First dinner of the new year has to be Hoppin John. It’s for good luck for the new year.
It was warmer in Michigan on Monday. 50 degrees on Christmas, which is crazy for us. Though, after looking it up, it looks like it's been unseasonably warm on Christmas three other times in my life lol.
I have a beautiful Decimo that I haven't been using because I disliked the EF nib. Two months ago I splurged on a new nib but haven't even taken it out of its package yet! You've inspired me to JUST INK IT AND USE IT! My go to ink is DeAtrementis Document Urban Grey - a nice true grey that shades to black. The document inks are waterproof and faster drying if you want to try colors 😊
The urban grey is on my wishlist!

Houston is rarely cold. It was cooler yesterday tho
We go out to an early dinner and then hang out at home. Also, we do not always get snow here in Dallas. We actually rarely get any and we haven’t had a cold winter yet. If we do get some it is different times 😂😂
Whyyyyyyy do people have me terrified after what happened in 2021?!
The rolling blackout was awful when it was freezing outside. We had a gas fireplace so we had to just sit on the couch and do nothing when it everything turned off. It isn’t common though. Our grid is awful and with so many moving here and the electric cars - it will only get worse
29 is too cold for me in MN. I need to move. Although it was 40s and 50s and rainy here over the last several days.

With the pilot pen, do you find the clip gets in the way of writing? I have had my eye on that beautiful pilot fountain pen but I see the clip right in the middle of where you would hold it seems to be a bit cumbersome, no….am I just being picky. I would love to know your thoughts/opinions. Thanks for listening to my rant 😂
Soooo yes and no. It took me a bit to figure out what grip was comfortable for me. I wish I could explain why they would put the clip there 🤣 I also love the weight of this fountain pen…. It feels fancy lol
@@JuliesPlansfountain pens , if I remember correctly, are supposed to be stored nib up or sideways to prevent the ink from drying out.
Ok I love the idea of the clicky fountain pen but I am so confused about the clip being on the writing end. Does that not get in the way?
It kind of gets in the way but you get used to it/ figure out a comfortable grip
