My dad is on this :) Giuliano Maiorana !
Alessia Maiorana say hello to your dad&uncle..i used to deliver upholstery stuff to them...two top geezers:)
Remember him :)
I saw him play for the reserves he looked a good player.
Yeah right
The man who saved Histon
The humility of a pair of jeans and a Waterboys t-shirt...Brian McClair, ladies and gentlemen.
Bobby Charlton famous for being a gentleman and no yellow cards. 4:20 looks like a mega leg breaker!
Sir Alex Ferguson was one of united's most influential and legendary managers in the history of the club and he will be sorely missed. long live the legend that is Fergie.
He IS the most influential manager in the history of United not one of.
For kiddo an Nobby their greatest moment was only 20 years before this was filmed... That's the same length of time since Ole won HIS European cup.... mental. How quickly it all passes into history.
So nice watching this. I love the professionalism exhibited by everyone then, from the directors, managers, players to the backroom staff. GGMU ...
Brian Kidd. Assistant coach. Bucket and sponge man for the B team. What a guy.
all these players where my hero's mark Hughes was amazing i was 16 in 1990 and was the best time of my life big thanks to all them players for giving me so many great memories
nice one! brian kidd, legend for helping the development of the nevilles, giggs and scholes! he played a MASSIVE part in the club's future after '89! :D
Hey Alessia. I used to watch your dad play in the first team and reserves regularly and he was a top player; you should be very proud. Give him my best regards, Curtis.
City fan here and football fan. Always interested in documentarys like this
Cheers for the plug mate!
Hey, that West Indian kid in the museum bit is Shaun Goater!
"England and Ireland, Scotland and...wherever" :D. Sorry Wales.
Wales always gets over looked and shafted in most things, as a Welshman of a certain age I’m used to it.
Wait is that a young Shaun Goater the Man City "Legend" visiting the United museum?
looks just like him I was thinking same thing 10:43
he was on the books in 89 didn't play for us tho.
just thinking that and posted, then saw your comment :)
kevin de bruyne at 11.40
I like watching these because it’s a time when I can say I earned more than premier league/1st division footballers 😑
Fascinating, I'm 49 and a red and what a trip down memory lane. Did anyone else spot Sean Goater?
Hey Alessia! Get your Dad to watch this. He actually appears on this video quite a few times!
Clayton Blackmore was a very underrated player, all ways put in a shift .
This was made when fergie's fledglings were just getting into the first team. His first batch of home grown talent and although they didn't have the same impact as scholes, beckham etc. It showed that Sir Alex didn't mind playing the youngsters if they were good enough
Interesting to see Shaun 'The Goat' Goater featured in this, whom I believe started @ Manchester United on trial before being released & plying his trade @ Rotherham, Notts County, Bristol City, & of course, Manchester City :(
Good video, ONE LOVE MUFC LOVE UNITED HATE GLAZER!
@Anddosdd Mullets/perms were the fashion back then!
God, Lee Martin and mark Robbins the heroes of the 89/90 FA cup.
Sparky and Brian McClair on the golf course with no caddy. Imagine today's players.
Pogba probably demands a different caddy for every hole.
4.19 Bobby leaving a bit on the goalkeeper there
Looks like the keepers leg is broken to me 😮
Good watch Everton fan Fergie was only in 3 years there but was developing a great team
Adrian Doherty :-( if you know who he is then it’s a tragedy what happened to him. Would have been on par if not better than Giggs at this time.
Yes for sure and never even got a mention as per usual, completely airbrushed from Man Utd history. Disgrace. RIP DOC
Dennis Taylor was underrated as a football coach.
He was a pretty good snooker player too.
14:40 George Constanza
4:18 casual leg break
Quem diria que o United iria aumentar a sala de troféus nos próximos anos, e com grandes conquistas.
Well, I tried, but they didn't bite. They did however highlight your Best & Giggs doc the other week. (I know it's not 'yours', but you get me...)
Yeah, I noticed that after I posted. But no-one else has given this a plug on The Guardian Sportblog's Classic CZcams feature! Nyah!
Brucie 'The Model' PMSL!
Though it was IBWM that brought me here, I'll admit.
is that shaun goater? 9mins 50
Does anyone know who originally made this documentary?
Leg snap at 4.20
Not even a mention of Adrian Doherty 😠 who traveled with the first team on a few occasions, and was only days away from making his debut only for cruciate injury in a midweek A team game. Airbrushed from UTD history and a it’s a disgrace . RIP DOC
@4:20 ouch that looks painful
Haha I used to own this on VHS
Observation: 9:48, is that Shaun Goater 😂
The clubs boutique lol
Giggs, g.neville, Beckham, scholes, n.butt,
Whaaaat!?
I think it's now safe to say ;THE' not 'ONE OF'
6 of these kids would have been fergie’s fledglings
I know all fans think that their club is great but let's be honest
10.41- is that shaun Goater?
Yeah, that's him. Goater was a former trainee at United.
Manchester Red Yes I knew that- he looks so young there! Enjoying the upload even though I'm a blue!
haha couldn't resist having a sneek look behind the scenes at United then!
Keep your friend close and enemies closer!
4.20 broken leg ouch
JordanSenior22 yeah looks like it
ouch
Neil Webb is now a post man.
No he isn't, was a postman.
Manchester Red ok former postman now working for a transport company.
how much were the wages then 3-4 thousand a week
alsithy alsithy - very doubtful. The wages only went up to the many thousands after sky. Likely Shearer was highest earner at Blackburn on 4k.
Remember that even £800 PW would have been a huge wage in '89
I'd like to be on £3-4,000 per week and it's late 2018.
It was reported bryan robson was on 2k per week. He was the best player in the country at that time
4.20 broken leg?
Quickly kevin
Nobby Stiles looking more like a professor than a retired footballer 😁
Did Norbert ever look like a footballer.
May we have subtitles for when the Scottish chap speaks please? Thanks awfully.
I think the Scottish chap you’re referring to is goalkeeper Jim Leighton.
Mr J W Subtitles requires for the drunk Scottish chap on the right.
Silver Steel you must be referring to Alex Ferguson lol
Mr J W 😉
hughes hair is laughable
...I think the word you're looking for is glorious
Brian McClair playing golf in a t-shirt. Disgusting.
Haha its people like you that makes me hate golf so thanks for that
Fuck off you muppet
Who knows......who giggs, Scholes, Beckham who knows ......... Gillespie, butt, welbek, fletcher, neville who knows.
