Fun fact : that large brown cylinder thing was actually old theming for shockwave back when it was themed to a mine

Maybe after Gold Rush, Drayton Manor could get a gravity group family wooden coaster? I feel like it would be a good family thrill coaster for the park, or maybe they would work with intamin again, since they seem very happy with their work. Hopefully this will ve reliable!
Good shout, I think a Vekoma Suspended Thrill Coaster with be an excellent fit too, and they also have a low height restriction allowing kids to ride.
any new gen vekoma would do wonders as well i think

The overall finish of this ride is so much better than Hyperia! Really nice to see the ride area has been landscaped properly, it makes a huge difference!

I absolutely love seeing you do interviews with Victoria. Maybe she's done interviews with other people but I've only ever seen interviews with you Shawn.
She's an absolute sweetheart and i'd love to meet her. She's fully invested into putting her heart and soul into Drayton Manor and it comes across massively.
I know there's a difference between an MD and an owner, but Amanda Thompson at BPB would do well by taking notes from Victoria on how to treat your guests instead of insulting them.
I also love the fact that when it comes to major family parks, the fight now is Paultons, Drayton & Chessington.
I'd say out of the three, Paultons is doing slightly better, but i can see Drayton beating them all in the next few years given all the investment going on.
Wasn't so much gutted about the loss of white knuckles originally, but more about them classifying as a "regional park". I wanted them to have bigger ambition.
Drayton Manor in it's heyday was one of the top theme parks in the UK. Glad to see even though they're making a few changes, it doesnt mean they're downsizing by any means.
You don't have to be the biggest park to be mighty. Let's get Drayton firmly on the map again as one of the top choices.
From a fellow enthusiast, thank you so much Victoria for all the blood, sweat and tears you're putting into this place and Looping for having the faith to know it just needs better.
Looping are also doing a great job with West Midlands Safari Park, but not much is happening with Pleasurewood Hills and I'm kind of sensing "buyer's remorse" there. Minimal things have happened compared to the other two parks.
If it does end up closing (which i fear it will), I'd love to see Wipeout move to Drayton. Havent been on it since it was The Missile at American Adventure.

@@ThemeParkWorldwide I think its between Drayton and Paultons for best family/thrill park. Paultons have indicated in interviews that they want to put some more thrilling rides in to expand there appeal to a greater age range. Paultons have the edge on Drayton when it comes to their garden displays, they say they have eleven gardeners, this is an area where Drayton could improve, some nice flowers around the bases of the trees themed areas instead of just woodchip, gravel or shael would make a great deal of difference. I think however, that at the moment they are just concentrating on getting the park turned round and all the themed areas brought up to scratch. They still have two SBNO rides in the middle of the park to deal with and a rundown zoo that needs a lot of investment, but l think they will get there eventually, they have already brought back two SBNO rides, the rapids and the Terrance Driving School and revitalised two areas and introduced a new area. I can see them bringing back the Drayton Queen or a Pirate related boat ride and maybe putting a fountain package on the lake as well as bringing back the SBNO rides and modernising the zoo. Pleasurewood Hills was bought by the Looping Group as part of a package of parks that they took over from a previous owner all of the others located in other European Countries. I think they were just happy at the time to aquire a park in England as they wanted a park here. { It tells you this on the About Looping Group on their website.} It says on their website that they specialise in aquiring and doing up Regional Parks, whether they are going to keep Pleasurewood Hills now that they have Drayton and West Midlands Safari Park remains to be seen but it is noticeable that they have not included admission to this park in their Platanum pass, as if they wanted to increase attentandance that would help, and they have not invested in it was a long time. They could easily use the profits from a sale and relocate their rides to other parks in England and Europe, The Jolly Rodger and Moby Dick rides would fit in well with Draytons Pirate area. I think the Mouse Ride and Egg Express might come to Drayton and Wipeout to West Midlands Safari park, but if they got rid of some of the car park space they could accommodate all three. I could see the zoo being reduced in size to increase the theme park area, the area at the back of the zoo looks like it si going to be re developed.

So happy for you both with your marriage and I hope you have a great honeymoon in Italy. It's lovely to see how much Charlotte has grown in the time you've been together too from just agreeing to what you were saying in the vids to really blossom and come out of her shell and give her input as well.

If you're reading this Victoria, keep doing what you're doing, because you're giving a park that used to be a major player new life. Take it back to the top of it's class and put it in the map again.
Since it made Shawn a bit emotional, the hidden item under the bin bag must be a nod to Apocalypse.

Looks like a beautiful and fun ride. I love the light-shades in the station, upside down buckets, and also that upside down bathtub light on the way in. I think we're getting the same ride model here at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast Australia, it's called Jungle Rush, with a jungle theme.

It’s a tombstone and it says Apocalypse 2000-2022 Gone but not forgotten. I’m also loving that some of that theming use to be in the shockwave/splash canyon area before the re-theme.
Going for the 1m coaster is a excellent choice and many will be worried it’s for young families but you only got to look at the 1m coaster’s Paulton’s park have installed and they all fun and entertaining.
Now I hope they step it up and go for an excellent dark ride in the pirate adventure building.
They have done a fantastic job with this. Exciting times for the park!

This new coaster looks great! And the theming! It’s also great that it has a low height restriction and my 5 year old will be able to ride it😊he’s favourite ride is minifigure Speedway at Legoland, so he will love this ride! He has never been to Drayton Manor before so looking forward to taking him soon!😊it’s so important to have family rides like this that you can all enjoy together. I have always taken my boy to theme parks since he was very young, like my mum and dad did with me when I was he’s age. So he really enjoys our family time all together at a theme park, and so do we taking him and making plenty of memories🥰

God the theming is so good it's so nice to see theming being given the level of importance it really should have (you know what coster I'm throwing shade at) but honestly between this and nemisis it's a great year for theming in UK parks

Took my 4yr old to Drayton yesterday and he loves it!! He's 1.1m so is tall enough to go on so many of the rides!
I know he's super excited for Gold Rush and so am I!! Will have to pop back later in the year to give it a go =D It looks amazing!!!

That was a really great video, showing us what we can look forward to from this coaster. It looks fantastic! Drayton Manor have really gone to town with this area it looks far better than MIni Figure Speedway which looks half finished and Hyperia, Merlin need to up their game! What i would like to see now is the Hillbilly Game moved form adventure cove to Frontier Falls as i think that game would fit in really well with this area. Also i think a panning for gold area would really complement the ride if they could fit one in. Lets not forget that they have not finished this area yet, when they have finished theming in Accelorator and the Saloon area it will be one of the best themed areas in a theme park in the UK.

This definetly could be the best family coaster in the uk for sure. Im going on the 30th july so i hope its fully running by then :) i hope they keep up with the big investments every 4/5 year max and its not another 10 years before we get another big coaster. I think next they should go for a dark ride with a thrill element to it.

Looks like where in a disney park with this theming :D definitely will future proof the park with everything being so well themed and also free to once you get in the park unlike the absurd route the tower operations are taking up charging for the towers ruins and the dungeons which should be free! 😢.
I will always support drayton manor they have a bright future and they actually do care about there guests experience even though it's only a family park with less intense rides it will hands down over take the towers at some in customer service, theming and value for money! ❤
I think drayton manor will become the best voted park in the uk 🇬🇧 🤔 I would say there definitely on par with Paultons.

Wow! I am so sad my Drayton Manor annual pass ran out in May. I need to try this when it opens, it looks absolutely amazing! I hope they keep up this new theming quality they have acquired. When they do the next themed area, I hope it is to freshen up the pirate kind of area and reopening the doors of the old Pirate Adventure Ride obviously not that same ride but just using that place for something. An expansion or refresh of that pirate styled area would be so nice. Awesome video as always! Keep riding and thriving!
i totally agree, freshening the Pirate area up and re opening a new Pirate ride should be their next project after they have finished theming up Accelorator and opened the Saloon area.

I like her honesty. Drayton manor does not need to compete with AT or TP and becoming family friendly with restrictions is genius.

i was literally here today on a school trip, wasnt able to get on the wave tho, the queue was like 1 hour and a half to 2 hours and our school only gave us like 3 hours in the park

Great to see a low minimum height, however, as a 2m lad it’s annoying that I’m not able get get on a good number of rides in the uk now

I wish we did! Intamin are the only ones to of experienced it yet though!
Only Intamin commissioning engineers are allowed to ride at this time.

It’ll be set to the cycle at certain times

I think maybe they could run it on one setting in the morning and one in the afternoon so atleast when I go and want to try both I'll know exactly what cycle I'll get depending on the time of day 👍
