've had lying around for some quite time (and forgotten about) till now. Enjoy

Funny enough, there was a comic book released in 2023 (was supposed to be released in 2022 but was delayed) featuring The Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones with that exact title!

this intro is great, the only changes i would make, would be trying to edit the logo to be the newer one, plus render the same time vortex as classic RTD for season 4, but with the current exterior flying through, then maybe by the end, have it transition slowly into what we see the intro is now,

That reminds me, I saw someone do up a take on the 2005 intro, but redone with the 2023 logo and the 2018 TARDIS.

This is incredible and a very succinct recap for the Doctor and Donna! I really love the theme tune used for the opening credits and I would love to hear a longer version!

this is really good, some of the sound effects are ok, but on a BBC budget would be incredible, but really great job considering you're just a fan, lush build up at the end.
Thank you very much, really do apricate this. This is by no means by best work, however i did intend on polishing up the video before it was uploaded. Sadly i lost the original files i had whilst editing and had this one kept aside unlisted which could definitely have been improved.

This is exactly how i felt, the intro we got for the star beast felt rather cheaply produced, i think a flashback scene like i mocked up might have worked better (without tooting my own horn)

I'm fine with the recap existing and playing before the episode on first broadcast, but it really shouldn't be the actual pre-titles sequence

This is way better than david tennant standing on nothing. This literally explains and shows more than the actual intro. I think they made that awful intro because disney wanted them to give backstory for new viewers. Also the title sequence was great with the 2008 sequence but remixed theme representing nuwho and old who and it didn't have the crappy PowerPoint slide graphic for the logo well done!

I mean this isn’t a “fixed” intro. It’s a completely different intro altogether.
What? This ‘completely different intro’ fixes the introduction of the episode. Fix means to put something right, and/or improve or adapt something.
If this video replaced The Star Beast intro, it would be putting things right. This is because it is an improvement. It adapts the original intro by using the narration and presenting the idea better. This video fixes the episodes intro, objectively and without doubt.
@@ewobbley Your opinion is, by definition, not objective. You say it's an improvement. I say it's a fun edit, but way too long of a recap to be used in an actual episode.
@@TheMoonRover It’s only 20 seconds longer. Instead of The Star Beast being 57 minutes long, it would be 57 minutes and 20 seconds long. An increase of 0.581%. The recap in Twice Upon A Time was 1 minute and 10 seconds just to recap one story, while this fix of the Star Beast intro is 30 seconds longer and manages to succinctly recap an entire series (and specials) of the show.
A Star Wars show (Obi) had a four minute recap to cover 7 hours of content, whereas Ten and Donna has around 13 hours of content and this fans’ fix for the recap is only 1 minute and 50 seconds.
This fix of the recap is not ‘way too long’ by any means. What exactly is your measurement and parameter for the basis of your opinion? Why can it not be an improvement because it doesn’t meet your personal arbitrary length?
You could have said the SFX or music or bitrate was better in the actual introduction, but you chose the most personal preference thing ever.

You claim your opinions are objective and without doubt, then try to refute others by making irrelevant arguments which completely miss the point. It's not a fix, it's an edit. A fix implies there was something wrong with the original, but you never bothered to explain what that is. Seems a bit hypocritical, don't you think?
As for your question: relevance. All the relevant information was given in the episode, so did it really even need a recap in the first place? (The producers didn't think so until Disney asked). This edit doesn't add anything useful. Other shows might indeed need a longer recap because there is more information to fit in.
And yes, I agree. There are definitely some oddities with sound, bitrate, etc, but this is a quick fan edit, not an official thing. That could be smoothed out, but it's still excessive for a recap. Not sure about the music transitions either.

i love but why a 20fps series 4 intro
This is a rough draft I've had kicking about for 8months roughly now, it definitely needed some polishing but the original edited i compiled become corrupt and instead of going to waste i decided to upload the unlisted version i had available, definitely not perfect but it is what it is. Hope this clears things up.
