LUTs (Look Up Tables in Radiology)

In X-ray Radiology Look-Up Tables (LUTs) are commonly used to adjust the visualization of the images. Look up tables change the relative contrast in images. Typically increasing the contrast in the images to make them appear more like film images. LUTs are also used to invert the image contrast.
