- If you have some boring old button ups that fit but just aren't serving...try this super easy craft to give your shirts a little more personality. Because this was an experiment, I upcycled a few thrift finds but I may have to do this with EVERY shirt I own.
For this craft tutorial, all you need is a stamp that you like, a heat erasable pen, some fabric medium, and some cheap acrylic paint. In about an hour, you can transform your pieces into garments that feel brand new and exciting!

Very cool. They look like they could have come from Anthropologie.
I inherited my dad's old flannel shirts when he passed. One of them had a pretty badly torn sleeve. I replaced them with black puff sleeves. I think it's one of my favorite random projects. I even found a couple of screw-head buttons for the cuffs. My dad was a handyman, so it felt really appropriate.
That's such a great idea!! I used some of my late grandfather's shirts to make rice hand warmers and Christmas ornaments.
Both turned out great but my favourite is the bee shirt. Love it!!!
I think I agree with you!
OMG stamps😍 . . . If there is annything in this world that I love, then its stamps (and my cats). . . and they turned out so well. Love the white one with the bees. But a few notes on the handling itself. When not stamping with ink, but with rather thik paint, its a good idea to aply the paint with a roler or a paintbrush, instead of pressing it in the paint, wich allowes an even coat of paint. Since this is fabric, it has a bit of give in itself, but I like to use a silkon mat as the underground for my stamping, because this allows you to press the details in very good. I also higly recoment getting silikon stamps, wich are a lot cheaper (if you stay away von big crafting brands) and come in so many cool shapes. You need some acrylic bases, but the stamps come in endless motives and are quite easy to store, because they are not mounted on wood . . . says the stamphorder . . . . 😂😘
Another great idea, ta! Your shirts look stylish and interesting. I fancy something a bit steampunk so I’m off to raid the stamp box.
I wonder how printing on jersey or t-shirt material would go? I have some tips with stains that might benefit from strategic stamping. Maybe combo of stamps and embroidery. 🐝🐞
Thanks for sharing your experimental process and makes. 🦺
I know they’ll wash off but I even like the subtle lines on the blue shirt.
Love love love the bees 🐝 😊
Great result! i particularly love how the white shirt turned out.
Looks so great! Gotta admit, the second you showed the stamps I thought, "AH! Eiffel Tower, Fleur-de-Lis, and the Napoleonic Bee - France! But I don't get the Key...?" Assuming you'd pulled them all to go together .. then you went a whole different way! Love this idea... though I would lack the courage to stamp onto clothing myself
I love how you left the fleur-de-lis off the shirt yoke it really made it pop for me.
That was totally unintentional but like you, I love it more than I thought!
What a cool idea and you’ve given me hope that some of my craft supplies that are years old are still useable 😊
Great idea. Love the white one with bees. Most of all i love ur dog! Looks so aforable❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
She is pretty great (most of the time 🤣)
This was such a fun tutorial! I want to attempt this! You had me cracking up when you said you didn't want to reach for your crab shirt😅
I love the idea so much! Thank you!
Love them! What a great idea.
Cool project
I'm growing some natural dye plants, and I'm gonna try coloring white cotton shirts with them when they're grown. Maybe that'll be personality...
I want to do this so much!!! Best of luck in your adventures!
Love it! What a great idea! If you don’t want to buy stamps you can even use things from around the house to make shapes or be abstracts
Bee-utiful! Sorry to comment with a pun, looks great but I cannot get into stamping fabric, too many endless possibilities xx
I love a good pun!!
I have a couple of white shirts that I am not so enamored with and I was thinking of throwing them in some dye but maybe this might be the way to go! I was wondering if you were going to use the fluer de lye stamp with a bit of bleach on the darker shirt, but that black paint worked.
The ironing shot with the disappearing ink was doubly satisfying 💙🤍🖤
My partner has a ton of nice shirts from before work-from-home and I’ve been looking for some ideas to casual up some for him but also make them more femme for me without trying to tailor masc fit to my body-this is perfect, thanks!!
Yay!! Good luck!!
