- Hey everyone, so there were so many brilliant characters in Xenoblade 3, and at first I wasn't so keen on Taion, but throughout the game I grew to really like him and this video I explain why he's such a brilliant character.

Taion was a brilliant character, and here's my reasons why!
I think you should’ve included the part where he and Eunie discuss the origins of offseeing…
Out of all the characters, Taion got the most character development. Noah was given a mission and accepted that it was how it was. Lance will back up Noah and Eunie will too. Mio did follow Noah the same way and Sena also backed up Mio but Taion put up very durable walls and kept his guard up until he saw that Kevesi are just like him. He slowly put his walls down and began to open up little bits of time in his own, cynical and jerky way but he still tried to make friends. Then we fast-forward to the end and now hes more open and very likeable guypon having his own derp moments and even getting along with Lance. Still breaks my heart to see that he wanted to be Eunie's Top Best Friend and him falling to his knees at the end of the world's splitting knowing he'll never get to have moments like he had for a very very long time

I don't take fun time in the water (wotah) to him be just happy. Maybe it was not just be friend with her. Maybe it was more like 😏
One huge detail you missed was at the very end when Noah and Mio were promising to meet again you can see Taion falling to his knees as he's shakily trying to reach his arm out

@@MrMarvell IS IT A EUNIE AND TAION VIDEO!?!?!?!? BECAUSE LORD KNOWS I ship them like crazy. Even if they're the ultimate "Will they, won't they couple?" just seeing those two interact was like candy. Easy on the eyes and their conversations were gold.
They bring out the best of each other and are each other's home. I just love them so much

So I was going to mention that bit in the Eunie video..
And I still will, but now you've said about a video on Taion and Eunie, I will do one at some point as well. But it will probably be in a few weeks time 🙂
I LOVED the banter/disagreements between taion and Eunie in this game, very refreshing as in most xenoblade games the main party is just best buds and have no conflict with each other (most of the time anyway)
Taion and Lanz come pretty close
The close exemple is Mythra with every one in Torna.
Remember the simpleton. But yeah it's an other level. It's the darker and the funniest game in the same time.
Eunie was making a reference to clovers. 4th best bud and 4 leaf clover...and well she loves clovers.
Ahh. Taion’s character really came through for me during his dialogue with Eunie. After all that hostility in the beginning, he’s finally opening himself up completely
They did an amazing job making the characters in your party diverse and also play off of each other very well. Taion being the most practical character is a perfect foil for Eunie's brashness lol. And it also adds to the emotional scene when the most practical character cannot find the right words to say to help in a bad situation, like all hope is truly lost.
Taion was a character who I really didn’t care for at the start by the end he was one of my favorite characters in the game to be SURE
I’m happy that he seems to have that effect on people
Let me just say before Xenoblade Chronicles 3 came out, I didn’t think I’d like Taion very much. On the surface he just seemed like your typical cocky anime nerd...little did I know he would actually turn out to be one of the deepest characters in the entire game. I love Taion, I think he is so so well developed & I agree with everything you’ve said in this video!
Though Taion usually acts as the comedy straight man, it's really nice when you see him get caught off guard and he actually shows emotion
Taion best boi. I already love him since the trailer because he embodies H.B. the supreme strategist archetype.
But to my surprise, at the end of my pkaythrough, I fell in love with Lanz too despite hating him at the start. His interaction with Taion just like me and my bestfriend (obviously I'. the nerdy Taion and my bestfriend is literally a bodybuilder so Lanz).
Riku, Lanz, and Taion are my top 3 best XC3 characters.
About Eunie’s 4th place : 4 is her favorite and lucky number :)

I really love Taion character. Before the released I just love him because he is the intelectual guy with glasses 🤓🕶️👓 (I weare some) and because of his paper origami weapon. I'm a nerd don't juge me Then I play day 1. I see I was correct about him. But despite being a good version of me in a JRPG I saw little by little that, he was indeed great. It's not just me. I see that everyone love him. And I hope he will maybe not be inlove with Eunie but reunite at least.
Xenoblade does a great job of making characters likeable for me it was gondour I didn't really like her to start with but then as the story went on I slowly started to warm to her
Yeah a lot of people I like that with Ghondor.
I actually found her quite amusing from the start so liked her all the way! 😃
Ghondor really seems like the devs wanted her to be a main character. She's in like all the cutscenes she could have reasonably appeared in.

Yess, Taion is my favourite of the bunch! Not sure what I can say that hasn't already been said by others, but I love how he develops and opens up over the game. Eunie's tremors is a great starting point where you really get to see how much attention he pays to people around him and how caring he can be.
I don't play this game but are here cuz my brother mentioned Taion reminds him of me irl, so I'm here to see what he's on abt.
Taion and Eunie are my favorite duo in the game!
I cant decide who mine is, I think mine is maybe Lanz and Sena, but then there's Noah and Mio, and what about Taion and Eunie, how can I possibly choose?! 😆

Although i would like to add my two cents, to that last bit where you mention all the duos' relationships
There are 2 scenes that highlight the couples' relationships and connections, one being the trade flute scene and the scene before it, and the ending
First: The trade flute scene after mio runs off is framed by placing the party in pairs and highlighting their views about stuff, first you have Sena telling Noah that she feels jealous, at first I thought that she meant "im jealous that Mio opens up to you", but looking back after seeing the rest of the scene, she probably means that she feels jealous that Noah and Mio have a closer relationship, after this, we see Lanz commenting "count me out of all that" meaning the "relationship issues" that Noah and Mio are having, meanwhile Taion states something along the lines of "I'm not sure, maybe... nevermind" and when Lanz reads this as Taion having a similar view on relationships he offers a high five, that Taion refuses with the surface explanation that "high fives r dumb".
Later, after beating N on Agnus's castle, we have a small chat with Taion and Eunie, in which she states in an affectionate tone that she has finally found a reliable guy, and then teases Taion about it instead of telling him outright.
Second: We have the ending scene, in which it goes back around to concluding the characters' relationships, Sena is very affectionate to Lanz, but he dismisses it by joking around, although he clearly also cares for her, but maybe he's just not ready to express romantic feelings in that way, after all, I don't think he ever cried during the game, and that's part of his character, acting tough out of habit.
On the other hand we have Taion and Eunie, Taion once again cares for her and gives her the recipe book, while she teases him while complimenting him, also stating that he's her "fourth best" bud, like the FOURtune clovers she likes so much. In retrospect you could argue that maybe they just feel like very close companions to each other, but imo relationships and romantic feelings don't need to be physical to be appreciated as such

I wish I had taken my time playing the game. It took me a little while to get attached to the cast, and then they were gone.
Also Taion is def on the spectrum. I am too and he has the Vibes
What i love the most about Xenoblade series is not only the epic science fiction existentialist story but also how well written the characters are. Hopefully Nintendo remake Xenoblade x next
100%! they really do make you care about the characters, most games fail in that aspect.

Taion is a brilliant/nerdy man, but he missed the most important thing about Eunie. The fourth is the luckiest bud, and sure her favorite. Their relationship is priceless xD
Taion is probably the character that gets more development in the main party (excluding Noah and Mio of course), in the oposite end of the spectrum, Sena, poor Sena, even her hero quest wasn't about her and was more about Ghondor, I would've liked that she would find bridgid's diary, since Sena's design resembles Bridgid a lot, purple hair and blue flames and rule nº 1 of anime, if the hair or eyes match they're probably related

Do Sena next, she got pretty shafted in her hero ascension quest.
Shania is a mirror of Sena on what she could be… the writer does shows how similar they are if you play close attention, but it was shafted because Sena is complete character before her ascension quest happened and thus opted for flat character arc than developing one.
Sena is ridiculed for wielding a hammer on unnamed colony as they think her stature are more suitable with dual guns.
Shania on the other hand tried to copy Ghondor, forced an expectation to become Ouroboros candidate.
Each of them have passion outside of combat as well. Sena with muscle training, and Shania with painting, which is further implied with brush.
The real kicker is that if Sena never met Mio in the first place, she wouldn’t be around wielding big hammer and similarly with Shania if she never got outshined but Ghondor or keep painting.
I haven't quite decided who I'm doing next yet, but I will be making a video on all 6 characters so stay tuned 😃
@@NoirLouisStream I feel like the issue was that Taion, Eunie, Noah and Mio all get pretty blatant character development close to their backstory and have very obvious building points for their person background to become an issue to the current group. Lanz and Sena don't really have that as much, which means that theirs require looking for symbolism and doing psychoanalysis on how the characters are thinking and what they are meaning when they say something, like Lanz wanting more not referring to just food, but him wanting to explore other hobbies because he focused to hard on one thing and it's now not a good thing to do(fighting and getting stronger was his main interest, but fighting and killing opponents isn't a good idea anymore for them, thus he has to rewrite his brain to a greater degree than the rest of the party). The issue is, Sena and Lanz are the only two like that, and because you are more likely to see Noah's and Mio's first, you are used to more straightforward stories, making the side stories that require a much deeper reading seem less Interesting as a result. Having the two members of Ouroboros who are noted for not being particularly intelligent requiring the most brainpower to fully understand just doesn't sit right with me for some reason.

I must admit I was planning on doing Noah last, but who knows, it's not set in stone!
Also Eunies charackter would not have worked if taion woldnt be there or be different so, thats and entirely new argument.
Your audio is WAYY too quiet, I have to raise my phone's volume a lot to hear you and then by the time you play the cutscenes, they are super earrape.
My only problem with Taion is I find him to be a very cliché character. But he's developed very well during the game so I guess I can't really complain. His interventions are sometimes a bit useless too but that's ok.
taion useless? the guy was the mvp of most fights, especially against M :0
