  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday referred to protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and said "POK is part of India and we will take it".
Addressing a rally in Serampore, Shah said while peace has returned to once trouble-torn Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir "now echoes with slogans of Azaadi and protests.
"After the abrogation of article 370 by the government in 2019, peace has returned to Kashmir. But now we witness protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Earlier slogans of Azaadi were heard here, now the same slogans are heard in POK. Earlier stones were pelted here, now stones are pelted in POK," he said.
Hitting out at Congress leaders for not supporting the demand of taking over POK, Shah said, "Congress leaders like Mani Shankar Aiyar say it should not be done as they have an atom bomb. But let me say this Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is part of India and we will take it."

UN security council permanent member also needs to be happen for India. It would be extremely unfair if the world's most populous country and world's 3rd largest economy (in 2 years) somehow is not a permanent member of UNSC if we think that the 5 should represent the world's interests. Remember one fact...that Kashmir's accessions to India were signed by Mount Betton, Nehru and the King of United Kashmir.. including Gilgit Baltistan! British army personnel took up the weapons and took the possession of Gilgit Baltistan and gave it to Pakistan (for administration)! During all these episodes Indian and the Pakistanies were prohibited to have & use weapons! So it was the British betrayal that caused this situation! Remember that Pakistanies also used an excuse of 'Kabilies' invasion to Kashmir ( of course Pakistanies army personnel in the plain clothed)...that led to this current LOC! Possibly It was the British who led Nehru to bring this dispute to the UN! It's well-known that the British would betray India any and all Day...Now all that needs to unwind... before the UN has any moral authority over India and the global south!
The UN is the failed institution any way... either they reform (& recognize Indian veto power in the Security Council)or face the Universal exedus of the Nations from the UN!!!

@Delllatitude7490 The solution will be according the resolutions of UN. It was clearly stated that the people of the States will decide about their future. Accordingly, only the people of state have the right to decide. Annexing by any state through any other channel is null and void, and it's not legitimate whosoever does it; Pakistan or India.
This is the basic human right of the people of kashmir; Right of self-determination. It can't be denied. The ship hasn't sailed yet. We will plead our case.

@TheVijeshvijay I recommend that UN does a referendum and give both countries( Pakistan and India) a timeline to quit, so both countries have some time to leave the place.😉

@TheVijeshvijay I agree to the point that India is a better choice economically. However, Kashmiris would like to live free. Who doesn't appreciate personal identity?

  • @learnenglishwithwaseemraja7030

The future of Kashmir must be decided by the people of Kashmir. Both India and Pakistan are infringing the basic human rights of Kashmiris.
    Both countries should quit Kashmir.

Stop discussing this issue in media. When the nation takes a decision, they will not invite you to give your views. They are aware of the repercussions. 1971 and 370 abrogation are the examples.
