What a review, Jeff! I look forward to seeing the follow up reviews and how you like how it wears in. If you're a fan of patina, you're going to be in for a treat. We like to say our leather is the ugliest the first day you own it... it's only going to get better looking over time!
I will use it to its full potential. Might have to take it on a “walk in the woods” to make some fairy doors this summer.
That’s a pretty cool backpack it’s designed as the Gotium backpack.❤
They are similar in design. But they handle much differently.
Nothing to do with the Front Pocket backpack BUT I just received the Saddleback Adolescent Beast(chestnut) and it is a beauty!!! At some point I will get the backpack when my other backpacks break.

I have that bag in tan for years now as a work bag. I am a truck driver and it’s more than suited my needs for everything form tools to personal items.

Do you think this would be a good size for an upcoming college student? I plan on carrying around a laptop, iPad, chargers, a notebook/folder, and maybe a water bottle. Do you think this bag can fit all that and still be good for an everyday use thing?
If you dedicate one of the exterior side pockets as your water bottle pocket, all of that should fit no problem. I will say it is a little tight at first, but it is brand new full grain heavyweight leather. So as it is being used in stretching out, it will fit a lot more a lot easier. I am also trying to put a fairly bulky admin pouch and tech kit into it. You’re talking about slimmer things that will fit much easier and much neater inside the bag.
And this is certainly a bag that will last you your four years of college, and far beyond. This is a premium high-quality bag that is going to last four years and years.
