- The crowds are back at Khaosan Road as businesses bounced back from the Covid-19 pandemic. Join me as I navigate through the human traffic in the carnival-like atmosphere with thumping music, street food (crocodile meat and deep fried scorpion etc) and weed being sold. Yes, weed. Marijuana and cannabis are openly sold here as Thailand has legalised the sale of these from June 2022. Please feel free to leave a comment to share your view on Khaosan Road.

I was on khaosan Road 3weeks ago,it was absolutely amazing,i did not see one fight through out the whole night,the atmosphere was amazing,the music was great and the people partyed all night,it was absolutely amazing,I will definitely be going back here in thailand again

Nightspots are filled by tourists. Shopping, eateries and Night Markets are still mainly patronised by locals. Better go before China opens her gates.

That place is incredible, and the filming must have been difficult although you produced a great result as usual. Watching it made me feel very old, but maybe that's because I am very old. I hope your work is going well.
Jim, you will feel young when you come here. I use my extension rod where I could film from overhead angle. Otherwise I will be filming the backs of the people in front of me.
Work is taxing from Mondays to Saturdays. I need to edit and deliver the footage the following days. I manage my time to create opportunities to go out on some evenings.

Wow, no kidding! I lived in and around the Blanglampoo (Khaosan Road area) from 2002 - 2004, and I can't even recognize any of the once familiar landmarks. All the shops I recall seem to have been replaced by beer bars and dance halls. Khaosan Road, which was always famous for its international clientele of backpackers and travelers from all over the world, appears to have turned into just another Patpong. Pity!

I am single traveller too, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. Perhaps the next road, Rambuttri Alley is for you. It's quieter and has lots of food and good ambience.
