I don't like how they made this the Derek and Nastia show. Like serious greed is a little over board. There are professionals who work thier butts off to make this show what it is (Val, Sharna, Peta) who don't get enough credit. Is able time Derek steps off the spotlight.
Well, Derek had a young girl last season and he became in 4th. Alfonso Ribeiro won. A 40 year old guy. Soooooo ... stop being such jerks and if you don't like it, don't watch it. Go Derek :) You are such an inspiration for lots of people as a Pro, as a dancer and as a person
Giovisnas Robles I think people are catching on as to how they seem to give Derek partners who are either athletes, singers/performers, or they are young & are natural dancers. He is like the golden boy of DWTS. They wouldn't dare give him a Paula Deen or a Betsy Johnson. As each season goes on, more & more folks are now starting to catch on as to how much bias and favoritism goes towards Derek from the DWTS producers. I remember watching season 15 and Sabrina Bryan, Melissa, Gilles, Drew Lachey, Kelly Monaco and Shawn Johnson were my favorites but the ones who I was voting for were Melissa, Gilles and Sabrina. I used my parents', my brother's, and even my own cell phone to vote. Haha. They didn't win their seasons so those were the ones who I rooted for. I also took into consideration who their partners were. I like that they were pros who didn't win the mirror ball trophy yet at that point of time. I remember looking on Facebook and seeing folks commenting on voting against Derek and Shawn, like a revolution/ boycott. I was already doing that anyway but to it was crazy to see. I like Derek and he is a good dance choreographer but I would like to see other pros given a fair chance to win. Maybe they need to do one season where they do an age cutoff and only have celebrities who have some form of dance background whether it's ballet, musical theater, cheerleading or hip hop. or they singer/performer. Make the playing field level and fair so everyone, the pros and celebrities, have an equal chance. That would be an entertaining season and would keep the audience guessing.
nastia and derek are so going to win, not trying to be a hater to all the others i love them all but like derek has won so many and nastia is so freakin flexible she will be doing flips all over the dance floor.
So not only am I not all that pleased or excited about the cast this year... but I am even more disappointed there isn't a youtuber on the show either. Not sure I'll be watching this year.

What a bunch of 'whanna bees' and 'has bins' trying to remind people that they're still around. Like Summers and Redfoo. Doubtful there will ever get a team like Meryl and Max, in my opinion the best that the show has ever had. Derek with one of the top 4 in talent or most likely to get votes for some reason to keep the teen votes coming to support the ratings. So predictable and tiring that he just cannot seem to keep his shirt one. Exhibitionist. And isn't this the 3rd time now he has said that he was retiring, only to come back? Just more manipulating by DWTS / Disney.Good thing that the past 2 seasons the better dancer won. And BTW: Am I the only one who gags about the fact that Willow Shields is only 14? Partnered with Mark Ballas, a 28 year old man? And being taught up close and romantic dances for weeks? Intimate touching and private bumping, yuk. Still in Jr. High! Comes pretty close to being illegal if you ask me, and why in the heck are her parents allowing it? It's like every pervie's,( man or woman), dream. I thought DWTS was always pitching that it was a 'family show? Poor Mark having to be put through it. I am probably done with DWTS and turning to The Voice, which is a far more fun show to watch.
