So fun! I think the couch you have now would look great in the new house, even temporarily. It would give a "luxe ski resort" kind of vibe! I've seen a lot of places in the CO mountains that combine the cabin vibe with luxe furniture and it's always BEAUTIFUL!

Your couch in your Canadian city home (Grey tufted) would turn into the most BEAUTIFUL rustic cognac/brown leather tufted couch for your new home if you had it upholstered. That way you know it's comfy & you could choose your own fabric ❤ good luck furniture shopping!
It’s so fun completely changing one’s idea of how they want their house to look. When we moved into our dream country home we went totally antiques and natural wood and hardly any “modern” vibes! I love it!!!

Sweetie you should thrift some pieces of furniture! Maybe not the couches but you could definitely thrift dressers and tables❤❤❤
Plaid fabric on the walls would really cozy up the bedroom. You should attach the fabric to some kind of wood & then put it on the wall, then you can add some batting first & make it even cozier. When you were outside at the end filming toward the house, there's a tree to the left right behind you that would look great decorated it for Christmas 🎄.

Angie, I just love the new house!! You said you have acorns, find some large ones, and put the year on it. Then every year, pick the large ones. You'll end up with a nice bowel in a couple of years. Also you will see which winter were harder. God always gives plenty of nuts for the animals❤🐿🦌🫎
Ok now the back of the house that faces the water needs like warm white string lights on the eves of the house to light up in the evening and I bet that would look so pretty even in the summer.

❤ I think you need one of those nice old fashion leather couches with the big nailheads on the side. There is a store in Frisco, Texas that makes them. But I’m sure you can find a speciality store near you for that. Maybe antique shopping would bring more of a rustic vibe. Textures, fur, leather and Sherpa is cabin cozy. I think you’re already on that path. I think you can reuse your low lanterns that you are removing in the room with the high ceilings. Multiple ones in a row like a Disney cabin feel. I think Facebook market might have some rustic finds but if you want brand new, probably the specialty shops. 🦌
And also estate sales.

Is the wood in the new house as yellow in person as it is on camera? I don’t mean this in a judgey way whatsoever but I’m worried about the “griege” tones you mentioned and all the grey you tend to gravitate towards being very cool tones and screaming at the very warm wood tones in the home. I feel like you’ll need to explore warm tones for fabrics and furniture or treat the wood in the home to unsaturate the yellow. The RH ski house collection is so your vibe but the yellow wood tones wouldn’t compliment it well in my opinion. The Disney house has a very cohesive feel because it all has the same cooler tone. Anyways sorry for rambling lol just my two cents. Much love to the whole family ❤

If you can't find anything you like furniture style, consider looking for a good finish carpenter that makes custom furniture. We have had family do this before for a cabin they own, and it is so well made and beautiful for the space they have.

Beautiful home. My grandparents lived on the water front of Lake Huron and always messed me up how the “back” of the house was the front because it faced the water, yet what they called the back was where the driveway and front door is. Doesn’t make sense to me lol

I definitely don’t think you need to stay away from wood furniture in the house just because there’s already a lot of it. Even if it’s not the exact same colour it’ll still all tie in with the soft furnishings and accessories. I feel like the plush bed may not suit all too well. But I could be wrong! There’s a lot of inspo online too. Such a beautiful home Angie!! Really enjoying the videos!

My Pomeranian was only 4 1/2 & we think maybe he had a tick we couldn’t see & being only 7 lbs & black color we think even just a few days he had it & was too late his vet said. One day I hope to get another little guy under 10 lbs I like…adorable,portable & cuddly like mine or Carl. Anyways thank you,love you & all your videos & just being so cool,kind & fun!
